3 IEV मरुभूमि में उसकी वाणी सुनने वाले मनुष्य से वह कहेगा, प्रभु का मार्ग तैयार करो।’ BSB BSB: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.’”
4 IEV जिस दूत के विषय में यशायाह ने लिखा था; वह यूहन्ना था। लोग उसे“बपतिस्मा देने वाला” कहते थे। यूहन्ना मरुभूमि में रहता था; वह लोगों को बपतिस्मा दे रहा था और उनसे कह रहा था,“क्षमा माँगों कि तुमने पाप किया है, और पापों का त्याग करने का निर्णय लो, कि परमेश्वर तुमको क्षमा करे; तब मैं तुम्हें बपतिस्मा दूँगा।” BSB BSB: John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
5 IEV यहूदिया और यरूशलेम शहर से लोगों की एक बड़ी भीड़ निकलकर, यूहन्ना को सुनने के लिए मरुभूमि में गई; उनमें से बहुत से लोगों ने यूहन्ना को सुना और स्वीकार किया कि उन्होंने पाप किए हैं। तब यूहन्ना ने उन्हें यरदन नदी में बपतिस्मा दिया। BSB BSB: People went out to him from all of Jerusalem and the countryside of Judea. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.
6 IEV यूहन्ना ऊँट के बाल से बने वस्त्र पहनता था और कमर पर चमड़े की पेटी बाँधे रहता था। वह टिड्डियाँ और शहद खाता था। BSB BSB: John was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
7 IEV वह उपदेश दे रहा था,“बहुत शीघ्र ही मेरे बाद वह आएँगे, जो बहुत महान है, मैं उनकी तुलना में कुछ नहीं हूँ। मैं दास के समान उनके जूतों के फीते खोलने के योग्य भी नहीं हूँ। BSB BSB: And he proclaimed: “After me will come One more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.
8 IEV मैंने तुमको पानी से बपतिस्मा दिया, परन्तु वह तुमको पवित्र- आत्मा से बपतिस्मा देंगे।” BSB BSB: I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
9 IEV जब यूहन्ना प्रचार कर रहा था, तब यीशु गलील क्षेत्र के नासरत से वहाँ गए जहाँ यूहन्ना प्रचार कर रहा था, और यूहन्ना ने उन्हें यरदन नदी में बपतिस्मा दिया। BSB BSB: In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
10 IEV यीशु के पानी से निकलने के तुरन्त बाद, उन्होंने स्वर्ग को खुलते हुए देखा और परमेश्वर के आत्मा को अपने ऊपर आते देखा। परमेश्वर के आत्मा कबूतर के रूप में उन पर उतरा। BSB BSB: As soon as Jesus came up out of the water, He saw the heavens breaking open and the Spirit descending on Him like a dove.
11 IEV परमेश्वर ने स्वर्ग से कहा,“आप मेरे पुत्र हो, जिसे मैं बहुत प्रेम करता हूँ। मैं आप से प्रसन्न हूँ।” BSB BSB: And a voice came from heaven: “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”
12 IEV तब परमेश्वर के आत्मा यीशु को तुरन्त मरुभूमि में ले गए। BSB BSB: At once the Spirit drove Jesus into the wilderness,
13 IEV वह चालीस दिन तक वहाँ थे। उस समय शैतान उन्हें परख रहा था और वह वहाँ जंगली पशुओं के साथ थे, और स्वर्गदूतों ने उनकी सेवा की। BSB BSB: and He was there for forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and the angels ministered to Him.
15 IEV वह कह रहे थे,“अन्त का समय आ गया है, परमेश्वर का राज्य निकट है। क्षमा माँगो कि तुमने पाप किया है, और पाप त्यागने का निर्णय करो कि परमेश्वर तुमको क्षमा करे। सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करो। BSB BSB: “The time is fulfilled,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the gospel!”
16 IEV एक दिन, जब यीशु गलील की झील के किनारे चल रहे थे, तो उन्होंने शमौन और उसके भाई अन्द्रियास को देखा। वे झील में मछली पकड़ने के लिए जाल को डाल रहे थे। वे मछली पकड़ कर बेचने का कार्य करते थे। BSB BSB: As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
17 IEV तब यीशु ने उनसे कहा,“मेरे पीछे चले आओ, जैसे तुम मछली पकड़ रहे हो, वैसे ही मैं तुमको मनुष्यों को पकड़ना सिखाऊँगा।” BSB BSB: “Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”
18 IEV उन्होंने तुरन्त अपने जाल को छोड़ दिया, और उनके पीछे हो लिए। BSB BSB: And at once they left their nets and followed Him.
20 IEV जब यीशु ने उन्हें देखा, तो उन्होंने उन दोनों से कहा कि वे उनके पीछे हो लें। इसलिए उन्होंने अपने पिता को छोड़ दिया, जो किराए के दासों के साथ नाव में था, और वे यीशु के पीछे चले गए। BSB BSB: Immediately Jesus called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed Him.
22 IEV वह जिस प्रकार से सिखाते थे, उसे देख वे आश्चर्यचकित हुए। वह ऐसे शिक्षक के समान सिखाते थे जो स्वयं के ज्ञान पर निर्भर रहता है। वह उन लोगों के समान शिक्षा नहीं देते थे जो यहूदी नियमों को सिखाते थे, और उन बातों को दोहराते थे जो अन्य शिक्षकों द्वारा सिखाई गई थीं। BSB BSB: The people were astonished at His teaching, because He taught as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.
23 IEV आराधनालय में, जहाँ यीशु सिखाया करते थे, वहाँ एक व्यक्ति था जिसे दुष्ट- आत्मा ने अपने वश में किया हुआ था। दुष्ट- आत्मा वाला वह व्यक्ति चिल्लाने लगा, BSB BSB: Suddenly a man with an unclean spirit cried out in the synagogue:
24 IEV “हे! नासरत के यीशु! हम दुष्ट- आत्माओं को आप से कोई कार्य नहीं है! क्या आप हमें नाश करने के लिए आए हो? मुझे पता है कि आप कौन हो। आप परमेश्वर के पवित्र जन हैं! BSB BSB: “What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”
25 IEV यीशु ने दुष्ट- आत्मा को यह कहते हुए डाँटा,“चुप हो जा और उससे बाहर निकल!” BSB BSB: But Jesus rebuked the spirit. “Be silent!” He said. “Come out of him!”
26 IEV दुष्ट- आत्मा ने उस व्यक्ति को बुरी तरह से हिला दिया। वह जोर से चिल्लाई, और फिर वह उस व्यक्ति से बाहर निकल गई और चली गई। BSB BSB: At this, the unclean spirit threw the man into convulsions and came out with a loud shriek.
27 IEV जो लोग वहाँ थे वे सब चकित हो गए! उन्होंने आपस में यह चर्चा की,“यह आश्चर्यजनक है! वह न केवल एक नए और आधिकारिक रीति से शिक्षा देतें हैं, वरन् वह दुष्ट- आत्माओं को भी आज्ञा देते हैं और वे उनकी आज्ञा मानती हैं!” BSB BSB: All the people were amazed and began to ask one another, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him!”
28 IEV उनका नाम लोगों ने अति शीघ्र गलील के पूरे क्षेत्र में सब लोगों को बता दिया। BSB BSB: And the news about Jesus spread quickly through the whole region of Galilee.
30 IEV शमौन की सास बिस्तर पर लेटी थी क्योंकि उसे बहुत तेज ज्वर था। उन्होंने यीशु को उसके बीमार होने का समाचार दिया। BSB BSB: Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a fever, and they promptly told Jesus about her.
31 IEV यीशु उसके पास गए, हाथ पकड़ कर उसे उठाने में उसकी सहायता की। उसका ज्वर तुरन्त उतर गया और उसने उनकी सेवा करना आरम्भ कर दिया। BSB BSB: So He went to her, took her by the hand, and helped her up. The fever left her, and she began to serve them.
33 IEV ऐसा प्रतीत होता था जैसे कि शहर में रहने वाले सब लोग शमौन के घर के द्वार पर एकत्र हो गए थे। BSB BSB: and the whole town gathered at the door.
34 IEV यीशु ने कई लोगों को स्वस्थ किया जो कई बीमारियों से पीड़ित थे। उन्होंने लोगों में से कई दुष्ट- आत्माओं को बाहर निकला। उन्होंने दुष्ट- आत्माओं को उनके विषय में लोगों को बताने की आज्ञा नहीं दी, क्योंकि वे जानती थीं कि वह कौन हैं। BSB BSB: And He healed many who were ill with various diseases and drove out many demons. But He would not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.
35 IEV अगली सुबह यीशु बहुत शीघ्र ही उठ गए, जबकि अंधेरा था। वह घर से निकले और शहर से दूर चले गए जहाँ कोई नहीं था। वहाँ उन्होंने प्रार्थना की। BSB BSB: Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and went out to a solitary place to pray.
36 IEV शमौन और उसके साथी उन्हें खोजने गए! BSB BSB: Simon and his companions went to look for Him,
37 IEV जब उन्होंने उन्हें ढूँढ़ लिया तो उन्होंने कहा,“सब लोग आपको खोज रहे हैं।” BSB BSB: and when they found Him, they said, “Everyone is looking for You!”
38 IEV उन्होंने उनसे कहा,“हमें पड़ोसी गाँवों में जाना है कि मैं वहाँ भी प्रचार कर सकूँ। यही कारण है कि मैं इसलिए निकला हूँ।” BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “Let us go on to the neighboring towns so I can preach there as well, for that is why I have come.”
39 IEV तब वे गलील के पार चले गए। जब वे चले गए, तो यीशु ने आराधनालयों में प्रचार किया और दुष्ट- आत्माओं को लोगों से बाहर निकाला। BSB BSB: So He went throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.
41 IEV यीशु ने उस पर तरस खाया! उन्होंने अपना हाथ उसकी ओर बढ़ाया और उसे छुआ। तब उन्होंने उससे कहा,“क्योंकि मैं तुझे स्वस्थ करने की इच्छा रखता हूँ! स्वस्थ हो जा।” BSB BSB: Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!”
42 IEV तुरन्त ही वह व्यक्ति ठीक हो गया! वह अब एक कुष्ठ रोगी नहीं रहा! BSB BSB: And immediately the leprosy left him, and the man was cleansed.
43 IEV उस व्यक्ति को भेजते समय यीशु ने उसे चेतावनी दी! BSB BSB: Jesus promptly sent him away with a stern warning:
44 IEV उन्होंने कहा,“जो अभी हुआ वह किसी को नहीं बताना! याजक के पास जा और अपने आपको उसे दिखा, वे तेरी जाँच करें और देखें कि अब तुम्हें कुष्ठ रोग नहीं है। फिर मूसा द्वारा कुष्ठ रोगियों के स्वस्थ होने पर ठहराई भेंट चढ़ा। यह समाज के लिए गवाही होगी कि अब तुझे को कुष्ठ रोग नहीं है।” BSB BSB: “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
45 IEV उस व्यक्ति ने यीशु के निर्देशों का पालन नहीं किया। उसने कई लोगों को बताना आरम्भ कर दिया कि कैसे यीशु ने उसे स्वस्थ किया था! इस कारण यीशु अब शहरों में सबके सामने प्रवेश नहीं कर पा रहे थे, क्योंकि लोगों की भीड़ उन्हें घेर लेती थी। इस कारण, वह नगरों के बाहर उन स्थानों में रहे जहाँ कोई भी नहीं रहता था। परन्तु लोग उस पूरे क्षेत्र से यीशु के पास आते जा रहे थे। BSB BSB: But the man went out and openly began to proclaim and spread the news. Consequently, Jesus could no longer enter a town in plain view, but He stayed out in solitary places. Yet people came to Him from every quarter.
