Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the very end.
2. 2SARI za večerom je đavao već bio ubacio u srce Judi Šimuna Iškariotskoga da ga izda.BSBBSB: The evening meal was underway, and the devil had already put into the heart of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.
3. 3SARA Isus je znao da mu je Otac sve predao u ruke i da je od Boga izišao te da k Bogu ide paBSBBSB: Jesus knew that the Father had delivered all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was returning to God.
4. 4SARusta od večere, odloži haljine, uze ubrus i opasa se.BSBBSB: So He got up from the supper, laid aside His outer garments, and wrapped a towel around His waist.
5. 5SARNalije zatim vodu u praonik i počne učenicima prati noge i otirati ih ubrusom kojim je bio opasan.BSBBSB: After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and dry them with the towel that was around Him.
6. 6SARDođe tako do Šimuna Petra. A on će mu: “Gospodine! Zar ti da meni pereš noge?”BSBBSB: He came to Simon Peter, who asked Him, “Lord, are You going to wash my feet?”
7. 7SAROdgovori mu Isus: “Što ja činim, ti sada ne znaš, ali shvatit ćeš poslije.”BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
8. 8SARReče mu Petar: “Nećeš mi prati nogu nikada!” Isus mu odvrati: “Ako te ne operem, nećeš imati dijela sa mnom.”BSBBSB: “Never shall You wash my feet!” Peter told Him. Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with Me.”
9. 9SARNato će mu Šimun Petar: “Gospodine, onda ne samo noge, nego i ruke i glavu!”BSBBSB: “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not only my feet, but my hands and my head as well!”
10. 10SARKaže mu Isus: “Tko je okupan, ne treba drugo da opere nego noge - i sav je čist! I vi ste čisti, ali ne svi!”BSBBSB: Jesus told him, “Whoever has already bathed needs only to wash his feet, and he will be completely clean. And you are clean, though not all of you.”
11. 11SARJer znao je tko će ga izdati. Stoga je i rekao: “Niste svi čisti.”BSBBSB: For He knew who would betray Him. That is why He said, “Not all of you are clean.”
12. 12SARKad im dakle opra noge, uze svoje haljine, opet sjede i reče im: “Razumijete li što sam vam učinio?BSBBSB: When Jesus had washed their feet and put on His outer garments, He reclined with them again and asked, “Do you know what I have done for you?
13. 13SARVi me zovete Učiteljem i Gospodinom. Pravo velite jer to i jesam!BSBBSB: You call Me Teacher and Lord, and rightly so, because I am.
14. 14SARAko dakle ja - Gospodin i Učitelj - vama oprah noge, treba da i vi jedni drugima perete noge.BSBBSB: So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
15. 15SARPrimjer sam vam dao da i vi činite kao što ja vama učinih.”BSBBSB: I have set you an example so that you should do as I have done for you.
16. 16SARZaista, zaista, kažem vam: nije sluga veći od gospodara niti poslanik od onoga koji ga posla.BSBBSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
17. 17SARAko to znate, blago vama budete li tako i činili!”BSBBSB: If you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
18. 18SAR“Ne govorim o svima vama! Ja znam koje izabrah! Ali - neka se ispuni Pismo: Koji blaguje kruh moj, petu na me podiže.”BSBBSB: I am not speaking about all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But this is to fulfill the Scripture: ‘The one who shares My bread has lifted up his heel against Me.’
19. 19SAR“Već vam sada kažem, prije negoli se dogodi, da kad se dogodi vjerujete da Ja jesam.BSBBSB: I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it comes to pass, you will believe that I am He.
20. 20SARZaista, zaista, kažem vam: Tko primi onoga kojega ja šaljem, mene prima. A tko mene primi, prima onoga koji je mene poslao.”BSBBSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever receives the one I send receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives the One who sent Me.”
21. 21SARRekavši to, potresen u duhu Isus posvjedoči: “Zaista, zaista, kažem vam: jedan će me od vas izdati!”BSBBSB: After Jesus had said this, He became troubled in spirit and testified, “Truly, truly, I tell you, one of you will betray Me.”
22. 22SARUčenici se zgledahu među sobom u nedoumici o kome to govori.BSBBSB: The disciples looked at one another, perplexed as to which of them He meant.
23. 23SARA jedan od njegovih učenika - onaj kojega je Isus ljubio - bijaše za stolom Isusu do krila.BSBBSB: One of His disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was reclining at His side.
24. 24SARŠimun Petar dade mu znak i reče: “Pitaj tko je taj o kome govori.”BSBBSB: So Simon Peter motioned to him to ask Jesus which one He was talking about.
25. 25SAROvaj se privine Isusu uz prsa i upita: “Gospodine, tko je taj?”BSBBSB: Leaning back against Jesus, he asked, “Lord, who is it?”
26. 26SARIsus odgovori: “Onaj je kome ja dadnem umočen zalogaj.”BSBBSB: Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I give this morsel after I have dipped it.” Then He dipped the morsel and gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot.
27. 27SARTada umoči zalogaj, uze ga i dade Judi Šimuna Iškariotskoga. Nakon zalogaja uđe u nj Sotona. Nato mu Isus reče: “Što činiš, učini brzo!”BSBBSB: And when Judas had taken the morsel, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to Judas, “What you are about to do, do quickly.”
28. 28SARNijedan od sustolnika nije razumio zašto mu je to rekao.BSBBSB: But no one at the table knew why Jesus had said this to him.
29. 29SARBudući da je Juda imao kesu, neki su mislili da mu je Isus rekao: “Kupi što nam treba za blagdan!” - ili neka poda nešto siromasima.BSBBSB: Since Judas kept the money bag, some thought that Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the feast, or to give something to the poor.
30. 30SAROn dakle uzme zalogaj i odmah iziđe. A bijaše noć.BSBBSB: As soon as he had received the morsel, Judas went out into the night.
31. 31SARPošto Juda iziđe, reče Isus: “Sada je proslavljen Sin Čovječji i Bog se proslavio u njemu!BSBBSB: When Judas had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him.
32. 32SARAko se Bog proslavio u njemu, i njega će Bog proslaviti u sebi, i uskoro će ga proslaviti!BSBBSB: If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify the Son in Himself—and will glorify Him at once.
33. 33SARDječice, još sam malo s vama. Tražit ćete me, ali kao što rekoh Židovima, kažem sada i vama: kamo ja odlazim, vi ne možete doći.BSBBSB: Little children, I am with you only a little while longer. You will look for Me, and as I said to the Jews, so now I say to you: ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’
34. 34SARZapovijed vam novu dajem: ljubite jedni druge; kao što sam ja ljubio vas tako i vi ljubite jedni druge.BSBBSB: A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another.
35. 35SARPo ovom će svi znati da ste moji učenici: ako budete imali ljubavi jedni za druge.”BSBBSB: By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”
36. 36SARKaže mu Šimun Petar: “Gospodine, kamo to odlaziš?” Isus mu odgovori: “Kamo ja odlazim, ti zasad ne možeš poći za mnom. No poći ćeš poslije.”BSBBSB: “Lord, where are You going?” Simon Peter asked. Jesus answered, “Where I am going, you cannot follow Me now, but you will follow later.”
37. 37SARNato će mu Petar: “Gospodine, a zašto sada ne bih mogao poći za tobom? Život ću svoj položiti za tebe!”BSBBSB: “Lord,” said Peter, “why can’t I follow You now? I will lay down my life for You.”
38. 38SAROdgovori Isus: “Život ćeš svoj položiti za mene? Zaista, zaista, kažem ti: Pijetao neće zapjevati dok me triput ne zatajiš.”BSBBSB: “Will you lay down your life for Me?” Jesus replied. “Truly, truly, I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.
