1ಅದಿರಲಿ, ಯೋಬನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು.“But now, O Job, hear my speech, and listen to all my words.

2ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನನ್ನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಬಾಯಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.Behold, I will open my mouth; my address is on the tip of my tongue.

3ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಯಥಾರ್ಥತ್ವವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳೇ ತಿಳಿಸುವವು, ನನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವವು.My words are from an upright heart, and my lips speak sincerely what I know.

4ನಾನು ದೇವರಾತ್ಮನಿಂದಲೇ ನಿರ್ಮಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನನ್ನ ಜೀವವು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರ ಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದುಂಟಾಗಿದೆ.The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

5ನಿನಗೆ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡು, ನನ್ನೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ವಾದವನ್ನು ಹೂಡಿ ನಿಂತುಕೋ.Refute me if you can; prepare your case and confront me.

6ನೋಡು, ನಾನು ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನೂ ಜೇಡಿಮಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದ ರೂಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.I am just like you before God; I was also formed from clay.

7ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಭೀತಿಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆದರಿಸಲಾರದು, ನನ್ನ ಒತ್ತಾಯವು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೊರೆಯಾಗಿರದು.Surely no fear of me should terrify you; nor will my hand be heavy upon you.

8ನಿನ್ನ ನುಡಿಯ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡಿದ್ದಿ,Surely you have spoken in my hearing, and I have heard these very words:

9<ನಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನು, ನನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ದೋಷವಿಲ್ಲ, ನಾನು ನಿರ್ಮಲನು, ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ಪಾಪವಿಲ್ಲ.‘I am pure, without transgression; I am clean, with no iniquity in me.

10ಆಹಾ, ಆತನು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿರೋಧಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣಗಳನ್ನು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುವೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.Yet God finds occasions against me; He counts me as His enemy.

11ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೋಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.He puts my feet in the stocks; He watches over all my paths.’

12ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ನ್ಯಾಯವಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದೇ ನನ್ನ ಉತ್ತರ, ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನಷ್ಟೆ.Behold, you are not right in this matter. I will answer you, for God is greater than man.

13ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕಾದರೂ ಉತ್ತರ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸನೆಂಬುದಾಗಿ, ನೀನು ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡುವುದೇಕೆ?Why do you complain to Him that He answers nothing a man asks?

14ದೇವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ರೀತಿ ಒಂದುಂಟು ಹೌದು, ಎರಡೂ ಉಂಟು, ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದರೋ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.For God speaks in one way and in another, yet no one notices.

15ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಗಾಢನಿದ್ರೆಯು ಉಂಟಾದಾಗಲೂ, ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಲಗಿದಾಗ ಜೊಂಪುಹತ್ತಿದಾಗಲೂ ಆತನು ಸ್ವಪ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಕನಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ,In a dream, in a vision in the night, when deep sleep falls upon men as they slumber on their beds,

16ಅವರ ಕಿವಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಾವಚನವನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುದ್ರೆ ಹಾಕುವನು.He opens their ears and terrifies them with warnings

17ಹೀಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಅವನ ದುಷ್ಕಾರ್ಯದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವನು, ಮಾನವನಿಗೆ ಗರ್ವವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡುವನು.to turn a man from wrongdoing and keep him from pride,

18ಅವನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಅಧೋಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬೀಳದಂತೆ ತಡೆದು, ಅವನ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ದೈವಾಸ್ತ್ರದಿಂದ ಅಳಿದು ಹೋಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವನು.to preserve his soul from the Pit and his life from perishing by the sword.

19ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಂಕಟದಿಂದಲೂ, ನಿತ್ಯವಾದ ಎಲುಬುಗಳ ನೋವಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು.A man is also chastened on his bed with pain and constant distress in his bones,

20ಅವನ ಜೀವವು ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದು, ಅವನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಮೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ನಕ್ಕೂ ಅಸಹ್ಯಪಡುವುದು.so that he detests his bread, and his soul loathes his favorite food.

21ಅವನ ಮಾಂಸವು ಕ್ಷಯಿಸಿ ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋಗುವುದು, ಕಾಣದಿದ್ದ ಅವನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳು ಬಯಲಾಗುವವು.His flesh wastes away from sight, and his hidden bones protrude.

22ಅವನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಅಧೋಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಸಮೀಪಿಸುವುದು, ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಸಂಹಾರದೂತರಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರವಾಗುವುದು.He draws near to the Pit, and his life to the messengers of death.

23ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸತಕ್ಕ ಸಹಸ್ರ ದೇವದೂತರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿ ಬೇಡುವುದರಿಂದ,Yet if there is a messenger on his side, one mediator in a thousand, to tell a man what is right for him,

24ದೇವರು ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ ಈಡು ದೊರಕುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ, <ಅಧೋಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಯದಂತೆ ಇವನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸು> ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ,to be gracious to him and say, ‘Spare him from going down to the Pit; I have found his ransom,’

25ಅವನ ದೇಹವು ಬಾಲ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಕೋಮಲವಾಗುವುದು. ಅವನು ಪುನಃ ಎಳೆತನದ ಚೈತನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವನು.then his flesh is refreshed like a child’s; he returns to the days of his youth.

26ಅವನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿ ಆತನ ಒಲುಮೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರನಾಗಿ, ಆತನ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಧ್ವನಿಗೈದು, ತಿರುಗಿ ಆತನಿಂದ ನೀತಿವಂತನೆಂದು ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.He prays to God and finds favor; he sees God’s face and shouts for joy, and God restores His righteousness to that man.

27ಅವನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು, <ನಾನು ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ, ಆತನು ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.Then he sings before men with these words: ‘I have sinned and perverted what was right; yet I did not get what I deserved.

28ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಅಧೋಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗದಂತೆ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ನನ್ನ ಜೀವವು ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿರುವುದು> ಎಂದು ಕೀರ್ತನೆ ಹಾಡುವನು.He redeemed my soul from going down to the Pit, and I will live to see the light.’

29ದೇವರು ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿ, ಹೌದು ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡುವನು.Behold, all these things God does to a man, two or even three times,

30ನೋಡು, ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಅಧೋಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ, ಜೀವಲೋಕದ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನುto bring back his soul from the Pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of life.

31ಯೋಬನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಗಮನವಿಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳು, ಮೌನವಾಗಿರು, ನಾನೇ ಮಾತನಾಡುವೆನು.Pay attention, Job, and listen to me; be silent, and I will speak.

32ನೀನು ಏನಾದರೂ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳು, ಮಾತನಾಡು, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೆಂದು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ನನ್ನ ಆಶೆ.But if you have something to say, answer me; speak up, for I would like to vindicate you.

33ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ನೀನೇ ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರು, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುವೆನು.>>But if not, then listen to me; be quiet, and I will teach you wisdom.”
