1 ULB ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು ನಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯವುಂಟಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದೇನೆಂದರೆ, <<ಅಬ್ರಾಮನೇ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಗುರಾಣಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿನಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕ ಬಹುಮಾನವು ದೊರೆಯುವುದು.>> BSB BSB: After these events, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”
3 ULB ಪುನಃ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, <<ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಸಂತಾನ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನೋಡು, ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನೇ ನನಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಬೇಕಾಯಿತು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: Abram continued, “Behold, You have given me no offspring, so a servant in my household will be my heir.”
4 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, <<ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನಿನಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟುವವನೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗುವನು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು, BSB BSB: Then the word of the LORD came to Abram, saying, “This one will not be your heir, but one who comes from your own body will be your heir.”
5 ULB <<ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನೋಡು, ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸುವುದು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದಾದರೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸು.>> ನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ, <<ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನವು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳಷ್ಟಾಗುವುದು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: And the LORD took him outside and said, “Now look to the heavens and count the stars, if you are able.” Then He told him, “So shall your offspring be.”
6 ULB ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದನು; ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅವನ ಲೆಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ನೀತಿಯೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: Abram believed the LORD, and it was credited to him as righteousness.
7 ULB ನಂತರ ಆತನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ, <<ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಊರ್ ಎಂಬ ಕಲ್ದೀಯರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಾನೇ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: The LORD also told him, “I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess.”
8 ULB <<ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವೆನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: But Abram replied, “Lord GOD, how can I know that I will possess it?”
9 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ, <<ನೀನು ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷದ ಮಣಕ, ಒಂದು ಆಡು, ಒಂದು ಟಗರು, ಒಂದು ಬೆಳವಕ್ಕಿ, ಒಂದು ಪಾರಿವಾಳದ ಮರಿಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: And the LORD said to him, “Bring Me a heifer, a goat, and a ram, each three years old, along with a turtledove and a young pigeon.”
10 ULB ಅವನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನು ಎರಡಾಗಿ ಸೀಳಿ, ಒಂದು ತುಂಡನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೊಂದರ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟನು; ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೀಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: So Abram brought all these to Him, split each of them down the middle, and laid the halves opposite each other. The birds, however, he did not cut in half.
11 ULB ಆ ಪಶುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹದ್ದುಗಳು ಎರಗಲು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: And the birds of prey descended on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away.
12 ULB ಹೊತ್ತು ಮುಣುಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಗಾಢನಿದ್ರೆ ಹತ್ತಿತು; ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕವಿಯಿತು; ಅವನು ಮಹಾಭೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತನಾದನು. BSB BSB: As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and suddenly great terror and darkness overwhelmed him.
13 ULB ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ, <<ನೀನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಯತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ಅನ್ಯದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಆ ದೇಶದವರಿಗೆ ದಾಸರಾಗುವರು. ನಾನೂರು ವರ್ಷ ಆ ದೇಶದವರಿಂದ ಬಾಧೆಪಡುವರು. BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Abram, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.
14 ULB ಅವರನ್ನು ದಾಸರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ನಾನು ದಂಡಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ಸಂಪತ್ತುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಆ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಬರುವರು. BSB BSB: But I will judge the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will depart with many possessions.
15 ULB ನೀನಂತೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನದೊಡನೆ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವಿ, ಬಹಳ ವೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವಿ. BSB BSB: You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a ripe old age.
17 ULB ಹೊತ್ತು ಮುಳುಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲಾದಾಗ, ಇಗೋ, ಹೊಗೆ ಹಾಯುವ ಒಲೆಯೂ ಉರಿಯುವ ದೀಪವೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಿ ಆ ತುಂಡುಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದು ಹೋದವು. BSB BSB: When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, behold, a smoking firepot and a flaming torch appeared and passed between the halves of the carcasses.
18 ULB ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, <<ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಯೂಫ್ರೆಟಿಸ್ ಮಹಾ ನದಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ. BSB BSB: On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your descendants I have given this land—from the river of Egypt to the great River Euphrates—
19 ULB ಕೇನಿಯರೂ, ಕೆನಿಜೀಯರೂ, ಕದ್ಮೋನಿಯರೂ, BSB BSB: the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites,
20 ULB ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರೂ, ಪೆರಿಜೀಯರೂ, ರೆಫಾಯರೂ, BSB BSB: Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites,
21 ULB ಅಮೋರಿಯರೂ, ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರೂ, ಗಿರ್ಗಾಷಿಯರೂ, ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ,>> ಎಂದು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದನು. BSB BSB: Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites.”
