1 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷವು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ತಿಂಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಇತ್ತು. BSB BSB: When the ark of the LORD had been in the land of the Philistines seven months,
2 ULB ನಂತರ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಪೂಜಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕಣಿಹೇಳುವವರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ, <<ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು? ಅದನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಬೇಕು ತಿಳಿಸಿರಿ>> ಅನ್ನಲು BSB BSB: the Philistines summoned the priests and diviners, saying, “What shall we do with the ark of the LORD? Tell us how to send it back to its place.”
3 ULB ಅವರು, <<ನೀವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಬಾರದು. ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತದ್ರವ್ಯದೊಡನೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಗುಣಹೊಂದುವಿರಿ. ಆತನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಾಹಸ್ತವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. BSB BSB: They replied, “If you return the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it away empty, but by all means return it to Him with a guilt offering. Then you will be healed, and you will understand why His hand has not been lifted from you.”
4 ULB ಜನರು, <<ನಾವು ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಏನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಬೇಕು?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು, <<ನಿಮಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಿಗೂ ಒಂದೇ ವಿಧವಾದ ವ್ಯಾಧಿ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಐದು ಗಡ್ಡೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬಂಗಾರದ ಐದು ಇಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು. BSB BSB: “What guilt offering should we send back to Him?” asked the Philistines. “Five gold tumors and five gold rats,” they said, “according to the number of rulers of the Philistines, since the same plague has struck both you and your rulers.
5 ULB ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಶನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ವಿನಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿರುವ ಗಡ್ಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇಲಿ ಇವುಗಳ ಸ್ವರೂಪಗಳನ್ನು ಚಿನ್ನದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರೆ, ಆತನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಾಹಸ್ತವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದೀತು. BSB BSB: Make images of your tumors and of the rats that are ravaging the land. Give glory to the God of Israel, and perhaps He will lift His hand from you and your gods and your land.
6 ULB ಐಗುಪ್ತರಂತೆಯೂ ಫರೋಹನಂತೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇಕೆ? ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲೊಲ್ಲದ ಇವರನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ವಿಧವಾಗಿ ಬಾಧಿಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತಲ್ಲಾ. BSB BSB: Why harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened theirs? When He afflicted them, did they not send the people out so they could go on their way?
8 ULB ಆ ಬಂಡಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನೂ, ನೀವು ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಬಂಗಾರದ ವಸ್ತುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನೂ ಇಟ್ಟು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡಿರಿ. BSB BSB: Take the ark of the LORD, set it on the cart, and in a chest beside it put the gold objects you are sending back to Him as a guilt offering. Then send the ark on its way,
9 ULB ಅ ಹಸುಗಳು ತಾವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವದೇಶದ ದಾರಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಈ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದವನು ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಎಂದೂ, ಆ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯದಿದ್ದರೆ ಆತನ ಹಸ್ತವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ ಇದು ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು, ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ>> ಅಂದರು. BSB BSB: but keep watching it. If it goes up the road to its homeland, toward Beth-shemesh, it is the LORD who has brought on us this great disaster. But if it does not, then we will know that it was not His hand that punished us and that it happened by chance.”
10 ULB ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಹಾಲುಕರೆಯುವ ಎರಡು ಹಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂಡಿಗೆ ಹೂಡಿ ಅವುಗಳ ಕರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕಿದರು. BSB BSB: So the men did as instructed. They took two milk cows, hitched them to the cart, and penned up their calves.
11 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನೂ, ಚಿನ್ನದ ಇಲಿಗಳೂ, ಗಡ್ಡೆಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನೂ ಬಂಡಿಯ ಮೇಲಿಟ್ಟರು. BSB BSB: Then they put the ark of the LORD on the cart, along with the chest containing the gold rats and the images of the tumors.
12 ULB ಕೂಡಲೆ ಆ ಹಸುಗಳು ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷಿನ ರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದವು; ಎಡಬಲಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷಿನ ಎಲ್ಲೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋದರು. BSB BSB: And the cows headed straight up the road toward Beth-shemesh, staying on that one highway and lowing as they went, never straying to the right or to the left. The rulers of the Philistines followed behind them to the border of Beth-shemesh.
13 ULB ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷಿನವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋದಿಯ ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬಹು ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. BSB BSB: Now the people of Beth-shemesh were harvesting wheat in the valley, and when they looked up and saw the ark, they were overjoyed at the sight.
14 ULB ಬಂಡಿಯು ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷಿನವನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ನಿಂತಿತು. ಆಗ ಅವರು ಹೋಗಿ ಬಂಡಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿ, ಆ ಹಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡಿದರು. BSB BSB: The cart came to the field of Joshua of Beth-shemesh and stopped there near a large rock. The people chopped up the cart and offered the cows as a burnt offering to the LORD.
15 ULB ಲೇವಿಯರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನೂ, ಚಿನ್ನದ ವಸ್ತುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನೂ ಇಳಿಸಿ ಆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲಿಟ್ಟರು. ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷಿನವರು ಅದೇ ದಿನ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD and the chest containing the gold objects, and they placed them on the large rock. That day the men of Beth-shemesh offered burnt offerings and made sacrifices to the LORD.
16 ULB ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಐದು ಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಅದೇ ದಿನ ಎಕ್ರೋನಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದರು. BSB BSB: And when the five rulers of the Philistines saw this, they returned to Ekron that same day.
17 ULB ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಗಡ್ಡೆಗಳು ಅಷ್ಡೋದ್, ಗಾಜಾ, ಅಷ್ಕೆಲೋನ್, ಗತ್ ಊರು, ಎಕ್ರೋನ್ ಎಂಬ ಅವರ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೂ BSB BSB: As a guilt offering to the LORD, the Philistines had sent back one gold tumor for each city: Ashdod, Gaza, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron.
18 ULB ಅವರು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಇಲಿಗಳು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಐದು ಮಂದಿ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗ್ರಾಮ ನಗರಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷಿನವನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷವೂ ಇಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲೇ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಇದೆ. BSB BSB: The number of gold rats also corresponded to the number of Philistine cities belonging to the five rulers—the fortified cities and their outlying villages. And the large rock on which they placed the ark of the LORD stands to this day in the field of Joshua of Beth-shemesh.
19 ULB ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷಿನವರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಣಕಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಯಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾನಾಶನವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷಿನವರು ಗೋಳಾಡಿದರು. BSB BSB: But God struck down some of the people of Beth-shemesh because they looked inside the ark of the LORD. He struck down seventy men, and the people mourned because the LORD had struck them with a great slaughter.
20 ULB ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾರು ನಿಂತಾರು? ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಈತನು ಹೋಗತಕ್ಕ ಸ್ಥಳ ಯಾವುದು ಎಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು BSB BSB: The men of Beth-shemesh asked, “Who can stand in the presence of the LORD, this holy God? To whom should the ark go up from here?”
21 ULB ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ಯಾರೀಮಿನವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, <<ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನೀವು ಬಂದು ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. BSB BSB: So they sent messengers to the people of Kiriath-jearim, saying, “The Philistines have returned the ark of the LORD. Come down and take it up with you.”
