1 ULB ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ದಿನ ತುಂಬಿದ ವೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಕಲ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: By now Abraham was old and well along in years, and the LORD had blessed him in every way.
2 ULB ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಅವನು ತನಗಿದ್ದ ಆಸ್ತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು,<< ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ತೊಡೆಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಕೈಯಿಡು ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: So Abraham instructed the chief servant of his household, who managed all he owned, “Place your hand under my thigh,
3 ULB ಅನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಣೆ ನಾನು ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರೊಳಗಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಸಾಕನಿಗೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತಂದು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡದೆ, BSB BSB: and I will have you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites among whom I am dwelling,
4 ULB ನನ್ನ ದೇಶದ, ನನ್ನ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಇಸಾಕನಿಗೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತಂದು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಪರಲೋಕದ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಲೋಕದ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: but will go to my country and my kindred to take a wife for my son Isaac.”
5 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಸೇವಕನು, <<ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನನ್ನೊಡನೆ ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರೆ, ನೀನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಂದ ಆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬೇಕೋ?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: The servant asked him, “What if the woman is unwilling to follow me to this land? Shall I then take your son back to the land from which you came?”
6 ULB ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, <<ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲೇ ಬಾರದು. BSB BSB: Abraham replied, “Make sure that you do not take my son back there.
7 ULB ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಾನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ದೇಶದಿಂದಲೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರತಂದು, <ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು> ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಪರಲೋಕದ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ದೂತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ನೀನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಹೆಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವಂತೆ ಅನುಕೂಲಮಾಡುವನು. BSB BSB: The LORD, the God of heaven, who brought me from my father’s house and my native land, who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your offspring I will give this land’—He will send His angel before you so that you can take a wife for my son from there.
8 ULB ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಿಂದ ನೀನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿರುವಿ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬಾರದು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: And if the woman is unwilling to follow you, then you are released from this oath of mine. Only do not take my son back there.”
9 ULB ಆಗ ಆ ಸೇವಕನು ತನ್ನ ದಣಿಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ತೊಡೆಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟು ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದನು. BSB BSB: So the servant placed his hand under the thigh of his master Abraham and swore an oath to him concerning this matter.
11 ULB ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ನೀರು ತರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಅವನು ಊರಿನ ಹೊರಗಡೆ ಬಾವಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಒಂಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಲಗಿಸಿ, BSB BSB: As evening approached, he made the camels kneel down near the well outside the town at the time when the women went out to draw water.
12 ULB <<ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಾನು ಬಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಸಫಲಪಡಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. BSB BSB: “O LORD, God of my master Abraham,” he prayed, “please grant me success today, and show kindness to my master Abraham.
13 ULB ಇಗೋ, ನೀರಿನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಈ ಊರಿನ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳು ನೀರಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ. BSB BSB: Here I am, standing beside the spring, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water.
14 ULB ನಾನು ಯಾವ ಹುಡುಗಿಗೆ, <ನೀನು ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊಡವನ್ನು ಇಳಿಸಿ ನನಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕೊಡು> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಾಗ, <ನೀನು ಕುಡಿಯಬಹುದು ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಒಂಟೆಗಳಿಗೂ ನೀರು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ> ಎನ್ನುವಳೋ, ಅವಳೇ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನಾದ ಇಸಾಕನಿಗೆ ನೀನು ನೇಮಿಸಿರುವ ಕನ್ಯೆಯಾಗಲಿ. ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ದಯೆಯಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಇದರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದು>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: Now may it happen that the girl to whom I say, ‘Please let down your jar that I may drink,’ and who responds, ‘Drink, and I will water your camels as well’—let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. By this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.”
15 ULB ಅವನು ಹೀಗೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ತಮ್ಮನಾದ ನಾಹೋರನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಮಿಲ್ಕಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆತೂವೇಲನಿಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳು ಹೆಗಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೊಡವನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಊರ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು. BSB BSB: Before the servant had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milcah, the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor.
16 ULB ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿ ಬಹು ಸುಂದರಿಯೂ ಇನ್ನೂ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗದ ಕನ್ಯೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. BSB BSB: Now the girl was very beautiful, a virgin who had not had relations with any man. She went down to the spring, filled her jar, and came up again.
17 ULB ಆಕೆ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕೊಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಆ ಸೇವಕನು ಓಡಿಬಂದು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡು, <<ಅಮ್ಮಾ, ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊಡದಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡು>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆಕೆಯು, BSB BSB: So the servant ran to meet her and said, “Please let me have a little water from your jar.”
18 ULB ಆಕೆ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಕೊಡವನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಳಿಸಿ <<ಕುಡಿಯಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. BSB BSB: “Drink, my lord,” she replied, and she quickly lowered her jar to her hands and gave him a drink.
19 ULB ನೀರು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮೇಲೆ, <<ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಒಂಟೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ನೀರು ತಂದು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, BSB BSB: After she had given him a drink, she said, “I will also draw water for your camels, until they have had enough to drink.”
20 ULB ಕೊಡದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನೀರನ್ನು ನೀರಿನ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಹೊಯ್ಯಿದು ತಿರುಗಿ ತರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾವಿಗೆ ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋದಳು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಒಂಟೆಗಳಿಗೂ ನೀರನ್ನು ತಂದು ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. BSB BSB: And she quickly emptied her jar into the trough and ran back to the well to draw water, until she had drawn water for all his camels.
21 ULB ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಏನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡದೆ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಸಫಲ ಮಾಡಿದನೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: Meanwhile, the man watched her silently to see whether or not the LORD had made his journey a success.
22 ULB ಒಂಟೆಗಳು ಕುಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಅವನು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಅರ್ಧ ತೊಲಾ ತೂಕವುಳ್ಳ ಒಂದು ಚಿನ್ನದ ಮೂಗುತಿಯನ್ನು, ಆಕೆಯ ಕೈಗಳಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ತೊಲಾ ತೂಕವುಳ್ಳ ಎರಡು ಚಿನ್ನದ ಬಳೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, <<ನೀನು ಯಾರ ಮಗಳು? ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳು. BSB BSB: And after the camels had finished drinking, he took out a gold ring weighing a beka, and two gold bracelets for her wrists weighing ten shekels.
23 ULB ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಇಳಿದು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳವಿದೆಯೋ?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, BSB BSB: “Whose daughter are you?” he asked. “Please tell me, is there room in your father’s house for us to spend the night?”
24 ULB ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ, <<ನಾನು ನಾಹೋರನಿಗೆ ಮಿಲ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಬೆತೂವೇಲನ ಮಗಳು>> ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. BSB BSB: She replied, “I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son that Milcah bore to Nahor.”
25 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ, <<ಹುಲ್ಲೂ ಮೇವೂ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಇದೆ ಮತ್ತು ನೀನು ಉಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಸ್ಥಳವಿದೆ>> ಎಂದಳು. BSB BSB: Then she added, “We have plenty of straw and feed, as well as a place for you to spend the night.”
26 ULB ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ, BSB BSB: Then the man bowed down and worshiped the LORD,
27 ULB <<ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ. ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸತ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯ ಬಂಧುಗಳ ಮನೆಗೆ ನೆಟ್ಟನೆ ದಾರಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: saying, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not withheld His kindness and faithfulness from my master. As for me, the LORD has led me on the journey to the house of my master’s relatives.”
28 ULB ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯು ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗಿ ನಡೆದ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ತಾಯಿಯ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದಳು. BSB BSB: The girl ran and told her mother’s household about these things.
29 ULB ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಲಾಬಾನನೆಂಬ ಅಣ್ಣನಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಬಂದನು. BSB BSB: Now Rebekah had a brother named Laban, and he rushed out to the man at the spring.
30 ULB ತನ್ನ ತಂಗಿಯ ಬಳಿ ಇದ್ದ ಮೂಗುತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬಳೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿ, ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನೆಂದು ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. BSB BSB: As soon as he saw the ring, and the bracelets on his sister’s wrists, and heard Rebekah’s words, “The man said this to me,” he went and found the man standing by the camels near the spring.
31 ULB ಅವನಿಗೆ, <<ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದವನೇ, ಒಳಗೆ ಬಾ; ಯಾಕೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ನಿಂತಿರುತ್ತೀ? ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂಟೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: “Come, you who are blessed by the LORD,” said Laban. “Why are you standing out here? I have prepared the house and a place for the camels.”
32 ULB ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮನೆಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಲಾಬಾನನು ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಹೊರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇಳಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು, ಮೇವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಿಸಿ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದವರ ಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: So the man came to the house, and the camels were unloaded. Straw and feed were brought to the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of his companions.
33 ULB ಆದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬಡಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಅವನು, <<ನಾನು ಬಂದ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಹೇಳದೆ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ>> ಅನ್ನಲು ಲಾಬಾನನು, <<ಹೇಳು>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: Then a meal was set before the man, but he said, “I will not eat until I have told you what I came to say.” So Laban said, “Please speak.”
34 ULB ಆಗ ಅವನು, <<ನಾನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸೇವಕನು. BSB BSB: “I am Abraham’s servant,” he replied.
35 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯನ್ನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ, ದಾಸದಾಸಿಯರನ್ನೂ, ಒಂಟೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಧನವಂತನಾದನು. BSB BSB: “The LORD has greatly blessed my master, and he has become rich. He has given him sheep and cattle, silver and gold, menservants and maidservants, camels and donkeys.
36 ULB ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯ ಪತ್ನಿಯಾದ ಸಾರಳು ವೃದ್ಧಾಪ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು; ಆ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯು ತನಗಿರುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. BSB BSB: My master’s wife Sarah has borne him a son in her old age, and my master has given him everything he owns.
37 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, <ನಾನು ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದವರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ BSB BSB: My master made me swear an oath and said, ‘You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites in whose land I dwell,
38 ULB ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಂಧುಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲೇ ಹೆಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು.> BSB BSB: but you shall go to my father’s house and to my kindred to take a wife for my son.’
39 ULB ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಗೆ, <ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಕನ್ಯೆಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರೆ>>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು, BSB BSB: Then I asked my master, ‘What if the woman will not come back with me?’

BSB BSB: And he told me, ‘The LORD, before whom I have walked, will send His angel with you and make your journey a success, so that you may take a wife for my son from my kindred and from my father’s house.
41 ULB ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಿಂದ ನೀನು ಹೋದಾಗ ನನ್ನ ಬಂಧುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಹೆಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಕೊಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಿಂದ ನೀನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿರುವಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: And when you go to my kindred, if they refuse to give her to you, then you will be released from my oath.’
42 ULB ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಈ ಊರಿನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, <<ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀರಿನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೇನಷ್ಟೆ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಸಫಲಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ BSB BSB: So when I came to the spring today, I prayed: O LORD, God of my master Abraham, if only You would make my journey a success!
43 ULB ನೀರಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಯಾವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ, <ನೀನು ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು, ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊಡದಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಮ್ಮಾ> ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಕೇಳುವಾಗ, ಅವಳು, BSB BSB: Here I am, standing beside this spring. Now if a maiden comes out to draw water and I say to her, ‘Please let me drink a little water from your jar,’
44 ULB <ಕುಡಿಯಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಒಂಟೆಗಳಿಗೂ ನೀರು ತಂದು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅನ್ನುವಳೋ ಅವಳೇ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ನೇಮಕವಾದ ಕನ್ಯೆಯಾಗಿರಲಿ> ಎಂದು, BSB BSB: and she replies, ‘Drink, and I will draw water for your camels as well,’ may she be the woman the LORD has appointed for my master’s son.
45 ULB ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ, ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳು ಹೆಗಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೊಡವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಆಕೆಯು ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ನೀರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಾಗ ನಾನು ಆಕೆಗೆ, <ನನಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕೊಡು> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದೆನು. BSB BSB: And before I had finished praying in my heart, there was Rebekah coming out with her jar on her shoulder, and she went down to the spring and drew water. So I said to her, ‘Please give me a drink.’
46 ULB ಆ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಆಕೆ ಕೊಡವನ್ನು ಹೆಗಲಿನಿಂದ ಇಳಿಸಿ, <ಕುಡಿಯಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಂಟೆಗಳಿಗೂ ತಂದು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ> ಎಂದಳು. ನಾನು ಕುಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕೆ ಒಂಟೆಗಳಿಗೂ ನೀರು ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. BSB BSB: She quickly lowered her jar from her shoulder and said, ‘Drink, and I will water your camels as well.’ So I drank, and she also watered the camels.
47 ULB ನೀನು ಯಾರ ಮಗಳೆಂದು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕೆಯು, <ನಾನು ನಾಹೋರನಿಗೆ ಮಿಲ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಬೆತೂವೇಲನ ಮಗಳು> ಎಂದಳು. BSB BSB: Then I asked her, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ She replied, ‘The daughter of Bethuel son of Nahor, whom Milcah bore to him.’ So I put the ring on her nose and the bracelets on her wrists.
48 ULB ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಾನು ಆಕೆಯ ಮೂಗಿಗೆ ಮೂಗುತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕೈಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಳೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ತಲೆಬಾಗಿ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಆತನು ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯ ಮಗನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವನ ತಮ್ಮನ ಮಗಳನ್ನೇ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯದ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿದನು. BSB BSB: Then I bowed down and worshiped the LORD; and I blessed the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who led me on the right road to take the granddaughter of my master’s brother for his son.
49 ULB ಹೀಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ, ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಡೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿರಿ; ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆನ್ನಿರಿ; ಆಗ ನಾನು ಬಲಗಡೆಗಾಗಲಿ ಎಡಗಡೆಗಾಗಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸುತ್ತೇನೆ>> ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: Now if you will show kindness and faithfulness to my master, tell me; but if not, let me know, so that I may go elsewhere.”
50 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಲಾಬಾನನೂ, ಬೆತೂವೇಲನೂ, <<ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಲೇ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು; ನಾವಂತೂ ಹೌದೆಂದೂ, ಅಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ಹೇಳಲಾರೆವು. ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇವೆ; BSB BSB: Laban and Bethuel answered, “This is from the LORD; we have no choice in the matter.
51 ULB ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬಹುದು; ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳು ನಿನ್ನ ದಣಿಯ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಲಿ>> ಎಂದರು. BSB BSB: Rebekah is here before you. Take her and go, and let her become the wife of your master’s son, just as the LORD has decreed.”
52 ULB ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸೇವಕನು ಅವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ತಲೆಬಾಗಿ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: When Abraham’s servant heard their words, he bowed down to the ground before the LORD.
53 ULB ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ತಾನು ತಂದಿದ್ದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಒಡವೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದು ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆಕೆಯ ಅಣ್ಣನಿಗೂ ತಾಯಿಗೂ ಸಹ ಬೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: Then he brought out jewels of silver and gold, and articles of clothing, and he gave them to Rebekah. He also gave precious gifts to her brother and her mother.
54 ULB ಬಳಿಕ ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಊಟ ಉಪಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರು. ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದಾಗ ಅವನು, <<ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, BSB BSB: Then he and the men with him ate and drank and spent the night there. When they got up the next morning, he said, “Send me on my way to my master.”
55 ULB ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳ ಅಣ್ಣನೂ, ತಾಯಿಯೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ, <<ಹುಡುಗಿಯು ಇನ್ನು ಹತ್ತು ದಿನವಾದರೂ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರಲಿ; ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕೆ ಹೋಗಬಹುದು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. BSB BSB: But her brother and mother said, “Let the girl remain with us ten days or so. After that, she may go.”
56 ULB ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, <<ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಸಫಲಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಬೇಡಿರಿ, ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು, BSB BSB: But he replied, “Do not delay me, since the LORD has made my journey a success. Send me on my way so that I may go to my master.”
57 ULB ಅವರು, <<ನಾವು ಹುಡುಗಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಆಕೆಯ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ>> ಎಂದರು. BSB BSB: So they said, “We will call the girl and ask her opinion.”
58 ULB ಅವರು ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಆಕೆಗೆ, <<ಅಮ್ಮಾ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಹೋಗುವಿಯಾ?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಳು <<ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ>> ಎಂದಳು. BSB BSB: They called Rebekah and asked her, “Will you go with this man?” “I will go,” she replied.
59 ULB ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಂಗಿಯಾದ ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ, ಅವಳ ದಾಸಿಯರನ್ನು, ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. BSB BSB: So they sent their sister Rebekah on her way, along with her nurse and Abraham’s servant and his men.
60 ULB ಮತ್ತು ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ, <<ತಂಗಿ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಸಾವಿರ, ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಸಂತಾನವಾಗಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಹರಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: And they blessed Rebekah and said to her, “Our sister, may you become the mother of thousands upon thousands. May your offspring possess the gates of their enemies.”
61 ULB ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳೂ ಆಕೆಯ ದಾಸಿಯರೂ ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತಿದವರಾಗಿ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸೇವಕನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಸೇವಕರು ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟನು. BSB BSB: Then Rebekah and her servant girls got ready, mounted the camels, and followed the man. So the servant took Rebekah and left.
62 ULB ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸಾಕನು ಬೆರ್ ಲಹೈರೋಯಿ ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: Now Isaac had just returned from Beer-lahai-roi, for he was living in the Negev.

65 ULB ಆಕೆಯು ಆ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ, <<ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದು ಬರುವ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯಾರು?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಳು. ಅವನೇ ನನ್ನ ದಣಿಯೆಂದು ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ಆಕೆ ಮುಸುಕು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಳು. BSB BSB: and asked the servant, “Who is that man in the field coming to meet us?” “It is my master,” the servant answered. So she took her veil and covered herself.
66 ULB ಆ ಸೇವಕನು ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸಾಕನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಇಸಾಕನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಸಾರಳ ಗುಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು. BSB BSB: Then the servant told Isaac all that he had done.
67 ULB ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಸಾಕನು ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ವರಿಸಿದನು, ಆಕೆ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದಳು. ಅವನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ ಸಾರಳು ಸತ್ತ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ಶಮನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. BSB BSB: And Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah and took Rebekah as his wife. And Isaac loved her and was comforted after his mother’s death.
