5 ULB ಆ ಬೆಳಕು ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕತ್ತಲು ಆ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಮುಸುಕಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
7 ULB ಆ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಂದನು. ತನ್ನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನಂಬುವಂತೆ ಅವನು ಬೆಳಕಿನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡಲು ಬಂದನು. BSB BSB: He came as a witness to testify about the Light, so that through him everyone might believe.

15 ULB ಆತನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ<< <ನನ್ನ ನಂತರ ಬರುವಾತನು ನನಗಿಂತ ಮೊದಲೇ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ನನಗಿಂತಲೂ ಉನ್ನತನು> ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದಾತನು ಈತನೇ>> ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: John testified concerning Him. He cried out, saying, “This is He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me.’”
16 ULB ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣತೆಯಿಂದ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೃಪೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆವು. BSB BSB: From His fullness we have all received grace upon grace.

23 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಹಾನನು, <<ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ, <ಕರ್ತನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗುವವನ ಧ್ವನಿಯೇ ನಾನು>>> ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet: “I am a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’”

28 ULB ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೋಹಾನನು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೇಥಾನ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ಉರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. BSB BSB: All this happened at Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 ULB ಮರುದಿನ ಯೋಹಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, <<ಅಗೋ, ಲೋಕದ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡಲು ದೇವರು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಯಜ್ಞದಕುರಿಮರಿ. BSB BSB: The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

31 ULB ನನಗೂ ಆತನ ಗುರುತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೊಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸುವವನಾಗಿ ಬಂದೆನು.>> BSB BSB: I myself did not know Him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that He might be revealed to Israel.”
32 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, <<ದೇವರಾತ್ಮನು ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಪಾರಿವಾಳದಂತೆ ಇಳಿಯುವುದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡೆನು. BSB BSB: Then John testified, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove and resting on Him.
33 ULB ನನಗೂ ಆತನು ಯಾರೆಂಬುದು ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನು <ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತ್ಮನು ಇಳಿದುಬಂದು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೋಡುವಿಯೋ ಆತನೇ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಿಂದ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಕೊಡುವಾತನು> ಎಂದು ತಾನೇ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: I myself did not know Him, but the One who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is He who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’

35 ULB ಮರುದಿನ ಪುನಃ ಯೋಹಾನನೂ ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಶಿಷ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು, BSB BSB: The next day John was there again with two of his disciples.
36 ULB ಆಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಯೋಹಾನನೂ ಅಗೋ, <<ಯಜ್ಞಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರು ನೇಮಿಸಿರುವ ಕುರಿಮರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: When he saw Jesus walking by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”
37 ULB ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಯೋಹಾನನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: And when the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.
38 ULB ಯೇಸು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, <<ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಬೇಕು?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು, <<ರಬ್ಬಿಯೇ, (ಅಂದರೆ ಗುರುವೇ) ನೀನು ವಾಸಿಸುವುದು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. BSB BSB: Jesus turned and saw them following. “What do you want?” He asked. They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are You staying?”

40 ULB ಯೋಹಾನನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀಮೋನ್ ಪೇತ್ರನ ತಮ್ಮನಾದ ಅಂದ್ರೆಯನು ಒಬ್ಬನು. BSB BSB: Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard John’s testimony and followed Jesus.

(ಕೇಫ ಎಂದರೆ ಪೇತ್ರ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಬಂಡೆ ಎಂದು ಅರ್ಥ) BSB BSB: Andrew brought him to Jesus, who looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which is translated as Peter).
43 ULB ಮರುದಿನ ಯೇಸು ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವಾಗ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, <<ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸು>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: The next day Jesus decided to set out for Galilee. Finding Philip, He told him, “Follow Me.”

BSB BSB: Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the One Moses wrote about in the Law, the One the prophets foretold—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
46 ULB ನತಾನಯೇಲನು <<ನಜರೇತಿನಿಂದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೇನಾದರೂ ಬರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೋ?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು <<ಬಂದು ನೋಡು,>> ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip.
47 ULB ಯೇಸು ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ನತಾನಯೇಲನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು <<ಇಗೋ, ಇವನು ನಿಜವಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು, ಇವನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಪಟವಿಲ್ಲ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, He said of him, “Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceit.”
48 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನತಾನಯೇಲನು <<ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಬಲ್ಲೆ?>> ಎಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು <<ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲೇ ನೀನು ಆ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದೆನು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: “How do You know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus replied, “Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.”
49 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನತಾನಯೇಲನು, <<ಗುರುವೇ, ನೀನು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನು! ನೀನೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: “Rabbi,” Nathanael answered, “You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”
50 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು <<ಆ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದೆನೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ನಂಬುತ್ತೀಯೋ? ನೀನು ಇವುಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವೆ,>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: Jesus said to him, “Do you believe just because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than these.”
51 ULB ಯೇಸು <<ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಪರಲೋಕವು ತೆರೆದಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವದೂತರು ಏರುತ್ತಾ ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವುದನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ನೋಡುವಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: Then He declared, “Truly, truly, I tell you, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
