11नासरत के यीशु मसीह वही हैं जिनके विषय में धर्मशास्त्र कहता है: "राजमिस्त्रियों ने जिस पत्थर को फेंक दिया था वही इमारत का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण पत्थर बन गया है।"This Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’

12केवल यीशु ही हमें बचा सकते हैं, क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने हमें दुनिया में कोई अन्य व्यक्ति नहीं दिया है, जो हमें हमारे पापों के दोष से बचा सकता है!"Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

13यहूदी अगुवों को अनुभव हुआ कि पतरस और यूहन्ना उनसे डर नहीं रहे हैं। उन्हें यह भी पता चला कि ये दोनों व्यक्ति सामान्य लोग हैं जिन्होंने विद्यालयों में पढ़ाई नहीं की थी। इसलिये अगुवे आश्चर्यचकित थे। वे जानते थे कि इन लोगों ने यीशु के साथ समय बिताया था।When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they marveled and took note that these men had been with Jesus.

14उन्होंने उस व्यक्ति को भी पतरस और यूहन्ना के साथ खड़ा देखा जो स्वस्थ हुआ था, इसलिए वे उनके विरुद्ध कुछ भी नहीं बोल पाए।And seeing the man who had been healed standing there with them, they had nothing to say in response.

15यहूदी अगुवों ने सुरक्षाकर्मियों को पतरस, यूहन्ना और उस स्वस्थ हुए व्यक्ति को सभा के कमरे से बाहर ले जाने के लिए कहा। उनके ऐसा करने के बाद, अगुवों ने पतरस और यूहन्ना के बारे में एक दूसरे से बात की।So they ordered them to leave the Sanhedrin and then conferred together.

16उन्होंने कहा, "हम इन दोनों लोगों को दण्ड देने के लिए कुछ भी नहीं कर सकते हैं! जो कोई यरूशलेम में रहता है, वह जानता है कि उन्होंने एक आश्चर्यजनक चमत्कार किया है, इसलिए हम लोगों को नहीं कह सकते कि ऐसा नहीं हुआ!“What shall we do with these men?” they asked. “It is clear to everyone living in Jerusalem that a remarkable miracle has occurred through them, and we cannot deny it.

17परन्तु, हमें अन्य लोगों को यीशु के बारे में इनकी शिक्षा सुनने से, रोकना चाहिए। अत: हमें इन लोगों को चेतावनी देनी चाहिए कि यदि वे लोगों को यीशु के बारे में बताते रहेंगे तो हम उन्हें दण्ड देंगे। जिनके बारे में वे कहते हैं कि उन्होंने उन्हें इस व्यक्ति को स्वस्थ करने की शक्ति दी है।"But to keep this message from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them not to speak to anyone in this name.”

18इसलिए यहूदी अगुवों ने सुरक्षाकर्मियों को उन दोनों प्रेरितों को कमरे में दोबारा लाने के लिए कहा। सुरक्षाकर्मियों के ऐसा करने के बाद, उन्होंने उन दोनों को बताया कि वे अब किसी से भी यीशु के बारे में बात न करें और न ही उनके बारे में सिखाएँ।Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.

19परन्तु पतरस और यूहन्ना ने कहा, "क्या परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में यह सही होगा कि हम तुम्हारी आज्ञा मानें और उनकी आज्ञा का पालन न करें? तुम ही निर्णय लो कि क्या सही है।But Peter and John replied, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to listen to you rather than God.

20लेकिन, हम तुम्हारी आज्ञा का पालन नहीं कर सकते। हम लोगों को उन कामों के बारे में बताने से नहीं रुकेंगे जिन्हें हमने यीशु को करते देखा है और जो उन्हें सिखाते हुए सुना है।"For we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

21तब यहूदी अगुवों ने फिर से पतरस और यूहन्ना को उनकी आज्ञा का उल्लंघन न करने के लिए कहा, परन्तु उन्होंने उनको दण्ड न देने का निर्णय किया, क्योंकि जो उस व्यक्ति के साथ हुआ जो चल नहीं सकता था उसके कारण यरूशलेम में सब लोग परमेश्वर की स्तुति कर रहे थे।After further threats they let them go. They could not find a way to punish them, because all the people were glorifying God for what had happened.

22वह चालीस वर्ष से अधिक आयु का था, और जिस दिन वह पैदा हुआ था उसी दिन से वह चलने में सक्षम नहीं था।For the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old.

23जब पतरस और यूहन्ना परिषद के पास से चले गए तो वे अन्य विश्वासियों के पास गए और उन्होंने उन सब को प्रधान याजकों और यहूदी प्राचीनों की बातें सुनाई।On their release, Peter and John returned to their own people and reported everything that the chief priests and elders had said to them.

26संसार के राजाओं ने परमेश्वर के शासक से युद्ध करने की तैयारी की, और शासक उनके साथ जुड़ गए है कि प्रभु परमेश्वर का और जिन्हें उन्होंने मसीह होने के लिये चुना है उनका विरोध करें।The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against His Anointed One.’

27यह सच है! हेरोदेस और पुन्तियुस पिलातुस दोनों ने और गैर-यहूदियों ने इस्राएलियों का साथ देकर, इस शहर में यीशु के विरुद्ध खड़े हुए, यीशु जिन्हें आपने मसीह होकर आपकी सेवा करने के लिये चुना।In fact, this is the very city where Herod and Pontius Pilate conspired with the Gentiles and the people of Israel against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed.

28आपने उन्हें ऐसा करने दिया है क्योंकि आपने बहुत पहले ही यह निर्णय ले लिया था।"They carried out what Your hand and will had decided beforehand would happen.

29इसलिये अब, हे प्रभु, जो वे कह रहे हैं उसे सुन कि वे हमें कैसे दण्ड देंगे! हमारी सहायता करो, जो आपकी सेवा करते हैं कि हम हर किसी को यीशु के बारे में बता सकें!And now, Lord, consider their threats, and enable Your servants to speak Your word with complete boldness,

30अपने पवित्र सेवक, यीशु के नाम से चंगाई के अद्भुत चमत्कार, चिन्ह और आश्चर्यकर्म करने के लिए अपनी ताकत का उपयोग करो!"as You stretch out Your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.”

31जब विश्वासियों ने प्रार्थना करना समाप्त कर दिया, तो वह स्थान जहाँ वे सभा कर रहे थे, हिल गया। पवित्र आत्मा ने उन सब को परमेश्वर द्वारा दिये गए वचनों को साहस के साथ सुनाने की शक्ति प्रदान की, और उन्होंने ऐसा ही किया।After they had prayed, their meeting place was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

32यीशु में विश्वास करनेवालों का समूह अपने विचारों में और कामों में, जो कुछ वे पूर्ण सहमत थे। उनमें कोई भी नहीं कहता था कि कोई वस्तु उसके अकेले की है। इसके अपेक्षा, जो कुछ भी उनके पास था उन्होंने एक दूसरे के साथ उसे साझा किया।The multitude of believers was one in heart and soul. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they owned.

33प्रेरितों ने दृढ़ता से दूसरों को बताया कि परमेश्वर ने प्रभु यीशु को फिर से जीवित कर दिया है। और परमेश्वर सब विश्वासियों की बहुत सहायता कर रहे हैं।With great power the apostles continued to give their testimony about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And abundant grace was upon them all.

34कुछ विश्वासियों ने जिनके पास भूमि या घर थे अपनी सम्पत्ति बेच दी और अपनी बेची हुई सम्पत्ति के पैसे को लाकर प्रेरितों को दे दिया। तब प्रेरित विश्वासियों में से जिस किसी को आवश्यक्ता होती थी उसको पैसे दे देते थे। इसलिए सभी विश्वासियों के जीवन की आवश्यकताएँ पूरी होती थीं।There were no needy ones among them, because those who owned lands or houses would sell their property, bring the proceeds from the sales,

36वहाँ यूसुफ नाम का एक व्यक्ति था, जो लेवी के गोत्र का था और जो साइप्रस द्वीप से आया था। प्रेरितों ने उसे बरनबास कहा; यहूदियों की भाषा में उस नाम का अर्थ है जो हमेशा दूसरों को प्रोत्साहित करता है।Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (meaning Son of Encouragement),

37उसने एक खेत को बेच दिया और पैसे लेकर प्रेरितों को दे दिए कि वे दूसरे विश्वासियों को दे सकें।sold a field he owned, brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
