Isaiah 40 (ULB)

1<<ನನ್ನ ಸಂತೈಸಿರಿ, ಸಂತೈಸಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.“Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God.

2ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೃದಯಂಗಮವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿರಿ; ಅದರ ಗಡು ತೀರಿತು, ವಿಧಿಸಿದ ದೋಷಫಲವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರವೇರಿತು, ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಎರಡರಷ್ಟು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಆ ನಗರಿಗೆ ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿರಿ; ಇದೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆ.“Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her forced labor has been completed; her iniquity has been pardoned. For she has received from the hand of the LORD double for all her sins.”

3ಇಗೋ ಒಂದು ವಾಣಿ! <<ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿರಿ, ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿರಿ>>A voice of one calling: “Prepare the way for the LORD in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.

4ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಳ್ಳಕೊಳ್ಳಗಳು ಮುಚ್ಚಲ್ಪಡುವವು, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗುಡ್ಡಗಳು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವವು, ಮಲೆನಾಡು ಬಯಲು ಸೀಮೆಯಾಗುವುದು. ಒರಟಾದ ನೆಲವು ಸಮವಾಗುವುದು.Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill made low; the uneven ground will become smooth, and the rugged land a plain.

5ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಗೋಚರವಾಗುವುದು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವರು, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಬಾಯೇ ಇದನ್ನು ನುಡಿದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬನು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all humanity together will see it.” For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

6ಆಹಾ, ವಾಣಿಯು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೇಳಿಸಿ, <<ಕೂಗು ಎನ್ನುತ್ತದೆ>> ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು, <<ಏನು ಕೂಗಲಿ?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, <<ನರಜಾತಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗಿದೆ, ಅದರ ಲಾವಣ್ಯವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಡವಿಯ ಹೂವಿನಂತಿದೆ.A voice says, “Cry out!” And I asked, “What should I cry out?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flowers of the field.

7ಯೆಹೋವನ ಶ್ವಾಸವು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಹುಲ್ಲು ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು, ಹೂವು ಬಾಡಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು. ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಜನರು ಹುಲ್ಲೇ ಹುಲ್ಲು!The grass withers and the flowers fall when the breath of the LORD blows on them; indeed, the people are grass.

8ಹುಲ್ಲು ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು, ಹೂವು ಬಾಡಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಮಾತೋ ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ಇರುವುದು>> ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರವಾಯಿತು.The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.”

9ಶುಭಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ಚೀಯೋನೇ, ನೀನು ಉನ್ನತಪರ್ವತವನ್ನು ಏರು; ಸುವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತು, ನಿರ್ಭಯವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತಿ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ, <<ಇಗೋ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು!Go up on a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news. Raise your voice loudly, O Jerusalem, herald of good news. Lift it up, do not be afraid! Say to the cities of Judah, “Here is your God!”

10ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಶೂರನಾಗಿ ಬರುವನು, ತನ್ನ ಭುಜಬಲದಿಂದಲೇ ಆಳುವನು. ಇಗೋ, ಆತನ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಲಾಭವು ಆತನೊಂದಿಗಿದೆ, ಆತನ ಶ್ರಮದ ಫಲವು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಇದೆ.Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and His arm establishes His rule. His reward is with Him, and His recompense accompanies Him.

11ಆತನು ಕುರುಬನಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸುವನು, ಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಎದೆಗಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಹಾಲು ಕುಡಿಸುವ ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಲ್ಲನೆ ನಡೆಸುವನು>> ಎಂದು ಸಾರು.He tends His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart. He gently leads the nursing ewes.

12ಯಾರು ಸಾಗರ ಸಮುದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಿದಾದ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಅಳತೆಮಾಡಿದವನು? ಯಾರು ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲದ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಗೇಣಿನಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿದವನು? ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಳಗಕ್ಕೆ ತುಂಬಿದವನು ಯಾರು? ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ತ್ರಾಸಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕಡಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ತೂಗಿದವನು ಯಾರು?Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on a scale and the hills with a balance?

13ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರು ವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು? ಆಲೋಚನಾ ಕರ್ತನಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿದವರು ಯಾರು?Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or informed Him as His counselor?

14ಆತನು ಯಾರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು? ಯಾರು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಕಲಿಸಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿಸಿದನು? ಯಾರು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿ ವಿವೇಕ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದವನು?Whom did He consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the paths of justice? Who imparted knowledge to Him and showed Him the way of understanding?

15ಆಹಾ, ಆತನ ಗಣನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಕಪಿಲೆಯಿಂದ ಉದುರುವ ತುಂತುರಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ತಕ್ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಧೂಳಿನ ಹಾಗೂ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ. ಇಗೋ, ದ್ವೀಪಗಳನ್ನು ಅಣುರೇಣುವಿನಂತೆ ಎತ್ತುತ್ತಾನೆ.Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are considered a speck of dust on the scales; He lifts up the islands like fine dust.

16(ಆತನಿಗರ್ಪಿಸತಕ್ಕ) ಹೋಮಕ್ಕೆ ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಸಾಲದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಲದು.Lebanon is not sufficient for fuel, nor its animals enough for a burnt offering.

17ಸಕಲ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಆತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಿವೆ, ಅವು ಆತನ ಎಣಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶುದ್ಧಶೂನ್ಯವೇ.All the nations are as nothing before Him; He regards them as nothingness and emptiness.

18ಹೀಗಿರಲು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸುವಿರಿ? ಅಥವಾ ಯಾವ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ ಮಾಡುವಿರಿ?To whom will you liken God? To what image will you compare Him?

19ವಿಗ್ರಹವಾದರೋ, ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಎರಕಹೊಯ್ಯುವನು, ಅಕ್ಕಸಾಲಿಗನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಕವಚವನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಸರಪಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕುವನು.To an idol that a craftsman casts and a metalworker overlays with gold and fits with silver chains?

20(ಇಂಥದನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ) ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರದ ಬಡವನು, ಹುಳಿತು ಹೋಗದ ಮರವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಚಲಿಸದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಲು ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.One lacking such an offering chooses wood that will not rot. He seeks a skilled craftsman to set up an idol that will not topple.

21ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನೀವು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆದಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶವಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾದ ದಿನದಿಂದ ನೀವು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೋ?Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the foundation of the earth?

22ಭೂಮಂಡಲ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಮಿಡತೆಗಳಂತೆ ಸಣ್ಣಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸುವಷ್ಟು ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ಆಸೀನನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ನಾರುಬಟ್ಟೆಯಂತೆ ಹರಡಿ ನಿವಾಸದ ಗುಡಾರದಂತೆ ಎತ್ತಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth; its dwellers are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

23ಪ್ರಭುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ನಾಮ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಭೂಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಶೂನ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.He brings the princes to nothing and makes the rulers of the earth meaningless.

24ಇವರು ನೆಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕೂಡಲೆ, ಬಿತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ, ಇವರ ಸಂತಾನವು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೂರಿದಾಗಲೇ, ಆತನ ಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಬಾಡುವರು, ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಇವರನ್ನು ಒಣಹುಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆ ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವುದು.No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner have their stems taken root in the ground, than He blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like stubble.

25ಹೀಗಿರಲು, <<ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿ ಸರಿಸಮಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?>> ಎಂದು ಸದಮಲಸ್ವಾಮಿಯು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.“To whom will you liken Me, or who is My equal?” asks the Holy One.

26ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡಿರಿ! ಈ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದಾತನು ಯಾರು? ಈ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಹೆಸರೆತ್ತಿ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆತನು ಅತಿ ಬಲಾಢ್ಯನೂ, ಮಹಾಶಕ್ತನೂ ಆಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಒಂದೂ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗದು.Lift up your eyes on high: Who created all these? He leads forth the starry host by number; He calls each one by name. Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

27ಯಾಕೋಬೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, <<ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ, ನನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಬೇಕಾದ ನ್ಯಾಯವು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ>> ಎಂದು ಏಕೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀ?Why do you say, O Jacob, and why do you assert, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD, and my claim is ignored by my God”?

28ನೀನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿರಂತರ ದೇವರೂ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನು ದಣಿದು ಬಳಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ವಿವೇಕವು ಪರಿಶೋಧನೆಗೆ ಅಗಮ್ಯ.Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary; His understanding is beyond searching out.

29ಸೋತವನಿಗೆ ತ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ, ಬಲಹೀನನಿಗೆ ಬಹು ಬಲವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.He gives power to the faint and increases the strength of the weak.

30ಯುವಕರೂ ದಣಿದು ಬಳಲುವರು, ತರುಣರೂ ಸೊರಗಿ ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸುವರು.Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall.

31ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರೋ ಹೊಸ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವರು; ಅವರು ಹದ್ದುಗಳಂತೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಏರುವರು; ಅವರು ಓಡಿ ದಣಿಯರು, ನಡೆದು ಬಳಲರು.But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
