4 UDB परन्तु अब हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने हमें आस-पास के देशों के साथ शान्ति बनाए रखने में सक्षम बनाया है। कोई ऐसा संकट नहीं है कि हम पर हमला किया जाएगा। BSB BSB: But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or crisis.
5 UDB यहोवा ने मेरे पिता दाऊद से वादा किया था, 'तेरा पुत्र, जिसे मैं तेरे बाद राजा बनाऊंगा, वह मेरे, परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिए एक भवन बनायेगा।' BSB BSB: So behold, I plan to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God, according to what the LORD said to my father David: ‘I will put your son on your throne in your place, and he will build the house for My Name.’
6 UDB इसलिए मैं अनुरोध करता हूँ कि तू अपने कर्मचारियों को मेरे लिए देवदार के पेड़ों को काटने की आज्ञा दे। मेरे कर्मचारी उनके साथ काम करेंगे, और जो कुछ तू तय करता है, मैं तेरे कर्मचारियों को अदा करूँगा। लेकिन मेरे कर्मचारी अकेले काम नहीं कर सकते क्योंकि वे नहीं जानते कि सीदोन शहर में तेरे कर्मचारियों की तरह कैसे पेड़ काटें।" BSB BSB: Now therefore, order that cedars of Lebanon be cut down for me. My servants will be with your servants, and I will pay your servants whatever wages you set, for you know that there are none among us as skilled in logging as the Sidonians.”
7 UDB जब हीराम ने सुलैमान से सन्देश सुना, तो वह बहुत आनंदित हुआ और कहा, "आज मैं यहोवा की स्तुति करता हूँ कि उस महान राष्ट्र पर शासन करने के लिए दाऊद को एक बुद्धिमान पुत्र दिया!" BSB BSB: When Hiram received Solomon’s message, he rejoiced greatly and said, “Blessed be the LORD this day! He has given David a wise son over this great people!”

There I will separate the logs, and you can take them away. And in exchange, you can meet my needs by providing my household with food.”
10 UDB इसलिए हीराम ने अपने कर्मचारियों के लिए सभी देवदार और सनोवर लकड़ी की आपूर्ति करने की व्यवस्था की जो सुलैमान चाहता था। BSB BSB: So Hiram provided Solomon with all the cedar and cypress timber he wanted,

12 UDB यहोवा ने सुलैमान को बुद्धिमान होने में सक्षम बनाया, जैसा उसने वादा किया था। सुलैमान और हीराम ने संधि की। BSB BSB: And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.
13 UDB राजा सुलैमान ने पूरे इस्राएल से तीस हजार लोगों को बंधुआ मजदूर बनाया। BSB BSB: Then King Solomon conscripted a labor force of 30,000 men from all Israel.
14 UDB अदोनीराम उनका मालिक था। सुलैमान ने पुरुषों को तीन समूहों में विभाजित किया। प्रत्येक महीने उनमें से दस हजार लबानोन गए और वहाँ एक महीने तक काम किया, और फिर वे दो महीने के लिए घर वापस आये। BSB BSB: He sent them to Lebanon in monthly shifts of 10,000 men, so that they would spend one month in Lebanon and two months at home.
