6 IEV यह बढ़ गई और भूमि पर फैली हुई एक निचली दाखलता बन गई। उसकी शाखाएँ उकाब की ओर ऊपर बढ़ीं, परन्तु उसकी जड़ें नीचे भूमि में बढ़ती गईं। अतः वह एक अच्छी बेल हो गई और उसमें कई शाखाएँ और पत्तियाँ उग आईं। BSB BSB: It sprouted and became a spreading vine, low in height, with branches turned toward him; yet its roots remained where it stood. So it became a vine and yielded branches and sent out shoots.
7 IEV परन्तु एक और बड़ा उकाब था जिसके मजबूत पंख थे और सुन्दर पंख थे। और उस बेल की कुछ जड़ें उस उकाब की ओर बढ़ीं, और उसकी शाखाएँ भी उसकी ओर मुड़ गईं, वे आशा कर रही थीं कि उकाब उसके लिए इससे अधिक पानी लाएगा। BSB BSB: But there was another great eagle with great wings and many feathers. And behold, this vine bent its roots toward him. It stretched out its branches to him from its planting bed, so that he might water it.

9 IEV जब तू लोगों को यह दृष्टान्त सुना चुके, तब उनसे कहना,‘यहोवा परमेश्वर कहते हैं: वह दाखलता स्वस्थ बनी नहीं रहेगी। उसे अपनी जड़ों समेत उस उकाब के द्वारा खींच लिया जाएगा जिसने उसे लगाया था, और उसके सारे फल फेंक दिए जाएँगे और उसकी पत्तियाँ सूख जाएँगी। और उसे अपनी जड़ों से खींच कर उखाड़ने के लिए बलवन्त बाँहों वाले या बहुत सारे लोगों की आवश्यकता नहीं होगी। BSB BSB: So you are to tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Will it flourish? Will it not be uprooted and stripped of its fruit so that it shrivels? All its foliage will wither! It will not take a strong arm or many people to pull it up by its roots.
10 IEV भले ही वह बेल लगाई गई है, वह निश्चय ही बढ़ती नहीं रहेगी। जब पूर्व से गर्म हवा इसके विरुद्ध चलेगी, तब वह जहाँ लगाई गई है वहाँ पूरी तरह से सूख जाएगी!” BSB BSB: Even if it is transplanted, will it flourish? Will it not completely wither when the east wind strikes? It will wither on the bed where it sprouted.’”
11 IEV तब यहोवा ने मुझे यह सन्देश दिया: BSB BSB: Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

15 IEV यहूदा के राजा ने अधिकारियों को मिस्र भेज कर बाबेल के राजा के विरुद्ध विद्रोह किया कि घोड़ों और बड़ी सेना के साथ बाबेल की सेना से युद्ध करने के लिए वह उनसे अनुरोध कर सकें। परन्तु यहूदा का राजा निश्चय ही सफल नहीं होगा। वह शासक जो इस तरह विद्रोह करते हैं और गम्भीर समझौते का पालन करने से इन्कार करते हैं, वे कभी नहीं बचेंगे। BSB BSB: But this king rebelled against Babylon by sending his envoys to Egypt to ask for horses and a large army. Will he flourish? Will the one who does such things escape? Can he break a covenant and yet escape?’
16 IEV मैं, यहोवा परमेश्वर, यह घोषणा करता हूँ कि निश्चय ही जैसे मैं जीवित हूँ, यहूदा का राजा बाबेल में मर जाएगा, जिस नगर में बाबेल के राजा ने उसे यहूदा का राजा नियुक्त किया था। वह मर जाएगा क्योंकि उसने गम्भीर समझौते को तुच्छ जाना और उसने जो करने की प्रतिज्ञा की वह करने से इन्कार कर दिया। BSB BSB: ‘As surely as I live,’ declares the Lord GOD, ‘he will die in Babylon, in the land of the king who enthroned him, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke.
17 IEV मिस्र का राजा अपनी बड़ी विशाल सेना के साथ यहूदा के राजा की सहायता करने में समर्थ नहीं होगा: बाबेल के सैनिक शहर की दीवारों के विरुद्ध ढलान बना लेंगे और दीवारों पर चोट मारने के लिए साधन स्थापित करेंगे। वे यरूशलेम में प्रवेश करेंगे और उनके कई लोगों को मार देंगे। BSB BSB: Pharaoh with his mighty army and vast horde will not help him in battle, when ramps are built and siege walls constructed to destroy many lives.
18 IEV यहूदा के राजा ने सन्धि का मान न रख कर गम्भीर समझौते को तुच्छ जाना। उसने बाबेल के राजा के नियंत्रण में रहने का गम्भीर वचन दिया था, फिर भी उसने मिस्र से सहायता का अनुरोध करने के लिए अधिकारियों को भेजा। इसलिए बाबेल का राजा उसे दण्ड देगा, वह बच नहीं पाएगा। BSB BSB: He despised the oath by breaking the covenant. Seeing that he gave his hand in pledge yet did all these things, he will not escape!’
19 IEV इस कारण मैं, यहोवा परमेश्वर, कहता हूँ: निश्चय ही जैसे मैं जीवित हूँ, वैसे ही मैं यहूदा के राजा को बाबेल के राजा के साथ किए गए गम्भीर समझौते को अनदेखा करने के लिए और फिर इसका पालन करने से इन्कार करने के लिए दण्ड दूँगा, क्योंकि यह मेरी अपेक्षाओं का उल्लंघन करता है। BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘As surely as I live, I will bring down upon his head My oath that he despised and My covenant that he broke.
20 IEV ऐसा होगा जैसे मैं उसे पकड़ने के लिए एक जाल फैलाऊँगा, और वह उसमें पकड़ा जाएगा। उसे पकड़ कर बाबेल में ले जाया जाएगा और दण्ड दिया जाएगा क्योंकि उसने मुझसे विद्रोह किया था। BSB BSB: I will spread My net over him and catch him in My snare. I will bring him to Babylon and execute judgment upon him there for the treason he committed against Me.

Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken.’
22 IEV यहोवा परमेश्वर यह भी कहते हैं:“यह ऐसा होगा जैसे कि मैं एक बहुत लम्बे देवदार के पेड़ के ऊपर से फुनगी लूँगा और उसे दूसरे स्थान में लगाऊँगा। मैं इसे एक बहुत ऊँचे पर्वत पर लगाऊँगा। BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will take a shoot from the lofty top of the cedar, and I will set it out. I will pluck a tender sprig from its topmost shoots, and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain.
23 IEV यह ऐसा होगा जैसे कि मैं इसे इस्राएल के एक पर्वत पर लगाऊँगा, और यह बढ़ेगा और एक सुन्दर देवदार का पेड़ बन जाएगा। कई प्रकार के पक्षी उस पेड़ में अपने घोंसले बनाएँगे, और वे उसकी शाखाओं के नीचे छाया पाएँगे। BSB BSB: I will plant it on the mountain heights of Israel so that it will bear branches; it will yield fruit and become a majestic cedar. Birds of every kind will nest under it, taking shelter in the shade of its branches.

I bring the tall tree down and make the low tree tall. I dry up the green tree and make the withered tree flourish. I, the LORD, have spoken, and I have done it.’”
