2 ULB ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಸಾರಯಳು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ, <<ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ಹಾಗರಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು; ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವಳ ಮೂಲಕ ನನಗೆ ಸಂತಾನವಾದೀತು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಆಕೆಯ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: So Sarai said to Abram, “Look now, the LORD has prevented me from bearing children. Please go to my maidservant; perhaps I can build a family by her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.
3 ULB ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಹತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಸಾರಯಳು ಐಗುಪ್ತಳಾದ ಹಾಗರಳೆಂಬ ದಾಸಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದಳು. BSB BSB: So after he had lived in Canaan for ten years, his wife Sarai took her Egyptian maidservant Hagar and gave her to Abram to be his wife.
4 ULB ಅವನು ಹಾಗರಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗಮಿಸಲು ಆಕೆಯು ಬಸುರಾದಳು. ತಾನು ಬಸುರಾದೆನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನಿಯನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಸಾರ ಮಾಡತೊಡಗಿದಳು. BSB BSB: And he slept with Hagar, and she conceived. But when Hagar realized that she was pregnant, she began to despise her mistress.
5 ULB ಆಗ ಸಾರಯಳು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ, <<ನನ್ನ ಗೋಳು ನಿನಗೆ ತಟ್ಟಲಿ; ನನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದೆನಷ್ಟೆ; ಅವಳು ತಾನು ಬಸುರಾದೆನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಸಾರಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ; ನಿನಗೂ ನನಗೂ ನಡುವೆ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು. BSB BSB: Then Sarai said to Abram, “May the wrong done to me be upon you! I delivered my servant into your arms, and ever since she saw that she was pregnant, she has treated me with contempt. May the LORD judge between you and me.”
6 ULB ಆಗ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು, <<ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದಾಳಲ್ಲಾ; ನಿನ್ನಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬಂದಂತೆ ಮಾಡು>> ಎಂದನು. ಆಗ ಸಾರಯಳು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಲು ಅವಳು ಓಡಿಹೋದಳು. BSB BSB: “Here,” said Abram, “your servant is in your hands. Do whatever you want with her.” Then Sarai treated Hagar so harshly that she fled from her.
8 ULB <<ಸಾರಯಳ ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ಹಾಗರಳೇ, ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದಿ? ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀ?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವಳು, <<ನನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನಿಯಾದ ಸಾರಯಳ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ>> ಎಂದಳು. BSB BSB: “Hagar, servant of Sarai,” he said, “where have you come from, and where are you going?” “I am running away from my mistress Sarai,” she replied.
9 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೂತನು, <<ನೀನು ಯಜಮಾನಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಅಧೀನಳಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೋ>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: So the angel of the LORD told her, “Return to your mistress and submit to her authority.”
10 ULB ಅದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೂತನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ, <<ನಿನಗೆ ಬಹುಸಂತಾನವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಲಾಗದಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವುದು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: Then the angel added, “I will greatly multiply your offspring so that they will be too numerous to count.”
11 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೂತನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ, <<ನೀನು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿದಿಯಾ; ನಿನಗೆ ಮಗನು ಹುಟ್ಟುವನು; ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಷ್ಟದ ಕೂಗಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಡಬೇಕು. BSB BSB: The angel of the LORD proceeded: “Behold, you have conceived and will bear a son. And you shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard your cry of affliction.
12 ULB ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಕಾಡು ಕತ್ತೆಯಂತೆ ಇರುವನು. ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯೆತ್ತುವನು; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೈಯೆತ್ತುವರು. ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವನು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಹೋದನು. BSB BSB: He will be a wild donkey of a man, and his hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand against him; he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”
13 ULB ಆಮೇಲೆ ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ, <<ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ದೇವರು>> ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು: ಏಕೆಂದರೆ,<< ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಾತನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೋಡುವಂತಾಯಿತಲ್ಲಾ>> ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡಳು. BSB BSB: So Hagar gave this name to the LORD who had spoken to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “Here I have seen the One who sees me!”
14 ULB ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಯಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾವಿಗೆ<< ಬೆರ್ ಲಹೈರೋಯಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಾಯಿತು. ಅದು ಕಾದೇಶಿಗೂ ಬೆರೆದಿಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ. BSB BSB: Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi. It is located between Kadesh and Bered.
15 ULB ಹಾಗರಳು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು. ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: And Hagar bore Abram a son, and Abram gave the name Ishmael to the son she had borne.
16 ULB ಹಾಗರಳು ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಾಗ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಎಂಭತ್ತಾರು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to him.
