1 ULB ದಾವೀದನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನ ಮಿತ್ರನಾಗಿದ್ದ ತೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೀರಾಮನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯ ನಂತರ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: Now when Hiram king of Tyre heard that Solomon had been anointed king in his father’s place, he sent envoys to Solomon; for Hiram had always been a friend of David.
2 ULB ಅನಂತರ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ದೂತರ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೆ, BSB BSB: And Solomon relayed this message to Hiram:
3 ULB <<ಯೆಹೋವನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ವಶವಾಗುವವರೆಗೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಯುದ್ಧಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದನೆಂದು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೇ. BSB BSB: “As you are well aware, due to the wars waged on all sides against my father David, he could not build a house for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD had put his enemies under his feet.
4 ULB ನನಗಾದರೋ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುವವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ದಯೆಯಿಂದ ಆಪತ್ತು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿದೆ. BSB BSB: But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or crisis.
5 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, <ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಲಿ> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಅಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ, BSB BSB: So behold, I plan to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God, according to what the LORD said to my father David: ‘I will put your son on your throne in your place, and he will build the house for My Name.’
6 ULB ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ದೇವದಾರು ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು, ಅವರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು. ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವಷ್ಟು ಸಂಬಳವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಚೀದೋನ್ಯರಂತೆ ಮರಕೊಯ್ಯುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಣರು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: Now therefore, order that cedars of Lebanon be cut down for me. My servants will be with your servants, and I will pay your servants whatever wages you set, for you know that there are none among us as skilled in logging as the Sidonians.”
7 ULB ಹೀರಾಮನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು, <<ಈ ಮಹಾ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ಆಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನಾದ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಈಗ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದನು. BSB BSB: When Hiram received Solomon’s message, he rejoiced greatly and said, “Blessed be the LORD this day! He has given David a wise son over this great people!”
8 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ, <<ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದೆನು. ದೇವದಾರು ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನೂ, ತುರಾಯಿ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆನು. BSB BSB: Then Hiram sent a reply to Solomon, saying: “I have received your message; I will do all you desire regarding the cedar and cypress timber.
9 ULB ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವರು. ನಾನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಪ್ಪವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ, ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ನೇಮಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಡುವೆನು. ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ನನ್ನ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಿದೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: My servants will haul the logs from Lebanon to the Sea, and I will float them as rafts by sea to the place you specify. There I will separate the logs, and you can take them away. And in exchange, you can meet my needs by providing my household with food.”
10 ULB ಹೀಗೆ ಹೀರಾಮನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ತುರಾಯಿ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: So Hiram provided Solomon with all the cedar and cypress timber he wanted,
11 ULB ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಾದರೋ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯವರ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಕೋರ್ ಗೋದಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಕೋರ್ ನಿರ್ಮಲವಾದ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: and year after year Solomon would provide Hiram with 20,000 cors of wheat as food for his household, as well as 20,000 baths of pure olive oil.
12 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ತಾನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದನು. ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೂ ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಂಬಂಧವಿತ್ತು, ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರು ಪರಸ್ಪರವಾಗಿ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.
13 ULB ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತವಾಗಿ ಕರೆತಂದನು. BSB BSB: Then King Solomon conscripted a labor force of 30,000 men from all Israel.
14 ULB ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರಂತೆ ಪ್ರತಿತಿಂಗಳು ಲೆಬನೋನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಅವರು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅದೋನೀರಾಮನು ಇವರ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: He sent them to Lebanon in monthly shifts of 10,000 men, so that they would spend one month in Lebanon and two months at home. And Adoniram was in charge of the forced labor.
15 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರು ಹೊರೆ ಹೊರುವವರೂ, ಎಂಭತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವವರೂ ಇದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: Solomon had 70,000 porters and 80,000 stonecutters in the mountains,
16 ULB ಈ ಕೆಲಸದವರ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರದ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಮೇಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: not including his 3,300 foremen who supervised the workers.
17 ULB ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಹಾಕಬೇಕಾದ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಳುಗಳು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆತ್ತುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: And the king commanded them to quarry large, costly stones to lay the foundation of the temple with dressed stones.
18 ULB ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮತ್ತು ಹೀರಾಮನ ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಗಳೂ ಹಾಗು ಗೆಬಾಲ್ಯರೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆತ್ತುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ದೇವಾಲಯ ಕಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಕಲ್ಲು ಮತ್ತು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದರೂ ಇವರೇ. BSB BSB: So Solomon’s and Hiram’s builders, along with the Gebalites, quarried the stone and prepared the timber and stone for the construction of the temple.
