13. 11JPSAnd He said: 'Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?'BSBBSB: “Who told you that you were naked?” asked the LORD God. “Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”

15. 13JPSAnd the LORD God said unto the woman: 'What is this thou hast done?' And the woman said: 'The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.'BSBBSB: Then the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” “The serpent deceived me,” she replied, “and I ate.”

16. The Fate of the Serpent

Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
21. 17JPSAnd unto Adam He said: 'Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying: Thou shalt not eat of it; cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.BSBBSB: And to Adam He said: “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat, cursed is the ground because of you; through toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
22. 18JPSThorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field.BSBBSB: Both thorns and thistles it will yield for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.

And now, lest he reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever...”
28. 23JPSTherefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.BSBBSB: Therefore the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
