1ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನೂ, ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನಾನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದಿಂದಲೂ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ಆಧಾರವಾದ ಅನ್ನಪಾನಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡುವೆನು.For behold, the Lord GOD of Hosts is about to remove from Jerusalem and Judah both supply and support: the whole supply of food and water,

2ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಶೂರ, ಯುದ್ಧಭಟರು, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿ, ಶಕುನದವ, ಹಿರಿಯ,the mighty man and the warrior, the judge and the prophet, the soothsayer and the elder,

3ಪಂಚಾಶತಾಧಿಪತಿ, ಘನವಂತನು, ಆಲೋಚನಾಪರನು, ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕನು ಮತ್ತು ವಾಕ್ಚಾತುರ್ಯವುಳ್ಳವನು ಆಗಿರುವ ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ತೊಲಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು.the commander of fifty and the dignitary, the counselor, the cunning magician, and the clever enchanter.

4ನಾನು, <<ಬಾಲಕರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಭುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಿಸುವೆನು, ಬಾಲಕರು ಅದನ್ನು ಆಳುವರು.“I will make mere lads their leaders, and children will rule over them.”

5ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳಾಗಿ, ಒಬ್ಬರನೊಬ್ಬರು ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವರು, ಬಾಲಕರು ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ನೀಚನು ಘನವಂತನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ವರ್ತಿಸುವರು.The people will oppress one another, man against man, neighbor against neighbor; the young will rise up against the old, and the base against the honorable.

6ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು, <ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿ ಇದೆ. ನೀನು ನಮಗೆ ಒಡೆಯನಾಗಬೇಕು. ಹಾಳಾದ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಕೆಳಗಿರಲಿ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಅಣ್ಣನನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತ ಮಾಡಲು ಅಣ್ಣನು ದೇಶದ ನಿರರ್ಥಕ ವ್ರಣವೈದ್ಯನಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ> ಎಂದು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವನು.A man will seize his brother within his father’s house: “You have a cloak—you be our leader! Take charge of this heap of rubble.”

7ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ, <ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಪಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ನವಾಗಲೀ, ವಸ್ತ್ರವಾಗಲೀ ಇಲ್ಲ: ಜನರನ್ನು ಆಳುವ ಒಡೆಯನನ್ನಾಗಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ>>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವನು.On that day he will cry aloud: “I am not a healer. I have no food or clothing in my house. Do not make me leader of the people!”

8ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು. ಯೆಹೂದವು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಯಿತು. ಅವರ ನಡೆನುಡಿಗಳು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಪ್ರಭಾವದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೆರಳಿಸುತ್ತದಲ್ಲವೇ?For Jerusalem has stumbled and Judah has fallen because they spoke and acted against the LORD, defying His glorious presence.

9ಅವರ ಮುಖಭಾವವೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡದೇ ಸೊದೋಮಿನವರಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಅವರ ಆತ್ಮದ ಗತಿಯೇ! ತಮಗೆ ತಾವೇ ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.The expression on their faces testifies against them, and like Sodom they flaunt their sin; they do not conceal it. Woe to them, for they have brought disaster upon themselves.

10ನೀವು ನೀತಿವಂತರಿಗೆ, <<ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು.Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their labor.

11ದುಷ್ಟರ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ! ಅವರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೊರಕುವುದು.Woe to the wicked; disaster is upon them! For they will be repaid with what their hands have done.

12ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾಲಕರು ಬಾಧಿಸುವರು. ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಳುವರು. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವವರು ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನೀವು ನಡೆಯತಕ್ಕ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.Youths oppress My people, and women rule over them. O My people, your guides mislead you; they turn you from your paths.

13ಯೆಹೋವನು ವಾದಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಜನರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.The LORD arises to contend; He stands to judge the people.

14ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರ ಹಿರಿಯರನ್ನು, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ತರುವನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, <<ನೀವು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟವನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಬಡವರಿಂದ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದದ್ದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ.The LORD brings this charge against the elders and leaders of His people: “You have devoured the vineyard; the plunder of the poor is in your houses.

15ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಜಜ್ಜಿ, ಬಡವರನ್ನು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವುದೇಕೆ?>> ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವನು ವಾದಿಸುವನು.Why do you crush My people and grind the faces of the poor?” declares the Lord GOD of Hosts.

16ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಹೆಂಗಸರು ಅಹಂಕಾರವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ, ಕತ್ತು ತೂಗುತ್ತಾ, ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ವಯ್ಯಾರವಾಗಿ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಾ, ಕಾಲು ಗೆಜ್ಜೆ ಜಣಜಣಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನಡೆಯುವವರಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ,The LORD also says: “Because the daughters of Zion are haughty—walking with heads held high and wanton eyes, prancing and skipping as they go, jingling the bracelets on their ankles—

17ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರ ನಡುನೆತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಹುಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದ ಬಾಧಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಮಾನವನ್ನು ಬಯಲುಮಾಡುವನು.the Lord will bring sores on the heads of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will make their foreheads bare.”

18ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರ ಅಂದುಗೆ, ತುರುಬುಬಲೆ, ಅರ್ಧಚಂದ್ರ,In that day the Lord will take away their finery: their anklets and headbands and crescents;

19ಜುಮುಕಿ, ಬಳೆ, ಶಿರವಸ್ತ್ರ,their pendants, bracelets, and veils;

20ಮುಂಡಾಸು, ಕಾಲಗೆಜ್ಜೆ, ಡಾಬು, ಗಂಧದ ಭರಣಿ, ತೋಳಬಂಧಿ,their headdresses, ankle chains, and sashes; their perfume bottles and charms;

21ಮುದ್ರೆ ಉಂಗುರ, ಮೂಗುತಿ,their signet rings and nose rings;

22ಹಬ್ಬದ ಉಡುಗೆ-ತೊಡುಗೆ, ಮೇಲಂಗಿ, ಶಾಲು, ಕೈಚೀಲ,their festive robes, capes, cloaks, and purses;

23ಕೈಗನ್ನಡಿ, ನಾರುಮಡಿ, ಮುಡಿ ಮುಕುಟ, ಮೇಲ್ಹೊದಿಕೆ ಈ ಸೊಗಸಾದ ಭೂಷಣಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವನು.and their mirrors, linen garments, tiaras, and shawls.

24ಆಗ ಸುಗಂಧದ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ದುರ್ವಾಸನೆ, ಡಾಬಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಹಗ್ಗ, ಅಂದವಾದ ಜಡೆಯ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಬೋಳುತಲೆ, ನಡುವಿನ ಶಲ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಗೋಣಿತಟ್ಟು, ಸೌಂದರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಕುರೂಪ, ಬೆತ್ತಲೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದು.Instead of fragrance there will be a stench; instead of a belt, a rope; instead of styled hair, baldness; instead of fine clothing, sackcloth; instead of beauty, shame.

25ಚೀಯೋನ್ ನಗರಿಯೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ವೀರರು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವರು. ನಿನ್ನ ಶೌರ್ಯವು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು.Your men will fall by the sword, and your warriors in battle.

26ಅವಳ ಪುರದ್ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಲಾಪವೂ, ದುಃಖವೂ ತುಂಬಿರುವವು. ಅವಳು ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಳು.And the gates of Zion will lament and mourn; destitute, she will sit on the ground.
