2 ULB ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ, <<ಇವನು ಸ್ನಾನಿಕ ಯೋಹಾನನೇ; ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: and said to his servants, “This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him.”
3 ULB ಹೆರೋದನು ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣನಾದ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಹೆರೋದ್ಯಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಯೋಹಾನನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಸಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: Now Herod had arrested John and bound him and put him in prison on account of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife,
4 ULB ಯೋಹಾನನು ಹೆರೋದನಿಗೆ <<ನೀನು ಇವಳನ್ನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ನ್ಯಾಯವಲ್ಲವೆಂದು>> ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: because John had been telling him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.”
5 ULB ಹೆರೋದನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದರೂ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟನು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: Although Herod wanted to kill John, he was afraid of the people, because they regarded John as a prophet.
6 ULB ಆದರೆ ಹೆರೋದನ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ದಿನದ ಹಬ್ಬವು ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ ಹೆರೋದ್ಯಳ ಮಗಳು ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ನೃತ್ಯಮಾಡಿ ಹೆರೋದನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದಳು. BSB BSB: On Herod’s birthday, however, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herod
7 ULB ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ, ನೀನು ಏನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಅಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದನು. BSB BSB: so much that he promised with an oath to give to her whatever she asked.
8 ULB ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿ, <<ಸ್ನಾನಿಕ ಯೋಹಾನನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹರಿವಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ತರಿಸಿಕೊಡು>> ಅಂದಳು. BSB BSB: Prompted by her mother, she said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.”
9 ULB ಆಕೆಯ ಕೋರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಅರಸನು ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟರೂ ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಅಣೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ, ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದವರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅದನ್ನು ತಂದುಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: The king was grieved, but because of his oaths and his guests, he ordered that her wish be granted
10 ULB ಅವನು ಆಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಹಾನನ ಶಿರಚ್ಛೇದನಮಾಡಿ, BSB BSB: and sent to have John beheaded in the prison.
11 ULB ಅವರು ಅವನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹರಿವಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದು ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವಳು ಅದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದಳು. BSB BSB: John’s head was brought in on a platter and presented to the girl, who carried it to her mother.
12 ULB ಯೋಹಾನನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಬಂದು ಅವನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು. ಅನಂತರ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: Then John’s disciples came and took his body and buried it. And they went and informed Jesus.
13 ULB ಯೇಸು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅಡವಿಯ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಜನರು ಗುಂಪು ಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಂದ ಕಾಲುನಡಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: When Jesus heard about John, He withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. But the crowds found out about it and followed Him on foot from the towns.
14 ULB ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಬಹು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ರೋಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿದನು. BSB BSB: When He stepped ashore and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them and healed their sick.
15 ULB ಸಂಜೆಯಾದಾಗ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, <<ಇದು ಅಡವಿಯ ಸ್ಥಳ ಈಗ ಹೊತ್ತು ಮುಳುಗಿಹೋಯಿತು. ಅವರು ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಮಗಾಗಿ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಡು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. BSB BSB: When evening came, the disciples came to Him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the hour is already late. Dismiss the crowds so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”
16 ULB ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು, <<ಅವರು ಹೋಗುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ನೀವೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಕೊಡಿರಿ>> ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: “They do not need to go away,” Jesus replied. “You give them something to eat.”
17 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕವರು, <<ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಎರಡು ಮೀನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಇವೆ>> ಅನ್ನಲಾಗಿ, BSB BSB: “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.
18 ULB ಆತನು, <<ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಂದು ಕೊಡಿರಿ>> ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: “Bring them here to Me,” Jesus said.
19 ULB ತರುವಾಯ ಜನರ ಗುಂಪಿಗೆ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಆ ಐದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಎರಡು ಮೀನುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನೋಡಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಜನರ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. BSB BSB: And He directed the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He spoke a blessing. Then He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
20 ULB ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಊಟಮಾಡಿ ತೃಪ್ತರಾದರು. ಉಳಿದ ತುಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಲಾಗಿ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಪುಟ್ಟಿ ತುಂಬಿತು. BSB BSB: They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
21 ULB ಊಟಮಾಡಿದವರು ಹೆಂಗಸರೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಗಂಡಸರೇ ಸುಮಾರು ಐದು ಸಾವಿರವಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: About five thousand men were fed, besides women and children.
22 ULB ಇದಾದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಈ ಜನರ ಗುಂಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುವಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ನೀವು ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ನನಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಆಚೇದಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದನು. BSB BSB: Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of Him to the other side, while He dismissed the crowds.
23 ULB ಆತನು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಏಕಾಂಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿದನು. ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಜೆಯಾದಾಗ ಆತನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: After He had dismissed them, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. When evening came, He was there alone,
24 ULB ಆದರೆ ದೋಣಿಯು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ನಡುವೆಯಿತ್ತು, ಎದುರು ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅಲೆಗಳ ಬಡಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಯ್ದಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. BSB BSB: but the boat was already far from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 ULB ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ಜಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬಂದನು. BSB BSB: During the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went out to them, walking on the sea.
26 ULB ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು <<ಭೂತವೆಂದು>> ದಿಗಿಲುಬಿದ್ದು ಭಯದಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿದರು. BSB BSB: When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost!” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 ULB ಕೂಡಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, <<ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರಿ ನಾನೇ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: But Jesus spoke up at once: “Take courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”
30 ULB ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಮುಳುಗಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ, <<ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡು>> ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡನು. BSB BSB: But when he saw the strength of the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 ULB ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಯೇಸು ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, <<ಅಲ್ಪ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಿಯೇ ಏಕೆ ಸಂದೇಹ ಪಟ್ಟೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and took hold of Peter. “You of little faith,” He said, “why did you doubt?”
32 ULB ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಾಳಿ ನಿಂತು ಹೋಯಿತು. BSB BSB: And when they had climbed back into the boat, the wind died down.
34 ULB ಅವರು ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಗೆನೆಜರೇತ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ದಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. BSB BSB: When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret.
35 ULB ಆ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಜನರು ಆತನ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಆ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಸೀಮೆಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರಾದವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದರು. BSB BSB: And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding region. People brought all the sick to Him
36 ULB ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಉಡುಪಿನ ಅಂಚನ್ನಾದರೂ ಮುಟ್ಟಗೊಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರು, ಮತ್ತು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥರಾದರು. BSB BSB: and begged Him just to let them touch the fringe of His cloak. And all who touched Him were healed.
