1 IEV फिर, यीशु पवित्र- आत्मा से भर कर, यरदन नदी से लौटे, और पवित्र- आत्मा उन्हें मरुभूमि में ले गए। BSB BSB: Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 IEV पवित्र- आत्मा उन्हें चालीस दिन के लिए मरुभूमि में ले गए। जब वह वहाँ थे, शैतान उनकी परीक्षा करता रहा। उन दिनों में उन्होंने कुछ नहीं खाया था, इसलिए जब चालीस दिन पूरे हो गए, तब उन्हें बहुत भूख लगी। BSB BSB: where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry.
3 IEV फिर शैतान ने यीशु से कहा,“यदि तुम सच में परमेश्वर के पुत्र हो, तो इन पत्थरों को आज्ञा दो कि वे तुम्हारे खाने के लिए रोटी बन जाए!” BSB BSB: The devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”
4 IEV यीशु ने उत्तर दिया,“नहीं, क्योंकि पवित्रशास्त्र में लिखा है,‘लोगों को जीवित रहने के लिए भोजन से भी अधिक की आवश्यकता होती हैं।’ BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”
5 IEV तब शैतान यीशु को एक ऊँचे पर्वत की चोटी पर ले गया और उन्हें संसार के सब देश पल भर में दिखाए। BSB BSB: Then the devil led Him up to a high place and showed Him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.
6 IEV फिर उसने यीशु से कहा,“मैं तुम्हें इन सब देशों पर राज्य करने का अधिकार दूँगा और तुम उनकी सारी महिमा और धन प्राप्त करोगे। परमेश्वर ने मुझे इन सबको अपने वश में रखने की अनुमति दी है, और मैं जिसे चाहता हूँ, उसे दे सकता हूँ। BSB BSB: “I will give You authority over all these kingdoms and all their glory,” he said. “For it has been relinquished to me, and I can give it to anyone I wish.
7 IEV यदि तुम मेरी आराधना करो, तो यह सब तुम्हारा हो जाएगा!” BSB BSB: So if You worship me, it will all be Yours.”
8 IEV पर यीशु ने उत्तर दिया,“नहीं, क्योंकि पवित्रशास्त्र में लिखा है,‘तू केवल अपने प्रभु परमेश्वर की आराधना करना, केवल उन्हीं की सेवा करना। BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’”
9 IEV तब शैतान यीशु को यरूशलेम ले गया। उसने उन्हें आराधनालय के ऊँचे भाग पर खड़ा कर दिया और कहा,“यदि तुम परमेश्वर के पुत्र हो, तो यहाँ से नीचे कूद जाओ। BSB BSB: Then the devil led Him to Jerusalem and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple. “If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down from here.
10 IEV तुम्हें चोट नहीं लगेगी, क्योंकि शास्त्रों में लिखा है,‘परमेश्वर तुम्हें बचाने के लिए अपने स्वर्गदूतों को आज्ञा देंगे।’ BSB BSB: For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You to guard You carefully,
11 IEV और यह भी लिखा है,‘जब तुम गिरो, तब वे तुम्हें अपने हाथों में उठा लेंगे कि तुम्हें चोट न लगे। तुम्हारे पैर को भी पत्थर से ठेस न लगे।’” BSB BSB: and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
12 IEV परन्तु यीशु ने उत्तर दिया,“नहीं, क्योंकि पवित्रशास्त्र में लिखा है:‘अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की परीक्षा लेने का प्रयास मत करना।” BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “It also says, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
13 IEV जब शैतान ने यीशु को लुभाने के कई उपाय कर लिए तो कुछ समय के लिए उन्हें छोड़ कर चला गया। BSB BSB: When the devil had finished every temptation, he left Him until an opportune time.
14 IEV इसके बाद, यीशु मरुभूमि से आकर गलील जिले में लौट गए। पवित्र- आत्मा उन्हें शक्ति दे रहे थे। उस पूरे क्षेत्र में, लोगों ने यीशु के विषय में सुना और दूसरों को उनके विषय में बताया। BSB BSB: Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news about Him spread throughout the surrounding region.
15 IEV उन्होंने लोगों को उनके आराधनालयों में शिक्षा दी और उनके उपदेशों के कारण सब लोग उनकी बहुत बड़ाई करते थे। BSB BSB: He taught in their synagogues and was glorified by everyone.
17 IEV आराधनालय के एक सेवक ने उन्हें एक पुस्तक दी, जिसमें भविष्यद्वक्ता यशायाह के द्वारा पूर्व काल में लिखे हुए वचन थे। यीशु ने पुस्तक को खोला और वह अंश निकाला जहाँ ये वचन लिखे गए थे: BSB BSB: the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. Unrolling it, He found the place where it was written:
18 IEV “प्रभु का पवित्र- आत्मा मुझ पर है उन्होंने मुझे नियुक्त किया है कि गरीबों को परमेश्वर का सुसमाचार सुनाऊँ। उन्होंने मुझे यहाँ प्रचार करने के लिए भेजा है कि बन्दी मुक्त हो जाएँ, और जो लोग अन्धे हैं उन्हें कहूँ कि वे फिर से देखें। मैं उन लोगों को मुक्त कर दूँ जिन्हें दबाया जाता है। BSB BSB: “The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed,
19 IEV उन्होंने मुझे यहाँ यह घोषणा करने के लिए भेजा है कि अब समय आ गया है कि प्रभु लोगों के लिए कृपा के कार्य करेंगे।” BSB BSB: to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
20 IEV फिर उन्होंने पुस्तक बन्द करके उसे सेवक को वापस कर दिया, और बैठ गए। आराधनालय में सब लोग उनकी ओर ध्यान से देख रहे थे। BSB BSB: Then He rolled up the scroll, returned it to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on Him,
21 IEV उन्होंने उनसे कहा,“आज ही यह लेख पूरा हुआ जिसे तुमने सुना है।” BSB BSB: and He began by saying, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
22 IEV वहाँ उपस्थित सब जनों ने यीशु की बातों को सुना और आश्चर्य किया और उनके बोलने की कुशलता देख कर आश्चर्यचकित हो गए। परन्तु उनमें से कुछ लोगों ने कहा,“क्या यह यूसुफ का पुत्र नहीं?” BSB BSB: All spoke well of Him and marveled at the gracious words that came from His lips. “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?” they asked.
23 IEV उन्होंने उनसे कहा,“निश्चय ही तुम में से कुछ यह कहावत मुझसे कहोगे कि‘हे वैद्य, पहले अपने आपको ठीक कर! तुम कहोगे, यहाँ अपने जन्म स्थान में भी वैसे चमत्कार कर जैसे तूने कफरनहूम में किए हैं।’” BSB BSB: Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to Me: ‘Physician, heal yourself! Do here in Your hometown what we have heard that You did in Capernaum.’”
24 IEV फिर उन्होंने कहा,“यह निश्चय ही सच है कि भविष्यद्वक्ता के जन्म स्थान के लोग उसके सन्देश को स्वीकार नहीं करते। BSB BSB: Then He added, “Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.
25 IEV परन्तु इस विषय में सोचो: एलिय्याह भविष्यद्वक्ता के जीवनकाल में जब अकाल पड़ा था, तब इस्राएल में अनेक विधवाएँ थीं अकाल भयंकर था क्योंकि साढ़े तीन वर्ष वर्षा नहीं हुई थी। BSB BSB: But I tell you truthfully that there were many widows in Israel in the time of Elijah, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and great famine swept over all the land.
26 IEV परन्तु परमेश्वर ने एलिय्याह को उन इस्राएली विधवाओं में से किसी की सहायता के लिए नहीं भेजा, परमेश्वर ने उसे सीदोन के समीप के सारफत नगर में भेजा, कि वहाँ वह एक विधवा की सहायता करे। BSB BSB: Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to the widow of Zarephath in Sidon.
27 IEV एलीशा भविष्यद्वक्ता के जीवनकाल में इस्राएल में बहुत से कोढ़ी थे। परन्तु एलीशा ने उनमें से किसी को भी ठीक नहीं किया। उसने केवल सीरिया के नामान नामक व्यक्ति को स्वस्थ किया।” BSB BSB: And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet. Yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.”
28 IEV आराधनालय में उपस्थित लोगों ने उसे यह कहते सुना, तो वे बहुत क्रोधित हुए। BSB BSB: On hearing this, all the people in the synagogue were enraged.
29 IEV उन सब ने उठकर उन्हें शहर से बाहर निकाला। वे उन्हें अपने शहर के बाहर पहाड़ी की चोटी पर ले गए कि उन्हें चोटी से नीचे गिरा दें और उन्हें मार डालें। BSB BSB: They got up, drove Him out of the town, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw Him over the cliff.
30 IEV परन्तु वह उनके बीच में से निकल कर चले गए। BSB BSB: But Jesus passed through the crowd and went on His way.
31 IEV एक दिन वह गलील जिले के कफरनहूम नगर में गए और सब्त के दिन उन्होंने लोगों को आराधनालय में शिक्षा दी। BSB BSB: Then He went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath He began to teach the people.
32 IEV वे जो शिक्षा देते थे, उससे लोग निरन्तर चकित होते थे, क्योंकि वह अधिकार से बातें करते थे। BSB BSB: They were astonished at His teaching, because His message had authority.
33 IEV उस दिन, आराधनालय में एक व्यक्ति आया था जो एक दुष्ट- आत्मा के वश में था। वह व्यक्ति ऊँचे शब्द से चिल्लाया, BSB BSB: In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon. He cried out in a loud voice,
34 IEV “हे नासरत के यीशु, दुष्ट- आत्माओं का तुम्हारे साथ कुछ कार्य नहीं है, क्या तुम हम सबको नाश करने के लिए आए हो? मैं जानता हूँ कि तुम कौन हो, तुम परमेश्वर के पवित्र जन हो! BSB BSB: “Ha! What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”
35 IEV यीशु ने दुष्ट- आत्मा को डाँटा और कहा,“चुप हो जा और उस मनुष्य में से निकल जा!” तब दुष्ट- आत्मा ने उस व्यक्ति को लोगों के बीच में भूमि पर गिरा दिया और उसे बिना हानि पहुँचाए उसमें से बाहर निकल आया। BSB BSB: But Jesus rebuked the demon. “Be silent!” He said. “Come out of him!” At this, the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without harming him.
36 IEV आराधनालय में उपस्थित सब जन बहुत चकित थे। उन्होंने एक दूसरे से कहा,“वह अधिकार से बोलते है, और उनके वचनों में इतना सामर्थ्य है! यहाँ तक कि दुष्ट- आत्माएँ भी लोगों में से निकल जाती है!” BSB BSB: All the people were overcome with amazement and asked one another, “What is this message? With authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”
37 IEV और आस- पास के क्षेत्रों में और हर जगह, लोगों ने यीशु के कार्यों के विषय में चर्चा की। BSB BSB: And the news about Jesus spread throughout the surrounding region.
38 IEV फिर यीशु आराधनालय को छोड़ कर शमौन के घर गए। शमौन की सास बीमार थी और उसे तेज ज्वर था। वहाँ उपस्थित कुछ लोगों ने उसको स्वस्थ करने के लिए यीशु से कहा। BSB BSB: After Jesus had left the synagogue, He went to the home of Simon, whose mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever. So they appealed to Jesus on her behalf,
39 IEV तो वह उसके निकट खड़े हुए और ज्वर को निकल जाने की आज्ञा दी। तुरन्त वह अच्छी हो गई और उठकर उन्हें खाने को दिया। BSB BSB: and He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And she got up at once and began to serve them.
40 IEV उस दिन सूर्यास्त के समय, बहुत से लोग यीशु के पास अपने मित्रों और सम्बन्धियों को ले कर आए, जो अनेक रोगों से बीमार थे। उन्होंने उन पर हाथ रख कर उन सबको स्वस्थ किया। BSB BSB: At sunset, all who were ill with various diseases were brought to Jesus, and laying His hands on each one, He healed them.
41 IEV उन्होंने दुष्ट- आत्माओं को लोगों से बाहर आने के लिए विवश कर दिया था। जब दुष्टात्माएँ उन लोगों को छोड़ कर निकल रहीं थी, तब उन्होंने यीशु से चिल्लाकर कहा,“आप परमेश्वर के पुत्र हैं!” परन्तु उन्होंने उन दुष्ट- आत्माओं को आज्ञा दी, कि वह लोगों को उनके विषय में न बताए, क्योंकि वे जानती थी कि वह मसीह हैं। BSB BSB: Demons also came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But He rebuked the demons and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ.
42 IEV अगली सुबह यीशु एक निर्जन स्थान पर गए। लोगों की भीड़ उन्हें खोज रही थी और जब वह वहाँ पहुँचे जहाँ यीशु थे तो उन्होंने यीशु को जाने से रोकने का प्रयास किया। BSB BSB: At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place, and the crowds were looking for Him. They came to Him and tried to keep Him from leaving.
43 IEV परन्तु उन्होंने उनसे कहा,“मुझे अन्य नगरों के लोगों को भी बताना है कि परमेश्वर कैसे शासन करने जा रहें हैं, क्योंकि यही करने के लिए मुझे भेजा गया है।” BSB BSB: But Jesus told them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well, because that is why I was sent.”
44 IEV इसलिए वह यहूदिया प्रान्त के विभिन्न नगरों के आराधनालयों में प्रचार करते रहे। BSB BSB: And He continued to preach in the synagogues of Judea.
