1IL Signore parlò ancora a Mosè e ad Aaronne, dicendo:Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

2Levate la somma de' figliuoli di Chehat, d'infra i figliuoli di Levi, per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne;“Take a census of the Kohathites among the Levites by their clans and families,

3dall'età di trent'anni in su, fino a cinquanta; cioè: tutti quelli che possono entrare in ufficio, per fare l'opera nel Tabernacolo della convenenza.men from thirty to fifty years old—everyone who is qualified to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

4Questo è il servizio de' figliuoli di Chehat, nel Tabernacolo della convenenza, nelle cose santissime.This service of the Kohathites at the Tent of Meeting regards the most holy things.

5Quando il campo si moverà, vengano Aaronne ed i suoi figliuoli, e pongan giù la Cortina che si tende davanti all'Arca, e copre l'Arca della Testimonianza.Whenever the camp sets out, Aaron and his sons are to go in, take down the veil of the curtain, and cover the ark of the Testimony with it.

6Poi mettanvi sopra una coverta di pelli di tasso, e stendano disopra un drappo tutto di violato; e mettano le stanghe all'Arca.They are to place over this a covering of fine leather, spread a solid blue cloth over it, and insert its poles.

7Poi stendano sopra la Tavola di presenza un drappo di violato; e mettano sopra essa i piattelli, e le scodelle, e le coppe, e i nappi da fare gli spargimenti; sia parimente sopra essa il pane continuo.Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and place the plates and cups on it, along with the bowls and pitchers for the drink offering. The regular bread offering is to remain on it.

8E stendano sopra quelle cose un drappo di scarlatto, e coprano quello con una coverta di pelli di tasso; poi mettano le stanghe alla Tavola.And they shall spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover them with fine leather, and insert the poles.

9Poi prendano un drappo di violato, e copranne il Candelliere della lumiera, e le sue lampane, e i suoi smoccalatoi, e i suoi catinelli, e tutti i vaselli dell'olio di esso, co' quali si fanno i suoi servigi.They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand used for light, together with its lamps, wick trimmers, and trays, as well as the jars of oil with which to supply it.

10Poi mettano il Candelliere, con tutti i suoi strumenti, in una coverta di pelli di tasso; e mettanlo sopra un par di stanghe.Then they shall wrap it and all its utensils inside a covering of fine leather and put it on the carrying frame.

11Poi stendano un drappo di violato sopra l'Altare d'oro; e copranlo con una coverta di pelli di tasso; poi mettano le stanghe all'Altare.Over the gold altar they are to spread a blue cloth, cover it with fine leather, and insert the poles.

12Poi prendano tutti gli arredi del servigio, co' quali si fa il servigio nel Santuario, e mettanli dentro un drappo di violato, e copranli con una coverta di pelli di tasso; e mettanli sopra un par di stanghe.They are to take all the utensils for serving in the sanctuary, place them in a blue cloth, cover them with fine leather, and put them on the carrying frame.

13Poi tolgano le ceneri dall'Altare, e stendano sopra esso un drappo di scarlatto.Then they shall remove the ashes from the bronze altar, spread a purple cloth over it,

14E mettano sopra esso tutti i suoi strumenti, co' quali si fa il servigio sopra esso, le cazze, le forcelle, le palette, i bacini, e tutti gli altri strumenti dell'Altare; e stendanvi sopra una coverta di pelli di tasso; poi mettano le stanghe all'Altare.and place on it all the vessels used to serve there: the firepans, meat forks, shovels, and sprinkling bowls—all the equipment of the altar. They are to spread over it a covering of fine leather and insert the poles.

15E, dopo che Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli avranno finito di coprire il Santuario, e tutti gli arredi di esso, quando il campo si moverà; vengano i figliuoli di Chehat, per portar quelle cose; e non tocchino il Santuario, che non muoiano. Queste son le cose che i figliuoli di Chehat devono portare, del Tabernacolo della convenenza.When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy objects and all their equipment, as soon as the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites shall come and do the carrying. But they must not touch the holy objects, or they will die. These are the transportation duties of the Kohathites regarding the Tent of Meeting.

16E abbia Eleazaro, figliuolo del Sacerdote Aaronne, il carico dell'olio della lumiera, e del profumo aromatico, e dell'offerta continua, e dell'olio dell'Unzione; oltre alla sopraintendenza sopra tutto il Tabernacolo, e tutto ciò ch'è in esso, per lo Santuario, e per li suoi arredi.Eleazar son of Aaron the priest shall oversee the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the daily grain offering, and the anointing oil. He has oversight of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including the holy objects and their utensils.”

17Poi il Signore parlò a Mosè e ad Aaronne, dicendo:Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

18Non fate sì che la tribù delle famiglie de' Chehatiti sia sterminata d'infra i Leviti.“Do not allow the Kohathite tribal clans to be cut off from among the Levites.

19Anzi fate loro questo, acciocchè vivano, e non muoiano, quando si accosteranno alle cose santissime: Vengano Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli, e disponganli ciascuno al suo servigio, e a ciò ch'egli ha da portare.In order that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go in and assign each man his task and what he is to carry.

20Ma non vengano per riguardare, quando si copriranno le cose sante, che non muoiano.But the Kohathites are not to go in and look at the holy objects, even for a moment, or they will die.”

21Il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:And the LORD said to Moses,

22Leva parimente la somma dei figliuoli di Gherson, per le lor famiglie paterne e nazioni.“Take a census of the Gershonites as well, by their families and clans,

23Annoverali, dall'età di trent'anni in su, fino a cinquanta, cioè: tutti quelli che possono entrare in esercizio di ufficio, per servire nel Tabernacolo della convenenza.from thirty to fifty years old, counting everyone who comes to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

24Questo è il servigio delle famiglie dei Ghersoniti, in ministrare e in portare:This is the service of the Gershonite clans regarding work and transport:

25Portino i teli della Tenda, e il Tabernacolo della convenenza; la sua Coverta, e la Coverta di pelli di tasso che è disopra, e il Tappeto dell'entrata del Tabernacolo della convenenza;They are to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting with the covering of fine leather over it, the curtains for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,

26e le cortine del Cortile, e il Tappeto dell'entrata della porta del Cortile, il quale è intorno al Tabernacolo e all'Altare; e le corde di quelle, e tutti gli arredi per lor servigio. E servano essi in tutto ciò che si deve fare intorno a quelle cose.the curtains of the courtyard, and the curtains for the entrance at the gate of the courtyard that surrounds the tabernacle and altar, along with their ropes and all the equipment for their service. The Gershonites will do all that needs to be done with these items.

27Tutto il servigio de' figliuoli di Gherson, in tutto ciò che devono portare, e in tutti i servigi che devono fare, sia secondo l'ordine di Aaronne e de' suoi figliuoli; e voi darete loro il carico di tutto ciò che dovranno portare.All the service of the Gershonites—all their transport duties and other work—is to be done at the direction of Aaron and his sons; you are to assign to them all that they are responsible to carry.

28Questo è il servigio delle famiglie de' figliuoli di Gherson, nel Tabernacolo della convenenza; e la fazion loro sarà sotto la sopraintendenza d'Itamar, figliuolo del Sacerdote Aaronne.This is the service of the Gershonite clans at the Tent of Meeting, and their duties shall be under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.

29Annovera eziandio i figliuoli di Merari, per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne.As for the sons of Merari, you are to number them by their clans and families,

30Annoverali, dall'età di trenta anni in su, fino a cinquanta, cioè: tutti quelli che possono entrare nel servigio del Tabernacolo della convenenza.from thirty to fifty years old, counting everyone who comes to serve in the work of the Tent of Meeting.

31E questo sia ciò che devono portare per lor fazione, insieme con tutto il servigio che dovranno fare nel Tabernacolo della convenenza, cioè: le assi del Tabernacolo, e le sue sbarre e le sue colonne, e i suoi piedistalli.This is the duty for all their service at the Tent of Meeting: to carry the frames of the tabernacle with its crossbars, posts, and bases,

32E le colonne del Cortile d'intorno, e i lor piedistalli, e i lor piuoli, e le lor corde, insieme con tutti i loro arredi, per tutti i lor servigi; e consegnate loro per nome gli arredi che dovranno portare per lor fazione.and the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, and ropes, including all their equipment and everything related to their use. You shall assign by name the items that they are responsible to carry.

33Questo è il servigio delle famiglie de' figliuoli di Merari; oltre a tutto il servigio che hanno da fare nel Tabernacolo della convenenza, sotto la sopraintendenza di Itamar, figliuolo del Sacerdote Aaronne.This is the service of the Merarite clans according to all their work at the Tent of Meeting, under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.”

34Mosè adunque, ed Aaronne, e i principali della raunanza, annoverarono i figliuoli di Chehat, per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne;So Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of the congregation numbered the Kohathites by their clans and families,

35dall'età di trent'anni in su, fino a cinquanta, cioè: tutti quelli che potevano entrare in ufficio, per servire nel Tabernacolo della convenenza.everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

36E gli annoverati d'infra loro, distinti per le lor nazioni, furono duemila settecencinquanta.And those numbered by their clans totaled 2,750.

37Questi sono gli annoverati delle nazioni de' Chehatiti; che erano tutti quelli che servivano nel Tabernacolo della convenenza, i quali Mosè ed Aaronne annoverarono, per comandamento del Signore, dato per man di Mosè.These were counted from the Kohathite clans, everyone who could serve at the Tent of Meeting. Moses and Aaron numbered them according to the command of the LORD through Moses.

38E gli annoverati d'infra i figliuoli di Gherson, distinti per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne;Then the Gershonites were numbered by their clans and families,

39dall'età di trent'anni in su, fino a cinquanta; ch'erano tutti quelli che potevano entrare in ufficio, per servire nel Tabernacolo della convenenza;everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

40gli annoverati, dico, d'infra loro, distinti per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne, furono duemila seicentrenta.And those numbered by their clans and families totaled 2,630.

41Questi sono gli annoverati delle nazioni de' figliuoli di Gherson; ch'erano tutti quelli che servivano nel Tabernacolo della convenenza; i quali Mosè ed Aaronne annoverarono, per comandamento del Signore.These were counted from the Gershonite clans who served at the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted at the LORD’s command.

42E gli annoverati delle nazioni de' figliuoli di Merari, distinti per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne;And the Merarites were numbered by their clans and families,

43dall'età di trent'anni in su, fino a cinquanta, cioè: tutti quelli che potevano entrare in ufficio, per servire nel Tabernacolo della convenenza;everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

44gli annoverati, dico, d'infra loro, distinti per le lor nazioni, furono tremila dugento.The men registered by their clans numbered 3,200.

45Questi sono gli annoverati delle nazioni de' figliuoli di Merari; i quali Mosè ed Aaronne annoverarono, per comandamento del Signore, dato per man di Mosè.These were counted from the Merarite clans, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the LORD’s command through Moses.

46Tutti gli annoverati i quali Mosè, ed Aaronne, e i principali d'Israele, annoverarono, d'infra i Leviti, distinti per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne;So Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of Israel numbered by their clans and families all the Levites

47dall'età di trent'anni in su, fino a cinquanta, cioè: tutti quelli che potevano entrare in servigio, così per servire, come per portare, nel Tabernacolo della convenenza;from thirty to fifty years old who came to do the work of serving and carrying the Tent of Meeting.

48gli annoverati, dico, d'infra loro, furono ottomila cinquecentottanta.And the number of men was 8,580.

49Essi gli annoverarono per comandamento del Signore, dato per man di Mosè, ciascuno secondo che dovea servire o portare; e gli annoverati da loro furono quelli che il Signore avea comandati a Mosè.At the LORD’s command through Moses they were numbered, and each one was assigned his work and burden, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
