1ಯೆಹೂದನ ಸಂತಾನದವರು: ಪೆರೆಚ್, ಹೆಚ್ರೋನ್, ಕರ್ಮೀ, ಹೂರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶೋಬಾಲ್.The descendants of Judah: Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, and Shobal.

6ಅಹುಜ್ಜಾಮ್, ಹೇಫೆರ್ ತೇಮಾನ್ಯರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅಹಷ್ಟಾರ್ಯರೂ ಎಂಬುವವರು ನಾರಳ ಸಂತಾನದವರು.Naarah bore to him Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari. These were the descendants of Naarah.

7ಹೆಲಾಹಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಚೆರೆತ್ ಇಚ್ಹಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎತ್ನಾನ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು.The sons of Helah were Zereth, Zohar, Ethnan,

8ಕೋಚನಿಂದ ಅನೂಬ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಚೊಬೇಬ್ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದರು. ಅಹರ‍್ಹೇಲನು ಹಾರುಮನ ಮಗನು. ಕೋಚನು ಇವರ ವಂಶದ ಮೂಲ ಪುರುಷ.and Koz, who was the father of Anub and Zobebah and of the clans of Aharhel son of Harum.

9ಯಾಬೇಚನು ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಇವನನ್ನು ಬಹು ವೇದನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೆತ್ತೆನೆಂದು ಇವನ ತಾಯಿ ಇವನಿಗೆ ಯಾಬೇಚನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು.Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.”

10ಯಾಬೇಚನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ, <<ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕೃಪಾಹಸ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿ ಯಾವ ವೇದನೆಯೂ ಉಂಟಾಗದಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಬಾರದೇ?>> ಎಂದು ಮೊರೆಯಿಡಲು ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಮೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಲಾಲಿಸಿದನು.And Jabez called out to the God of Israel, “If only You would bless me and enlarge my territory! May Your hand be with me and keep me from harm, so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted the request of Jabez.

11ಶೂಹನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಕೆಲೂಬನು ಮೆಹೀರನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು. ಮೆಹೀರನು ಎಷ್ಟೋನನ ತಂದೆ.Chelub the brother of Shuhah was the father of Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.

12ಎಷ್ಟೋನನಿಂದ ಬೇತ್ರಾಫ, ಪಾಸೇಹ, ತೆಹಿನ್ನ ಎಂಬ ಮೂರು ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿದ್ದರು. ಇವರು ರೇಕಾಹ್ಯರು. ತೆಹಿನ್ನನು ನಾಹಷ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷನು.Eshton was the father of Beth-rapha, of Paseah, and of Tehinnah the father of Ir-nahash. These were the men of Recah.

13ಕೆನಜನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಒತ್ನೀಯೇಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸೆರಾಯ ಎಂಬುವವರು. ಒತ್ನೀಯೇಲನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹತತ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮೆಯೋನೋತೈ.The sons of Kenaz: Othniel and Seraiah. The sons of Othniel: Hathath and Meonothai.

14ಮೆಯೋನೊತೈಯು ಒಫ್ರಾಹನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು. ಸೆರಾಯನು ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಗಳಾದ ಗೇಹರಾಷೀಮ್ಯರ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.Meonothai was the father of Ophrah, and Seraiah was the father of Joab, the father of those living in Ge-harashim, which was given this name because its people were craftsmen.

15ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ಈರು, ಏಲಹ್ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಮ್. ಏಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಕೆನಜ್‌.The sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam. The son of Elah: Kenaz.

16ಯೆಹಲ್ಲೆಲೇಲನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಜೀಫ್, ಜೀಫಾ, ತೀರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸರೇಲ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು.The sons of Jehallelel: Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.

17ಎಜ್ರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಯೆತೆರ್, ಮೆರೆದ್, ಏಫೆರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಯಾಲೋನ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು. ಮೆರೆದನು ಫರೋಹನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಬಿತ್ಯೆಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಈಕೆಯು ಅವನಿಂದ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಿರ್ಯಾಮ್, ಶಮ್ಮೈ, ಎಷ್ಟೆಮೋವದವರ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷನಾದ ಇಷ್ಬಹ ಇವರನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು.The sons of Ezrah: Jether, Mered, Epher, and Jalon. And Mered’s wife Bithiah gave birth to Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.

Mered also took a Judean wife, who gave birth to Jered the father of Gedor, Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah.

19ನಹಮನ ತಂಗಿಯೂ, ಹೋದೀಯನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಗರ್ಮ್ಯದ ಕೆಯೀಲದವರ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷನಾದನು, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಎಷ್ಟೆಮೋವದವರ ಮಾಕಾತ್ಯ ಸಂತಾನದ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷನಾದನು.The sons of Hodiah’s wife, the sister of Naham, were the fathers of Keilah the Garmite and of Eshtemoa the Maacathite.

20ಶೀಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಅಮ್ನೋನ್, ರಿನ್ನ, ಬೆನ್ಹಾನಾನ್ ಮತ್ತು ತೀಲೋನ್. ಇಷ್ಷೀಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಜೋಹೇತ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆನ್ಜೊಹೇತ್.The sons of Shimon: Amnon, Rinnah, Ben-hanan, and Tilon. The descendants of Ishi: Zoheth and Ben-zoheth.

21ಯೆಹೂದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೇಲಹನ ಸಂತಾನದವರು: ಲೇಕಾಹ್ಯರ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷನಾದ ಏರ್, ಮರೇಷದವರ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷನಾದ ಲದ್ದ, ಬೇತಷ್ಬೇಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೇಯಿಗಾರರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳವರು,The sons of Shelah son of Judah: Er the father of Lecah, Laadah the father of Mareshah and the clans of the linen workers at Beth-ashbea,

22ಯೊಕೀಮನು ಕೋಜೇಬದವರು ಮೋವಾಬ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರೆತನ ನಡಿಸಿ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದ ಯೋವಾಷ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರಾಫ್ ಇವರೇ. (ಇವು ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು.)Jokim, the men of Cozeba, and Joash and Saraph, who ruled in Moab and Jashubi-lehem. (These names are from ancient records.)

23ಮೇಲೆ ಕಂಡ ಜನರು ಕುಂಬಾರರು. ಅವರು ನೆಟಾಯಿಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗೆದೇರ ಎಂಬ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅರಸನ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.These were the potters who lived at Netaim and Gederah. They lived there in the service of the king.

24ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ನೆಮೂವೇಲ್, ಯಾಮೀನ್, ಯಾರೀಬ್, ಜೆರಹ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಲ.The descendants of Simeon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, and Shaul.

25ಸೌಲನ ಮಗ ಶಲ್ಲುಮ್. ಇವನ ಮಗ ಮಿಬ್ಸಾಮ್. ಮಿಬ್ಸಾಮನ ಮಗ ಮಿಷ್ಮ.The sons of Shaul: Shallum, Mibsam, and Mishma.

26ಮಿಷ್ಮಾನ ಸಂತಾನದವರು: ಇವನ ಮಗ ಹಮ್ಮೂವೇಲ್, ಇವನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗ ಜಕ್ಕೂರ್. ಜಕ್ಕೂರನ ಮಗನು ಶಿಮ್ಮೀ.The sons of Mishma: Hammuel, Zaccur, and Shimei.

27ಶಿಮ್ಮೀಗೆ ಹದಿನಾರು ಜನರು ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಆರು ಜನರು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಕುಲವು ಯೆಹೂದ ಕುಲದಷ್ಟು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters, but his brothers did not have many children, so their whole clan did not become as numerous as the sons of Judah.

28ದಾವೀದನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ತನಕ ಅವರು ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಇವು: ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬ, ಮೋಲಾದ್, ಹಚರ್ ಷೂವಾಲ,They lived in Beersheba, Moladah, Hazar-shual,

31ಬೇತ್ ಮರ್ಕಾಬೋತ್, ಹಚರ್ ಸೂಸೀಮ್, ಬೆತ್ ಬಿರೀ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾರಯಿಮ್.Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susim, Beth-biri, and Shaaraim. These were their cities until the reign of David.

32ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದ ಐದು ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು ಏಟಾಮ್, ಅಯಿನ್, ರಿಮ್ಮೋನ್, ತೋಕೆನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಆಷಾನ್.And their villages were Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochen, and Ashan—five towns—

35ಯೋವೇಲ್, ಯೊಷಿಬ್ಯನ ಮಗನೂ, ಸೆರಾಯನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನೂ, ಅಸಿಯೇಲನ ಮರಿಮಗನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಹೂ,Joel, Jehu son of Joshibiah (son of Seraiah, son of Asiel),

36ಎಲ್ಯೋವೇನೈ, ಯಾಕೋಬ, ಯೆಷೋಹಾಯ, ಅಸಾಯ, ಅದೀಯೇಲ್, ಯೆಸೀಮಿಯೇಲ್, ಬೆನಾಯ ಮತ್ತುElioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah,

37ಶೆಮಾಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶಿಮ್ರಿಯಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಯೆದಾಯನ ಮರಿಮಗನೂ, ಅಲ್ಲೋನನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನೂ, ಶಿಪ್ಫಿಯ ಮಗನು ಆದ ಜೀಜ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.and Ziza son of Shiphi (son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah).

38ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾದವು.These men listed by name were the leaders of their clans. Their families increased greatly,

39ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆಡು, ಕುರಿಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ಗೆದೋರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಕಣಿವೆಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ, ಆಚೆಯ ತಗ್ಗಿನ ಪೂರ್ವದಿಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ಹಸಿರು ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು.and they journeyed to the entrance of Gedor, to the east side of the valley, in search of pasture for their flocks.

40ದೇಶವು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸುಖ ಸಮಾಧಾನಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿತ್ತು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದವರು ಹಾಮ್ಯರೇ.There they found rich, good pasture, and the land was spacious, peaceful, and quiet; for some Hamites had lived there formerly.

41ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಯೆಹೂದ ರಾಜನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಹಾಮ್ಯರ ಪಾಳೆಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಮೆಗೂನ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಗೆದ್ದು, ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ನಿರ್ನಾಮಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆಡುಕುರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇವು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸಿಸಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೂಲನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಯಾರೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.These who were noted by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah. 42ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನ ಕುಲದ ಐನೂರು ಜನರು ಸೇಯೀರ್ ಪರ್ವತಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು. ಇಷ್ಷೀಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಪೆಲಟ್ಯ, ನೆಗರ್ಯ, ರೆಫಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ಉಜ್ಜೀಯೇಲ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಅವರ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು.And five hundred of these Simeonites led by Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi, went to Mount Seir

43ಅವರು ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ನೆಲೆಸಿದರು.and struck down the remnant of the Amalekites who had escaped. And they have lived there to this day.
