3 IEV “हे मनुष्य के पुत्र, पुरनियों से बात कर और उन्हें बता कि प्रभु यहोवा यह कहते हैं:‘क्या तुम यह पूछने आए हो कि यदि मेरी ओर से कोई सन्देश है, परन्तु निश्चय ही जैसे मैं जीवित हूँ, मैं तुमको मेरी ओर से किसी सन्देश को पूछने की अनुमति नहीं देता हूँ।’ BSB BSB: “Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: Have you come to inquire of Me? As surely as I live, I will not be consulted by you, declares the Lord GOD.

With an uplifted hand I said to them, ‘I am the LORD your God.’
6 IEV मैं तुमको मिस्र से बाहर निकाल लाऊँगा और तुमको उस देश में ले जाऊँगा जिसे मैंने तुम्हारे लिए चुना है। यह संसार में सबसे उपजाऊ और सुन्दर भूमि है। BSB BSB: On that day I swore to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the glory of all lands.

I am the LORD your God.’

None of them cast away the abominations before their eyes, and they did not forsake the idols of Egypt. So I resolved to pour out My wrath upon them and vent My anger against them in the land of Egypt.

11 IEV मैंने उन्हें अपने सारे नियम और आदेश दिए, कि वे उनका पालन करें, और जिसके परिणामस्वरूप वे लम्बे समय तक जीवित रहें। BSB BSB: And I gave them My statutes and made known to them My ordinances—for the man who does these things will live by them.

They did not follow My statutes and they rejected My ordinances—though the man who does these things will live by them—and they utterly profaned My Sabbaths. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath upon them and put an end to them in the wilderness.

18 IEV मैंने उनके बच्चों अर्थात् अगली पीढ़ी से कहा,‘उन कार्यों को न करो जो तुम्हारे माता पिता सदा करते हैं। उनकी मूर्तियों की उपासना न करो और ऐसा करने से मेरे लिए तुमको स्वीकार करना असम्भव न बनाओ। BSB BSB: In the wilderness I said to their children: ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers or keep their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols.
19 IEV मैं यहोवा तुम्हारा परमेश्वर हूँ। सावधानीपूर्वक मेरे नियमों और आज्ञाओं का पालन करो। BSB BSB: I am the LORD your God; walk in My statutes, keep My ordinances, and practice them.
20 IEV मेरे सब्त के दिनों का सम्मान करो, कि ऐसा करने से, यह तुमको स्मरण दिलाएगा कि तुम मेरे लोग हो। BSB BSB: Keep My Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us, so that you may know that I am the LORD your God.’

They did not walk in My statutes or carefully observe My ordinances—though the man who does these things will live by them—and they profaned My Sabbaths. So I resolved to pour out My wrath upon them and vent My anger against them in the wilderness.
22 IEV परन्तु मैंने ऐसा नहीं किया। मैंने एक बार और कुछ करने का निर्णय लिया कि अन्य जातियाँ, जो मुझे तुम्हारे लोगों को मिस्र से बाहर निकाल कर लाते हुए देख चुकी थीं, मुझ पर नहीं हँसेंगे और नहीं कहेंगे कि मैंने अपनी शक्ति खो दी है। BSB BSB: But I withheld My hand and acted for the sake of My name, so that it would not be profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.
23 IEV इसलिए मैंने जंगल में शपथ खाई कि मैं उन्हें कई जातियों में तितर बितर कर दूँगा, BSB BSB: However, with an uplifted hand I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them throughout the lands.

26 IEV मैंने उन्हें उन कार्यों को करने दिया जिनके कारण मेरे लिए उन्हें स्वीकार करना असम्भव हो गया था: मैंने उनको अपने पहलौठे बच्चों को आग में बलि चढ़ाने दिया। मैंने उनको ऐसा करने दिया जिससे कि वे स्वयं ही भयभीत हों, और वे जान जाएँगे कि जो मैं कहता हूँ कि मैं करूँगा, वह करने की मुझ यहोवा, में शक्ति है। BSB BSB: And I pronounced them unclean through their gifts—the sacrifice of every firstborn in the fire—so that I might devastate them, in order that they would know that I am the LORD.

So should I be consulted by you, O house of Israel? As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, I will not be consulted by you!
32 IEV तुम कहते हो,‘हम संसार की अन्य जातियों के समान बनना चाहते हैं। हम उनके समान लकड़ी और पत्थर से बनी मूर्तियों की आराधना करना चाहते हैं।’ परन्तु तुम जो चाहते हो वह कभी नहीं होगा।’ BSB BSB: When you say, ‘Let us be like the nations, like the peoples of the lands, serving wood and stone,’ what you have in mind will never come to pass.
33 IEV मैं, यहोवा परमेश्वर, कहता हूँ कि जैसे निश्चय ही मैं जीवित हूँ, मैं तुम पर शासन करने के लिए, और यह दिखाने के लिए कि मैं तुमसे क्रोधित हूँ अपनी महान शक्ति का उपयोग करूँगा। BSB BSB: As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, with a strong hand, an outstretched arm, and outpoured wrath I will rule over you.
34 IEV अपनी महान शक्ति के साथ मैं तुमको उन स्थानों से एकत्र करूँगा जहाँ मैंने तुमको तितर बितर किया है। BSB BSB: With a strong hand, an outstretched arm, and outpoured wrath I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands to which you have been scattered.
35 IEV मैं तुमको एक जंगल में लाऊँगा जो अन्य जातियों से घिरा हुआ है। वहाँ, मैं अपनी आँखों के सामने तुम्हारा न्याय करूँगा। BSB BSB: And I will bring you into the wilderness of the nations, where I will enter into judgment with you face to face.
36 IEV मैं तुमको दण्ड दूँगा, जैसा कि मैंने तुम्हारे पूर्वजों को मिस्र के पास जंगल में दण्ड दिया था। BSB BSB: Just as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you, declares the Lord GOD.
37 IEV मैं तुमको मेरे अधीन करूँगा; तुम्हारे साथ बाँधी गई वाचा का पालन करने के लिए मैं तुम्हें विवश करूँगा। BSB BSB: I will make you pass under the rod and will bring you into the bond of the covenant.

I will bring them out of the land in which they dwell, but they will not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

But afterward, you will surely listen to Me, and you will no longer defile My holy name with your gifts and idols.
40 IEV मैं, यहोवा तुम्हारा परमेश्वर, यह घोषणा करता हूँ कि वहाँ मेरी पवित्र पहाड़ी, सिय्योन पर, इस्राएल में उस ऊँची पहाड़ी पर, तुम मेरे लिए चढ़ावे ले कर आओगे, और मैं उन्हें स्वीकार करूँगा। मैं तुमसे अपेक्षा करूँगा कि भेंटें और चढ़ावे, और मेरे लिए अलग किए गए तुम्हारे बलिदानों को वहाँ ले कर आओ। BSB BSB: For on My holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel, declares the Lord GOD, there the whole house of Israel, all of them, will serve Me in the land. There I will accept them and will require your offerings and choice gifts, along with all your holy sacrifices.
41 IEV जब मैं तुमको उन अन्य राष्ट्रों से बाहर लाऊँगा जिनमें तुम तितर बितर किए गए हो, तो मैं तुमको स्वीकार करूँगा जैसे कि तुम सुगन्धित धूप थे। मैं अन्य राष्ट्रों के लोगों को दिखाऊँगा कि मैंने स्वयं को पवित्र के रूप में अलग कर दिया है, कि मुझे सम्मानित किया जा सके। BSB BSB: When I bring you from the peoples and gather you from the lands to which you have been scattered, I will accept you as a pleasing aroma. And I will show My holiness through you in the sight of the nations.

47 IEV इस्राएल के दक्षिणी जंगल से कह: इस सन्देश को सुनो जो यहोवा परमेश्वर तुम्हारे विषय में कह रहे हैं: मैं तुम्हारे बीच में एक आग जलाने वाला हूँ, और यह तुम्हारे सारे पेड़ों को जला देगी, हरे पेड़ और सूखे पेड़ दोनों को। उस जलती आग को कुछ भी बुझा नहीं पाएगा। और वह आग दक्षिण से उत्तर तक उस क्षेत्र में रहने वाले हर किसी के चेहरों को झुलसा देगी। BSB BSB: Say to the forest of the Negev: Hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Lord GOD says: I am about to ignite in you a fire, and it will devour all your trees, both green and dry. The blazing flame will not be quenched, and by it every face from south to north will be scorched.
