PBDS Telehlah kasih ba mao'anlah sidi-sidi karunio-karunio rohani, tarutamo supayo kau biso ba nubuat. BSB BSB: Earnestly pursue love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.
PBDS Sabab, sape nang bakato doopm bahaso jioh, ino' ba kato ka manusio, tapi kapado Allah; karamo ino ado urokng nang ngarati, tapi io ngatootn hal-hal nang rahasio doopm roh. BSB BSB: For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries in the Spirit.
PBDS Tapi, urokng nang ba nubuat bakato ka manusio sak mambangun, nasehat, ba pangiburotn. BSB BSB: But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, encouragement, and comfort.
PBDS Urokng-urokng nang bakato doopm bahaso jioh mambangun diri'e sorokng, tapi urokng nang ba nubuat mambangun jamaat. BSB BSB: The one who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but the one who prophesies edifies the church.
PBDS Aku ba arap kau samuo bakato doopm bahaso-bahaso jioh, tapi labih agi' supayo kau ba nubuat. Urokng nang ba nubuat labih kayo' daripado urokng nang bakato doopm bahaso jioh, kacuali kalo' io ugo' nang ngaratiotn io jadi jamaat biso narimo' panaguhotn. BSB BSB: I wish that all of you could speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the church may be edified.
PBDS Kamaru'-kamaru', kalo' aku atokng ka kau lalu bakato doopm bahaso-bahaso roh, ameo untunge kau, kacuali kalo' aku bakato ka kau ba panyatootn, pangatahuan, nubuat, atopun pangajaran? BSB BSB: Now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?
PBDS Bahkan alat-alat nang ino' banyawo, angayo soleng ato kacapi nang ngauarot bunyi, kalo ino' ngauarot pabedootn doopm bunyie, jamae urokng biso nahui' alat dameo nang gi' dimainan, soleng ato ge' kacapi? BSB BSB: Even in the case of lifeless instruments, such as the flute or harp, how will anyone recognize the tune they are playing unless the notes are distinct?
PBDS Ato, kalo' sarompet ngauarotn suaro nang ino' jalas, sape bo nang mao' nyiapotn diri' mao' baparango'? BSB BSB: Again, if the trumpet sounds a muffled call, who will prepare for battle?
PBDS Jakoo ugo' kau. kalo' ba jiohngu, kau ngatootn kato-kato nang ino' biso di ngarati, jamae urokng nahuio' dameo nang dingatootn? Saolah-olah kau bakato ka angin. BSB BSB: So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.
PBDS Mungkin, manyak macam bahaso ka dunio nyian lalu ino' sete' pun amapat ka io nang ino' baarti. BSB BSB: Assuredly, there are many different languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning.
PBDS Tapi, kalo' aku ino' nahui' arti bahaso koo, aku dah pasti jadi urokng asing kalo' io nang bakato, lalu urokng nang bakato koo jadi urokng asing bagiku. BSB BSB: If, then, I do not know the meaning of someone’s language, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and he is a foreigner to me.
PBDS Jakoo ugo' kau, karamo kau sungguh- sungguh barusaha sa' karunia-karunia rohani, barusahalah supayo bakalimpohotn sa' manguno' jamaat. BSB BSB: It is the same with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, strive to excel in gifts that build up the church.
PBDS Karamo koo, hendaklah urokng nang bakato doopm bahaso jioh bado'a supayo io biso ngaratiotn io. BSB BSB: Therefore, the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret.
PBDS Sabab, kalo aku bado'a doopm bahaso jioh, rohku bado'a, tapi pikiranku ino' babuoh. BSB BSB: For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
PBDS Jadi, dameo nang arus ku karajaan? Aku pasti bado'a ba rohku lalu aku ugo' pasti bado'a ba pikiranku. Aku pasti barenyoh ba rohku lalu aku ugo' pasti barenyoh ba pikiran ku. BSB BSB: What then shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.
PBDS Kalo' kau kahe mangucap syukur ba rohngu, jamae ba urokng, nang ado doopm kaadaan ino ba karunio koo, biso bakato, "Amin," atas ucapotn syukurngu koo karamo io ino' ngarati dameo nang kau ngatootn? BSB BSB: Otherwise, if you speak a blessing in spirit, how can someone who is uninstructed say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying?
PBDS Sakaipun kau mangucap syukur paling baik, tapi urokng lain ino' dibangun. BSB BSB: You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other one is not edified.
PBDS Aku basyukur ka Allah bahawo aku bakato doopm bahaso-bahaso jioh ngalabihi' kau samuae. BSB BSB: I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.
PBDS Tapi, doopm jamaat, aku labih baik bakato limo kato ba pikiranku supayo aku ugo' biso ngajar urokng lain, dari pado sapuluh ribu kato doopm bahaso jioh. BSB BSB: But in the church, I would rather speak five coherent words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.
PBDS Kamaru'-kamaru', ame jaji kamudo'-kamudo' doopm pamikiranngu. Jajilah kamudo'-kamudo' doopm kajahatotn, tapi doopm pamikiranngu jajilah dewasa! BSB BSB: Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature.
PBDS Angayo tatulis doopm Hukum Taurat, Karamo urokng-urokng nang ba bahaso asing ba moot urokng-urokng asing, Aku pasti ba kato ka bangso nyian, tapi ne'ido' pasti ino' nangarotn Aku, Firman Tuhan."Yesaya28:11-12 BSB BSB: It is written in the Law: “By strange tongues and foreign lips I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to Me, says the Lord.”
BSB BSB: Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers.
PBDS Kalo' saluruh jamaat bakomo' sabayo doopm sege' tampat, lalu samuo bakato ba bahaso-bahaso jioh, lalu ado urokng-urokng nang ino' ngarati atopun urokng-urokng ino' picayo taamo' ino' ge' ne'ido' pasti ngatootn bahawo kau dah gilo? BSB BSB: So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who are uninstructed or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds?
PBDS Tapi, kalo' samuae banubuat, ako'koo ado urokng nang ino' picayo' atopun urokng nang ino' ngarati taamo', io pasti disadarotn samuae ba dinilai samuae. BSB BSB: But if an unbeliever or uninstructed person comes in while everyone is prophesying, he will be convicted and called to account by all,
PBDS Rahasio doopm atie pasti nyato, io pasti tasongkop, lalu nyamboh Allah, ngako' bahawo sasungguhe Allah ado ka antarangu. BSB BSB: and the secrets of his heart will be made known. So he will fall facedown and worship God, proclaiming, “God is truly among you!”
PBDS Jadi, salanjute jamae, Kamaru'- kamaru'? Waktu kau bakomo', masing-masing ado ba mazmur, pangajaran, panyatootn, bahaso jioh, atopun sabuoh panujuman. Biarlah samuo nyian dikarajaan sa' mambangun. BSB BSB: What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be done to build up the church.
PBDS Kalo' ado nang ba bahaso jioh, no' meolah kahe duo atopun paling manyak talu urokng, lalu masing-masing ba gante'-gante', lalu arus ado ba urokng lain nang ngaratiotn io. BSB BSB: If anyone speaks in a tongue, two, or at most three, should speak in turn, and someone must interpret.
PBDS Tapi, kalo' ino' ado urokng nang ngaratiotn io, io arus diopm ka doopm jamaat lalu no'meolah io bakato kadiri'e sorokng ba ka Allah. BSB BSB: But if there is no interpreter, he should remain silent in the church and speak only to himself and God.
PBDS No'meolah kahe duo ato talu nabi nang bakato lalu nang lain ba pikir-pikir doho'. BSB BSB: Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said.
PBDS Tapi, kalo' panyatootn dingamuat sa' urokng lain nang duduk dikoo, urokng nang pamulo arus diopm BSB BSB: And if a revelation comes to someone who is seated, the first speaker should stop.
PBDS Sabab, kito' samuoe biso banubuat seko'-seko' supayo samuoe biso balajar lalu samuoe biso dikoatotn. BSB BSB: For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.
PBDS Roh-roh para nabi tunduk ka para nabi. BSB BSB: The spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.
PBDS Sabab, Allah buke'lah Allah ampat ka kacootn, malainkan damai sajahtaro, sabayo angayo doopm samuo jamaat urokng-urokng kudus. BSB BSB: For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace—as in all the churches of the saints.
PBDS Kalo' ado nang mao' ne'ido' palajari, no' meolah ne'ido' batanyo' ka aki-e karumoh karamo adolah hal nang nyupatni' ka ambini ba katoo' doopm jamaat. BSB BSB: If they wish to inquire about something, they are to ask their own husbands at home; for it is dishonorable for a woman to speak in the church.
PBDS Memange firman Allah baasal ampat ka kau? Atopun, memang kahe ka kau ajo' firman kok dinyampeotn? BSB BSB: Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only ones it has reached?
PBDS Kalo ado nang bafikir bahawo io koo nabiatopun urokng nang rohani, no'meolah io nganali' bahawo hal-hal nang ku nulis ka kau adolah parentoh Tuhan. BSB BSB: If anyone considers himself a prophet or spiritual person, let him acknowledge that what I am writing you is the Lord’s command.
PBDS Kalo ado urokng nang ino' nganali' nyian, io ino' dikanal. BSB BSB: But if anyone ignores this, he himself will be ignored.
PBDS Jadi, Kamaru'-kamaru'ku, usahakanlah sidi-sidi sa' banubuat, lalu ame diberai' urokng bakato doopm bahaso-bahaso jioh. BSB BSB: So, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
PBDS Tapi, samuae arus dikarajaan ngan sopan ba taatur. BSB BSB: But everything must be done in a proper and orderly manner.
