1 ULB ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತ ಓಡಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಚೌಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ; ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಇದ್ದಾನೋ? ಇಂತಹ ಸತ್ಪುರುಷನನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದೇ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ನಿಶ್ಚಯಿಸಿರಿ; ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದರೆ ನಾನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸುವೆನು. BSB BSB: “Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem. Look now and take note; search her squares. If you can find a single person, anyone who acts justly, anyone who seeks the truth, then I will forgive the city.
2 ULB ಜನರು, <<ಯೆಹೋವನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ>> ಎಂದರೂ ಆ ಆಣೆಯು ಸುಳ್ಳೇ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. BSB BSB: Although they say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives,’ they are swearing falsely.”
3 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಸತ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುತ್ತವಲ್ಲಾ; ನೀನು ಹೊಡೆದರೂ ಅವರು ದುಃಖಪಡಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರೂ ನೀತಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲಿಗಿಂತ ಕಠಿನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಡದೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. BSB BSB: O LORD, do not Your eyes look for truth? You struck them, but they felt no pain. You finished them off, but they refused to accept discipline. They have made their faces harder than stone and refused to repent.
4 ULB ಹೀಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು, <<ಇವರು ಬಡವರು, ಮೂರ್ಖರು, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿಯದವರು; BSB BSB: Then I said, “They are only the poor; they have played the fool, for they do not know the way of the LORD, the justice of their God.
5 ULB ನಾನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವೆನು; ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ದೇವರ ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಧಿಗಳೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು>> ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಈ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಒಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಗಲ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು, ಕಣ್ಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. BSB BSB: I will go to the powerful and speak to them. Surely they know the way of the LORD, the justice of their God.” But they too, with one accord, had broken the yoke and torn off the chains.
6 ULB ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅಡವಿಯ ಸಿಂಹವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದು, ಕಾಡಿನ ತೋಳವು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುವುದು, ಚಿರತೆಯು ಅವರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನೂ ಸೀಳುವುದು. ಅವರ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳು ಬಹಳ, ಅವರ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳು ಅಪಾರ. BSB BSB: Therefore a lion from the forest will strike them down, a wolf from the desert will ravage them. A leopard will lie in wait near their cities, and everyone who ventures out will be torn to pieces. For their rebellious acts are many, and their unfaithful deeds are numerous.
7 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು, <<ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲಿ? ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ದೇವರಲ್ಲದವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಆಹಾರಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮೇಲೂ ಅವರು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದರು, ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಣಿಯರ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಂಪುಕೂಡಿದರು. BSB BSB: “Why should I forgive you? Your children have forsaken Me and sworn by gods that are not gods. I satisfied their needs, yet they committed adultery and assembled at the houses of prostitutes.
8 ULB ಕೊಬ್ಬಿ ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತ ಓಡಾಡುವ ಕುದುರೆಗಳಂತೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಮೋಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: They are well-fed, lusty stallions, each neighing after his neighbor’s wife.
9 ULB ನಾನು ಇವುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ದಂಡಿಸಬಾರದೋ? ಇಂತಹ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ರೋಷವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸದಿರುವೆನೋ>> ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. BSB BSB: Should I not punish them for these things?” declares the LORD. “Should I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?
10 ULB <<ಚೀಯೋನೆಂಬ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ತೋಟದ ಸಾಲುಗಿಡಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿರಿ, ಆದರೆ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಅದರ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿರಿ, ಅವು ಯೆಹೋವನವುಗಳಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: Go up through her vineyards and ravage them, but do not finish them off. Strip off her branches, for they do not belong to the LORD.

12 ULB ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆದು, <ಆತನು ಏನು ಮಾಡುವನು? ನಮಗೆ ಕೇಡುಬಾರದು, ಖಡ್ಗವೂ, ಕ್ಷಾಮವೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬೀಳವು; BSB BSB: They have lied about the LORD and said: “He will not do anything; harm will not come to us; we will not see sword or famine.
13 ULB ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು ಬರೀ ಗಾಳಿಯೇ, ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿಯು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಆಗಲಿ>>> ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. BSB BSB: The prophets are but wind, for the word is not in them. So let their own predictions befall them.”
14 ULB ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ದೇವರು, <<ನೀವು ಹೀಗೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಹಾ, ನಾನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿನ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸೌದೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುವೆನು, ಅದು ಅವರನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುವುದು. BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD God of Hosts says: “Because you have spoken this word, I will make My words a fire in your mouth and this people the wood it consumes.

17 ULB ಇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಗಂಡು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ದನ ಮತ್ತು ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾಲತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವರು. ನಿನ್ನ ಭರವಸೆಯ ಕೋಟೆಕೊತ್ತಲುಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವರು. BSB BSB: They will devour your harvest and food; they will consume your sons and daughters; they will eat up your flocks and herds; they will feed on your vines and fig trees. With the sword they will destroy the fortified cities in which you trust.”
18 ULB ಆದರೆ ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡೆನು, ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನನ್ನ ನುಡಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. BSB BSB: “Yet even in those days,” declares the LORD, “I will not make a full end of you.
19 ULB <<ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಮಗೆ ಏಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ?>> ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರು ಅನ್ನುವಾಗ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, <<ನೀವು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು, ಸ್ವದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಪರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು. BSB BSB: And when the people ask, ‘For what offense has the LORD our God done all these things to us?’ You are to tell them, ‘Just as you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so will you serve foreigners in a land that is not your own.’”
20 ULB ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಮನೆತನದೊಳಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಸಾರಿರಿ, ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿರಿ, BSB BSB: Declare this in the house of Jacob and proclaim it in Judah:
21 ULB ಕಣ್ಣಿದ್ದರೂ ಕಾಣದ, ಕಿವಿ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಕೇಳದ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಮೂಢ ಜನರೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, BSB BSB: “Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear.
22 ULB ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಅಂಜುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ, ನನ್ನೆದುರಿಗೆ ನಡುಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಸಮುದ್ರವು ದಾಟದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯನಿಬಂಧನೆಯಿಂದ ಮೇರೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನಷ್ಟೆ. ತೆರೆಗಳು ಅಲ್ಲಕಲ್ಲೋಲವಾದರೂ ಮೀರಲಾರವು, ಭೋರ್ಗರೆದರೂ ಹಾಯಲಾರವು. BSB BSB: Do you not fear Me?” declares the LORD. “Do you not tremble before Me, the One who set the sand as the boundary for the sea, an enduring barrier it cannot cross? The waves surge, but they cannot prevail. They roar but cannot cross it.
23 ULB ಈ ಜನರ ಹೃದಯವೋ ನನ್ನ ಅಧೀನ ತಪ್ಪಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ; ಇವರು ನನ್ನ ಅಧೀನವನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. BSB BSB: But these people have stubborn and rebellious hearts. They have turned aside and gone away.
24 ULB <<ಮುಂಗಾರು, ಹಿಂಗಾರು ಅಂತು ಸಕಾಲದ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿ, ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯ ಕೆಲವು ವಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನಮಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಪಡಿಸುವ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಡೋಣ>> ಎಂದು ಮನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳವುದಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: They have not said in their hearts, ‘Let us fear the LORD our God, who gives the rains, both autumn and spring, in season, who keeps for us the appointed weeks of harvest.’
25 ULB ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳು ನಿಮಗಾಗುವ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿವೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಳಿತನ್ನು ತಡೆದಿದೆ. BSB BSB: Your iniquities have diverted these from you; your sins have deprived you of My bounty.
26 ULB ನನ್ನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಕಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಬೇಡರು ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಉರುಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. BSB BSB: For among My people are wicked men; they watch like fowlers lying in wait; they set a trap to catch men.
27 ULB ಪಂಜರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ತುಂಬಿರುವಂತೆ ಅವರ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಸದ ಫಲವು ತುಂಬಿದೆ; ಇದರಿಂದ ಧನವಂತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. BSB BSB: Like cages full of birds, so their houses are full of deceit. Therefore they have become powerful and rich.
28 ULB ಕೊಬ್ಬಿ ಡಾಂಭಿಕರಾದ್ದಾರೆ; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಸ್ಸೀಮರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅನಾಥರ ವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ನಡೆಸರು, ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯದೊರಕಿಸರು. BSB BSB: They have grown fat and sleek, and have excelled in the deeds of the wicked. They have not taken up the cause of the fatherless, that they might prosper; nor have they defended the rights of the needy.
29 ULB ನಾನು ಇವುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ದಂಡಿಸಬಾರದೋ? ಇಂಥಾ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ರೋಷವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸದಿರುವೆನೋ? ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತು ಎಂಬುದೇ. BSB BSB: Should I not punish them for these things?” declares the LORD. “Should I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?
30 ULB ಭೀಕರವೂ, ಅಸಹ್ಯವೂ ಆದ ಸಂಗತಿಯು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದುಬಂದಿದೆ; BSB BSB: A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land.
31 ULB ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಯಾಜಕರು ಅವರಿಂದ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಹೊಂದಿ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಇದನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಗೆ ನೀವು ಏನು ಮಾಡುವಿರಿ? BSB BSB: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority. My people love it so, but what will you do in the end?
