46कुल 6, 03, 550 पुरुष थे।And all those counted totaled 603,550.

47परन्तु इस संख्या में लेवी गोत्र के पुरुषों के नाम सम्मिलित नहीं थे,The Levites, however, were not numbered along with them by the tribe of their fathers.

48क्योंकि यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा था,For the LORD had said to Moses:

49“जब तुम इस्राएल के गोत्रों के पुरुषों की गिनती करते हो, तो लेवी गोत्र के पुरुषों की गणना मत करना।“Do not number the tribe of Levi in the census with the other Israelites.

50पवित्र- तम्बू और सन्दूक जिसमें वे पटियाएँ हैं जिन पर दस आज्ञाएँ लिखी गई हैं, देखभाल करने के लिए लेवी के पुरुष वंशजों को नियुक्त कर। उन्हें तम्बू के भीतर की अन्य वस्तुओं की भी देखभाल करनी है। जब तुम यात्रा करते हो, तो यही लोग पवित्र- तम्बू और उसके भीतर की सभी वस्तुओं को उठाएँ, और इसकी देखभाल करें और इसके चारों ओर अपने तम्बू स्थापित करें।Instead, you are to appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the Testimony, all its furnishings, and everything in it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its articles, care for it, and camp around it.

Any outsider who goes near it must be put to death.

52प्रत्येक इस्राएली गोत्र के लोग अपने तम्बू को अपने क्षेत्र में स्थापित करें, और वे एक झण्डा स्थापित करें जो उनके गोत्र का प्रतीक हो।The Israelites are to camp by their divisions, each man in his own camp and under his own standard.

So the Levites are responsible for the tabernacle of the Testimony.”

54तब इस्राएलियों ने सब कुछ वैसा ही किया जैसा यहोवा ने मूसा को आज्ञा दी थी।Thus the Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
