1 UDB इस्राएल के राजा यारोबाम के सताईसवें वर्ष तक शासन करने के बाद यहूदा के राजा अमस्याह के पुत्र अजर्याह ने शासन करना आरम्भ कर दिया। BSB BSB: In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam’s reign over Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah became king of Judah.
2 UDB जब उसने शासन करना आरम्भ किया, तब वह सोलह वर्ष का था, और उसने बावन वर्ष तक यरूशलेम पर शासन किया। उसकी माता यकोल्याह थी। वह यरूशलेम से थी। BSB BSB: He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother’s name was Jecoliah; she was from Jerusalem.

5 UDB यहोवा ने अजर्याह को कुष्ठ रोगी बना दिया और वह शेष जीवन में रोगी ही रहा। उसे महल में रहने की अनुमति नहीं थी। वह अकेले घर में रहता था, और उसके बेटे योताम ने देश पर शासन किया था। BSB BSB: And the LORD afflicted the king with leprosy until the day he died, so that he lived in a separate house while his son Jotham had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.

7 UDB अजर्याह की मृत्यु हो गई और उसे यरूशलेम में दाऊद के शहर में दफनाया गया, जहाँ उसके पूर्वजों को दफनाया गया था। तब उसका पुत्र योताम राजा बन गया। BSB BSB: And Azariah rested with his fathers and was buried near them in the City of David. And his son Jotham reigned in his place.
8 UDB यहूदा के राजा अजर्याह के लगभग अड़तीस वर्ष तक शासन करने के बाद यारोबाम का पुत्र जकर्याह इस्राएल का राजा बना। उसने सामरिया शहर में केवल छः महीने तक शासन किया। BSB BSB: In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria six months.
9 UDB उसने बहुत से काम किये जो यहोवा ने कहा था, बुरे हैं, जैसे उसके पूर्वजों ने किया था। उसने उसी प्रकार के पाप किए जो पहले नबात के पुत्र यारोबाम ने किए थे, ऐसे पाप जो इस्राएली लोगों को पाप करने के लिए प्रेरित करते थे। BSB BSB: And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done. He did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
10 UDB तब याबेश के पुत्र शल्लूम ने विद्रोह करके जकर्याह की हत्या करने की योजना बनाई। उसने इबलाम शहर में उसे मार डाला, और वह राजा बन गया। BSB BSB: Then Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah, struck him down and killed him in front of the people, and reigned in his place.

13 UDB याबेश का पुत्र शल्लूम जब राजा बना तब अमस्याह के यहूदा पर लगभग उनतालीस वर्ष तक शासन कर चुका था। परन्तु शल्लूम सामरिया में केवल एक महीने तक राज कर पाया। BSB BSB: In the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah’s reign over Judah, Shallum son of Jabesh became king, and he reigned in Samaria one full month.
14 UDB तब गादी का पुत्र मनहेम, तिर्सा शहर से सामरिया गया और शल्लूम की हत्या कर दी। तब मनहेम इस्राएल का राजा बन गया। BSB BSB: Then Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah to Samaria, struck down and killed Shallum son of Jabesh, and reigned in his place.

16 UDB उस समय मनहेम ने तिर्सा शहर को पूरी तरह से नष्ट कर दिया और तिर्सा के आसपास के क्षेत्र के सब लोगों को मार डाला। उसने ऐसा इसलिए किया क्योंकि उस शहर के लोगों ने आत्मसमर्पण करने से मना कर दिया था। उसने अपनी तलवार से वहां रहने वाली गर्भवती स्त्रीयों के पेट भी फाड़ दिये। BSB BSB: At that time Menahem, starting from Tirzah, attacked Tiphsah and everyone in its vicinity, because they would not open their gates. So he attacked Tiphsah and ripped open all the pregnant women.

18 UDB उसने बहुत से काम किये जिन्हें यहोवा ने बुरा कहा था। उसने उसी प्रकार के पाप किए जो राजा यारोबाम ने किए थे, जिन पापों ने इस्राएल के लोगों को पाप करने के लिए प्रेरित किया। उसने अपने पुरे जीवन भर पाप किये। BSB BSB: And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and throughout his reign he did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
20 UDB मेनहेम ने इस्राएल में समृद्ध पुरुषों को वह धन प्राप्त किया। उसने उन प्रत्येक से शेकेल पचास-पचास शेकेल चाँदी का योगदान देने के लिए विवश किया। तो तिग्लत्पिलेसेर ने वह पैसा लिया और अपने देश लौट गया। BSB BSB: Menahem exacted this money from each of the wealthy men of Israel—fifty shekels of silver from each man—to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria withdrew and did not remain in the land.

25 UDB तब पकहयाह के सेनापति रमल्याह के पुत्र पेकह ने पकहयाह और उसके दो सहायकों, अर्गोब और अर्ये को मारने के लिए गिलाद के क्षेत्र से पचास पुरुषों के साथ योजना बनाई। उसने सामरिया में राजा के महल में एक सशक्त स्थान पर राजा की हत्या कर दी और तब पेकह राजा बन गया। BSB BSB: Then his officer, Pekah son of Remaliah, conspired against him along with Argob, Arieh, and fifty men of Gilead. And at the citadel of the king’s palace in Samaria, Pekah struck down and killed Pekahiah and reigned in his place.

27 UDB जब राजा अजर्याह लगभग बावन वर्ष तक यहूदा पर शासन कर चुका था, तब रमल्याह का पुत्र पेकह इस्राएल का राजा बन गया। उसने सामरिया में बीस वर्ष तक शासन किया। BSB BSB: In the fifty-second year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria twenty years.

29 UDB जब पेकह राजा था, तब अश्शूर का राजा तिग्लत्पिलेसेर अपनी सेना के साथ आया और इय्योन, आबेल्वेत्माका, यानोह, केदेश और हासोर नामक नगरों तथा गिलाद और गलील, वरन् नप्ताली के सम्पूर्ण क्षेत्र पर अधिकार कर लिया। उनकी सेना ने इस्राएली लोगों को अपना देश छोड़ने और अश्शूर में रहने के लिए विवश कर दिया। BSB BSB: In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon, Abel-beth-maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, including all the land of Naphtali, and he took the people as captives to Assyria. 30 UDB तब एला के पुत्र होशे ने पेकह को मारने का षड्यंत्र रचा। और उसकी हत्या करके राजा बन गया। उस समय अमस्याह का पुत्र योताम यहूदा पर लगभग बीस वर्ष राज कर चुका था। तब होशे इस्राएल का राजा बन गया। BSB BSB: Then Hoshea son of Elah led a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah. In the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah, Hoshea attacked Pekah, killed him, and reigned in his place.

32 UDB जब पेकह लगभग दो वर्षों तक इस्राएल पर शासन कर चुका, तब उज्जियाह का पुत्र योताम ने यहूदा पर शासन करना आरंभ कर दिया। BSB BSB: In the second year of the reign of Pekah son of Remaliah over Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah became king of Judah.
33 UDB जब वह शासन करने लगा, तो वह पच्चीस वर्ष का था, और उसने सोलह वर्ष तक यरूशलेम पर शासन किया। उसकी मां सादोक की पुत्री यरूशा थी। BSB BSB: He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother’s name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok.
