BSB BSB: Cornelius stared at him in fear and asked, “What is it, Lord?” The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have ascended as a memorial offering before God.

7 ULB ಕೊರ್ನೇಲ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ದೇವದೂತನು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ, ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸೇವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಿಪಾಯಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೈವಭಕ್ತನನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದು, BSB BSB: When the angel who spoke to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier from among his attendants.

12 ULB ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಸಕಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ಪಶುಗಳೂ, ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿದಾಡುವ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಕೀಟಗಳೂ, ಅಂತರಿಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರಾಡುವ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದವು. BSB BSB: It contained all kinds of four-footed animals and reptiles of the earth, as well as birds of the air.
13 ULB ಆಗ; <<ಪೇತ್ರನೇ, ಎದ್ದು, ಕೊಯ್ದು ತಿನ್ನು>> ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ವಾಣಿ ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು. BSB BSB: Then a voice said to him: “Get up, Peter, kill and eat!”
14 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪೇತ್ರನು; <<ಬೇಡವೇ ಬೇಡ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಾನು ಎಂದೂ ಹೊಲೆ ಪದಾರ್ಥವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ತಿಂದವನಲ್ಲ>> ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: “No, Lord!” Peter answered. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
15 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ;<<ದೇವರು ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀನು ಹೊಲೆ ಎನ್ನಬಾರದೆಂದು>> ಪುನಃ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಾಣಿ ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು. BSB BSB: The voice spoke to him a second time: “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
16 ULB ಹೀಗೆ ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಆಯಿತು. ಆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ವಸ್ತುವು ಆಕಾಶದೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡಿತು. BSB BSB: This happened three times, and all at once the sheet was taken back up into heaven.
17 ULB ಪೇತ್ರನು ತನಗಾದ ದರ್ಶನವು ಏನಾಗಿರಬಹುದೆಂದು ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳವಳ ಪಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ, ಆಗೋ, ಕೊರ್ನೆಲ್ಯನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಸೀಮೋನನ ಮನೆ ಯಾವುದು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಆ ಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು; BSB BSB: While Peter was puzzling over the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found Simon’s house and approached the gate.
18 ULB ಪೇತ್ರನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸೀಮೋನನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೋ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದರು. BSB BSB: They called out to ask if Simon called Peter was staying there.
19 ULB ಪೇತ್ರನು ಆ ದರ್ಶನದ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲು ದೇವರಾತ್ಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ; <<ಅಗೋ, ಮೂವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; BSB BSB: As Peter continued to reflect on the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are looking for you.
20 ULB ನೀನೆದ್ದು ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿದು ಏನೂ ಸಂಶಯಪಡದೆ ಅವರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗು; ನಾನೇ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: So get up! Go downstairs and accompany them without hesitation, because I have sent them.”
21 ULB ಪೇತ್ರನು ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿದು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು; <<ಇಗೋ, ನೀವು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವವನು ನಾನೇ; ನೀವು ಬಂದ ಕಾರಣವೇನು?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, BSB BSB: So Peter went down to the men and said, “Here am I, the one you are looking for. Why have you come?”
22 ULB ಅವರು; <<ಕೊರ್ನೆಲ್ಯನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರಿಂದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಹೆಸರು ಹೊಂದಿದವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದೇವದೂತನ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. BSB BSB: “Cornelius the centurion has sent us,” they said. “He is a righteous and God-fearing man with a good reputation among the whole Jewish nation. A holy angel instructed him to request your presence in his home so he could hear a message from you.”
23 ULB ಪೇತ್ರನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದು ಉಪಚರಿಸಿದನು. ಮರುದಿನ ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ಅವರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಟನು; ಯೊಪ್ಪ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಅವನ ಕೂಡ ಹೋದರು. BSB BSB: So Peter invited them in as his guests. And the next day he got ready and went with them, accompanied by some of the brothers from Joppa.

25 ULB ಪೇತ್ರನು ಬಂದಾಗ ಕೊರ್ನೆಲ್ಯನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಪಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದನು. BSB BSB: As Peter was about to enter, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet to worship him.
26 ULB ಆದರೆ ಪೇತ್ರನು; <<ಏಳು, ನಾನೂ ಸಹಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೇ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ, BSB BSB: But Peter helped him up. “Stand up,” he said, “I am only a man myself.”
27 ULB ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಮನೆಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು. BSB BSB: As Peter talked with him, he went inside and found many people gathered together.
29 ULB ಆದಕಾರಣ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ನಾನು ಯಾವ ಎದುರುಮಾತನ್ನೂ ಆಡದೆ ಬಂದೆನು. ಈಗ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿದ ಉದ್ದೇಶವೇನು ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಬೇಕು>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: So when I was invited, I came without objection. I ask, then, why have you sent for me?”
30 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊರ್ನೇಲ್ಯನು; <<ನಾನು ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದೇ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರನೇ ಗಳಿಗೆಯ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಹೊಳೆಯುವ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನನ್ನೆದುರಿಗೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು; BSB BSB: Cornelius answered: “Four days ago I was in my house praying at this, the ninth hour. Suddenly a man in radiant clothing stood before me
31 ULB ಕೊರ್ನೆಲ್ಯನೇ <ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ದಾನಧರ್ಮಗಳು ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬಂದವು. BSB BSB: and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your gifts to the poor have been remembered before God.
32 ULB ನೀನು ಯಾರನ್ನಾದರು ಯೊಪ್ಪಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಪೇತ್ರನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸೀಮೋನನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಬೇಕು, ಅವನು ಚಮ್ಮಾರನಾದ ಸೀಮೋನನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆ ಮನೆ ಸಮುದ್ರ ತೀರದ ಸಮೀಪವಿದೆ> ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: Therefore send to Joppa for Simon, who is called Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, by the sea.’
33 ULB ನಾನು ತಡಮಾಡದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದೆನು. ನೀವು ಬಂದದ್ದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಯಿತು. ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರು ಈಗ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ>> ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: So I sent for you immediately, and you were kind enough to come. Now then, we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has instructed you to tell us.”
35 ULB ಯಾವ ಜನಾಂಗದವರೇ ಆಗಲಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಗೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಈಗ ಸಂದೇಹವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ. BSB BSB: but welcomes those from every nation who fear Him and do what is right.
36 ULB ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೂ ಕರ್ತನಾಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮೂಲಕ ದೇವರು ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಶುಭಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನಿಮಗೇ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ. BSB BSB: He has sent this message to the people of Israel, proclaiming the gospel of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.
37 ULB ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೋಹಾನನು ಸಾರಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿ, ಯೂದಾಯದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಬಲವಾಯಿತು. BSB BSB: You yourselves know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee with the baptism that John proclaimed:

BSB BSB: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

BSB BSB: not by all the people, but by the witnesses God had chosen beforehand, by us who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.
42 ULB ಆತನೇ ಜೀವವಿರುವವರಿಗೂ, ಸತ್ತವರಿಗೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಂದ ನೇಮಕವಾದವನು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಾರಿ, ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: And He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that He is the One appointed by God to judge the living and the dead.
43 ULB ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಆತನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಕ್ಷಮಾಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವನೆಂದು ಆತನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ>> ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.”
44 ULB ಪೇತ್ರನು, ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ, ಅವನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು ಇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who heard his message.

47 ULB ನಡೆದ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಪೇತ್ರನು ನೋಡಿ; <<ನಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮವರವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಇವರಿಗೆ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನವಾಗದಂತೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಪಡಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು?>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, BSB BSB: “Can anyone withhold the water to baptize these people? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have!”
48 ULB ನೀವು ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವು ದಿನ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. BSB BSB: So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay for a few days.
