3 ULB <<ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತೊಲೆಯನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಯೋಚಿಸುವೇ? BSB BSB: Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?
4 ULB ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ, <ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ ಬಾ> ಎಂದು ಏಕೆ ಹೇಳುವೇ? ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲೇ ತೊಲೆ ಇದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ. BSB BSB: How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye?
5 ULB ಕಪಟಿಯೇ! ಮೊದಲು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ ತೊಲೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದರೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸುವುದು. BSB BSB: You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 ULB <<ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದುದನ್ನು ನಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂದಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಚೆಲ್ಲಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಬಹುಶಃ ಅವು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತುಳಿದು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟಾವು. BSB BSB: Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
7 ULB <<ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ದೊರೆಯುವುದು; ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದು; ತಟ್ಟಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ತೆರೆಯುವುದು; BSB BSB: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
8 ULB ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಹೊಂದುವನು, ಹುಡುಕುವವನಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದು, ತಟ್ಟುವವನಿಗೆ ತೆರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು. BSB BSB: For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 ULB <<ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಕೇಳುವ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೋ? BSB BSB: Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
10 ULB ಮೀನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಹಾವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೋ? BSB BSB: Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?
11 ULB ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಾದ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬಲ್ಲವರಾದರೆ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನಲ್ಲವೇ? BSB BSB: So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
12 ULB ಅಂತು ಜನರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನೇನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರೋ ಅದನ್ನೇ ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಧರ್ಮಶಾಶ್ತ್ರದ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ತಾತ್ಪರ್ಯ ಇದೇ ಆಗಿದೆ. BSB BSB: In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets.
13 ULB <<ನಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಬಾಗಿಲು ದೊಡ್ಡದು, ದಾರಿ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದುದು; ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವವರು ಬಹು ಜನ. BSB BSB: Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14 ULB ನಿತ್ಯ ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟು, ದಾರಿ ಬಿಕ್ಕಟ್ಟು; ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುವವರು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾದ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಿಂದ ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ. BSB BSB: But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.
15 ULB <<ಕುರಿವೇಷ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಸುಳ್ಳುಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರಿ; ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವರು ಕಿತ್ತುತಿನ್ನುವ ತೋಳಗಳೇ. BSB BSB: Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
17 ULB ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯಮರಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವವು; ಹುಳುಕು ಮರವು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದು. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮರವು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾರದು; BSB BSB: Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 ULB ಹುಳುಕು ಮರವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾರದು. BSB BSB: A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
19 ULB ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. BSB BSB: Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 ULB ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಫಲಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ. BSB BSB: So then, by their fruit you will recognize them.
22 ULB ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ ಎಂದು ತಿರ್ಪಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಜನರು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವರು. BSB BSB: Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
23 ULB ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, <<ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗುರುತೇ ನನಗಿಲ್ಲ; ದುಷ್ಟತನ ಮಾಡುವ ನೀವು, ನನ್ನಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗಿರಿ,> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಬಿಡುವೆನು. BSB BSB: Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
24 ULB ಆದುದರಿಂದ, ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವವನು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ಹೋಲುವನು. BSB BSB: Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
25 ULB ಮನೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಯಿತು; ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಬಂದವು; ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿ ಆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಿತು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅದರ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅದು ಬೀಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock.
26 ULB ಆದರೆ ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಯೂ ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಮರಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಿಗೆ ಸಮನಾಗಿರುವನು. BSB BSB: But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
27 ULB ಮನೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಯಿತು; ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಬಂದವು; ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿ ಆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಿತು. ಆಗ ಆ ಮನೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕುಸಿದುಬಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಕುಸಿತ ಅಗಾಧವಾದುದು. BSB BSB: The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great was its collapse!”
28 ULB ಯೇಸು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಜನರ ಗುಂಪು ಆತನ ಉಪದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು. BSB BSB: When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were astonished at His teaching,
29 ULB ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳಂತೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸದೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿದ್ದವನಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: because He taught as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
