1 UDB जब यिर्मयाह को महल के आँगन में अभी भी बन्द किया हुआ था, तब यहोवा ने उसे यह दूसरा सन्देश दिया: BSB BSB: While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, the word of the LORD came to him a second time:
2 UDB “मैं, जिसने पृथ्वी बनाई, जिसने इसे बनाया और उसे उसके स्थान पर रखा, यरूशलेम के लोगों से कहता हूँ: ‘मेरा नाम यहोवा है। BSB BSB: “Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it, the LORD is His name:
3 UDB मुझे पुकारो और तब मैं तुम्हें वे महान और अद्भुत बातें बताऊँगा जिन्हें तुम पहले नहीं जानते थे।’ BSB BSB: Call to Me, and I will answer and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
4 UDB इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा यही कहते हैं, ‘इस नगर के लोगों ने अपने घरों, और राजा के महल के कुछ भागों को तोड़ दिया है, जिससे कि शहर के चारों ओर दीवारों को दृढ़ करने के लिए सामग्री मिल सके, कि बाबेल के सैनिक दीवारों पर बने पुश्तों पर चढ़ने के बाद दीवारों को तोड़ने में सक्षम न हों और निवासियों को अपनी तलवारों से मार न डालें। BSB BSB: For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says about the houses of this city and the palaces of the kings of Judah that have been torn down for defense against the siege ramps and the sword:
5 UDB तुम बाबेल की सेना से युद्ध करने की आशा कर रहे हो, परन्तु होगा यह कि इस शहर के घर इस शहर के लोगों के शवों से भरे जाएँगे जिन्हें मैं मारने की अनुमति दूँगा क्योंकि मैं उनसे बहुत क्रोधित हूँ। मैंने उन सब दुष्ट कार्यों के कारण उन्हें त्याग दिया है जो उन्होंने किए हैं। BSB BSB: The Chaldeans are coming to fight and to fill those places with the corpses of the men I will strike down in My anger and in My wrath. I have hidden My face from this city because of all its wickedness.
6 UDB परन्तु, ऐसा समय आएगा जब मैं इस शहर के लोगों को स्वस्थ और बलवन्त बना दूँगा। मैं उन्हें समृद्ध और शान्ति प्राप्त करने योग्य कर दूँगा। BSB BSB: Nevertheless, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal its people and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.
7 UDB मैं यहूदा और इस्राएल के लोगों को उन देशों से वापस लाऊँगा जिनमें उन्हें निर्वासित किया गया है। मैं उन्हें अपने नगरों का पुनर्निर्माण करने में सक्षम करूँगा। BSB BSB: I will restore Judah and Israel from captivity and will rebuild them as in former times.
8 UDB उन्होंने मेरे विरुद्ध जितने भी पाप किये हैं उनके सब पापों को भूल जाऊँगा और मेरा विद्रोह करने के उनके पाप को क्षमा करूँगा। BSB BSB: And I will cleanse them from all the iniquity they have committed against Me, and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against Me.
9 UDB जब ऐसा होता है, तब संसार के सब देश आनन्दित होंगे और वे मेरी स्तुति करेंगे और मेरा सम्मान करेंगे। वे इस शहर के लिए किए गए सब अच्छे कार्यों के विषय में सुनेंगे और इसके कारण, वे मुझे सम्मान देंगे, और वे थरथराएँगे क्योंकि मैंने इस शहर के लोगों को शान्ति और समृद्धि प्रदान की है।’ BSB BSB: So this city will bring Me renown, joy, praise, and glory before all the nations of the earth, who will hear of all the good I do for it. They will tremble in awe because of all the goodness and prosperity that I will provide for it.
10 UDB मैं, यहोवा, कहता हूँ: ‘तुमने कहा है कि यह एक ऐसा देश है जहाँ अब एक भी जन या पशु नहीं हैं। परन्तु यरूशलेम और यहूदा के अन्य नगरों की सड़कों में जो अब पूरी तरह खाली हैं, BSB BSB: This is what the LORD says: In this place you say is a wasteland without man or beast, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are deserted—inhabited by neither man nor beast—there will be heard again
11 UDB एक दिन लोग फिर से आनन्दित होंगे और हँसेंगे। दूल्हा और दुल्हन फिर से आनन्द के गीत गाएँगे। और कई अन्य लोग भी आनन्द से गाएँगे जब वे उनके लिए किये गये मेरे कार्यों के कारण धन्यवाद देने के लिए मुझे भेंट चढ़ाने आएँगे। वे इस गीत को गाएँगे: “हम आपको धन्यवाद देते हैं, हे यहोवा स्वर्गदूतों की सेनाओं के प्रधान, क्योंकि आप हमारे लिए भले हैं। आप सदा के लिए अपनी वाचा को निष्ठापूर्वक पकड़े रहें।” वे गाएँगे क्योंकि मैं इस देश के लोगों को समृद्ध कर दूँगा जैसे वे पहले थे।’ BSB BSB: the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of the bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those bringing thank offerings into the house of the LORD, saying: ‘Give thanks to the LORD of Hosts, for the LORD is good; His loving devotion endures forever.’ For I will restore the land from captivity as in former times, says the LORD.
12 UDB यह भूमि अब उजाड़ हो गई है। यहाँ रहने वाले कोई भी लोग या पशु नहीं हैं। परन्तु मैं, स्वर्गदूतों की सेनाओं का प्रधान, यहोवा, यह कहता हूँ: ‘इस देश में फिर चारागाहें होंगी जहाँ चरवाहे अपनी भेड़ों की अगुवाई करेंगे BSB BSB: This is what the LORD of Hosts says: In this desolate place, without man or beast, and in all its cities, there will once more be pastures for shepherds to rest their flocks.
13 UDB चरवाहे फिर से अपनी भेड़ों को गिनेंगे, जब उनकी भेड़ें नगरों के बाहर, पश्चिमी तलहटी में, दक्षिणी यहूदा के जंगल में, जहाँ बिन्यामीन के वंशज रहते हैं, यरूशलेम के आस-पास और सबके बाहर यहूदा के सब नगरों के बाहर, पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों में चलेंगी।’ यह निश्चय ही होगा क्योंकि मैंने, यहोवा ने यह कहा है। BSB BSB: In the cities of the hill country, the foothills, and the Negev, in the land of Benjamin and the cities surrounding Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of the one who counts them, says the LORD.

15 UDB उस समय मैं एक धर्मी व्यक्ति की नियुक्ति करूँगा जो राजा दाऊद का वंशज होगा। पूरे देश में, वह वही करेगा जो भला और उचित है। BSB BSB: In those days and at that time I will cause to sprout for David a righteous Branch, and He will administer justice and righteousness in the land.
16 UDB उस समय, यहूदा के लोगों को उनके शत्रुओं से बचाया जाएगा, और यरूशलेम के लोग सुरक्षित रहेंगे। और लोग कहेंगे कि शहर का नाम होगा ‘यहोवा ही वह है जो हमारे लिए उचित करते हैं।’ BSB BSB: In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell securely, and this is the name by which it will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness.
17 UDB और मैं, यहोवा, यह भी कहता हूँ: ‘राजा दाऊद के वंशज इस्राएल के लिए सदा के लिए शासन करेंगे। BSB BSB: For this is what the LORD says: David will never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel,
18 UDB और ऐसे याजक होंगे जो लेवी के वंशज होंगे जो मेरे सामने खड़े होंगे और वेदी पर जलाए जाने वाले बलिदान चढ़ाएँगे।” BSB BSB: nor will the priests who are Levites ever fail to have a man before Me to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings, and to present sacrifices.”
19 UDB तब यहोवा ने यिर्मयाह को यह सन्देश दिया: BSB BSB: And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
20 UDB “मैं यहोवा, यही कहता हूँ: ‘तू निश्चय ही मेरी इस प्रतिज्ञा को रद्द नहीं कर सकता कि रात के बाद दिन आएगा। BSB BSB: “This is what the LORD says: If you can break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night, so that day and night cease to occupy their appointed time,
21 UDB इसी प्रकार, तू राजा दाऊद के साथ की गयी प्रतिज्ञा को रद्द नहीं कर सकता, जिसने मेरी उत्तम सेवा की थी, कि यहूदा पर शासन करने के लिए सदा ही उसके वंशज होंगे। लेवी के वंशज जो याजक हैं और मेरी सेवा करते हैं, उनके साथ भी मेरी वाचा के लिए भी यह सच है। BSB BSB: then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant and with My ministers the Levites who are priests, so that David will not have a son to reign on his throne.
22 UDB कोई भी आकाश में सितारों की गिनती नहीं कर सकता, और कोई भी समुद्र के किनारे रेत के किनकों को गिन नहीं सकता। इसी प्रकार, मैं दाऊद के वंशजों और लेवी के वंशजों की संख्या को बहुत कर दूँगा जो मेरे लिए कार्य करेंगे।” BSB BSB: As the hosts of heaven cannot be counted and as the sand on the seashore cannot be measured, so too will I multiply the descendants of My servant David and the Levites who minister before Me.”
23 UDB यहोवा ने मुझे एक और सन्देश दिया। उन्होंने कहा, BSB BSB: Moreover, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
24 UDB “निश्चय ही तू जानता है कि कुछ लोग कह रहे हैं, ‘यहोवा ने दो समूहों, यहूदा के लोगों और इस्राएल के लोगों को चुना, और बाद में उन्हें त्याग दिया।’ जो लोग यह कह रहे हैं वे मेरे लोगों को तुच्छ मान रहे हैं; वे कह रहे हैं कि इस्राएल अब एक राष्ट्र माना जाने योग्य नहीं है। BSB BSB: “Have you not noticed what these people are saying: ‘The LORD has rejected the two families He had chosen’? So they despise My people and no longer regard them as a nation.
26 UDB इसी प्रकार, मैं कभी दाऊद के वंशज या याकूब के अन्य वंशजों को त्याग नहीं दूँगा, और मैं सदा दाऊद के वंशजों को अब्राहम, इसहाक और याकूब के वंशजों पर सदा के लिए शासन करने की अनुमति दूँगा। मैं उन्हें अपने देश में वापस लाऊँगा, और मैं उन पर दया करूँगा।’” BSB BSB: then I would also reject the descendants of Jacob and of My servant David, so as not to take from his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will restore them from captivity and will have compassion on them.”
