PBBR Ngalamanih kasih ge' gat'n ngate sungguh-sungguh karunia-karunia rohani, tarutama supae imu' kaat'n banubuat. BSB BSB: Earnestly pursue love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.
PBBR Sabab, asi da nyansana ka sadat'n bahasa rata', kati nyansana wak talino, tapi wak Jabata; karna kati ani sok da ngarati, tapi ni' muji' hal-hal da rahasia sadat'n roh. BSB BSB: For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries in the Spirit.
PBBR Tapi, sok da banubuat nyansana wak talino yak ngalumpat, nasihat, ge pangibur. BSB BSB: But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, encouragement, and comfort.
PBBR Ayo sok da nyansana ka sadat'n bahasa rata' ngalumpat adup'a sadi', tapi sok da banubuat ngalumpat jamaat. BSB BSB: The one who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but the one who prophesies edifies the church.
PBBR Iko' baharap imu' sama'an nyansana wak sadat'n bahasa-bahasa rata', tapi ngarabeh agi sapa'e imu' banubuat. Sok da banubuat rabeh aihyo' umpat'n sok da nyansana wak sadat'n bahasa rata', kacuali kalo' ni' uga ngarati'a singga jamaat kaat'n nganarima paneguh. BSB BSB: I wish that all of you could speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the church may be edified.
PBBR Ayo age, kalo iko' utungk' ka imu' ge nyansana ka sadat'n bahasa-bahasa roh, jai untong'a ka'imu, kacuali kalo iko' nyansana kaimu nige kanyata'a, kapane'a, nubuatan, ato pangajaran? BSB BSB: Now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?
PBBR Bakan, barang-barang da kati banyawa, samu' suleng ato kacapi da ngamungkas sarat'n, kalo kati ngamungkas ngalait'n sadat'n sarat'na, langkina sok ka'atn pane alat jai da jangkah gat'nmain, suleng ato kacapi? BSB BSB: Even in the case of lifeless instruments, such as the flute or harp, how will anyone recognize the tune they are playing unless the notes are distinct?
PBBR Ato, kalo tarumpet ngamungkas sarat'n da kati jalas, asidu' da aok' nganyiap adup yak baparang? BSB BSB: Again, if the trumpet sounds a muffled call, who will prepare for battle?
PBBR Ladakoh uga imu'. Kalo nige rata'Mu, imu' mangucap sarat'n-sarat'n da kati ka'atn gat'n ngarati, langkina sok pane jai gat'n nyarat'n? Saolah-olah imu' ngansana wak udara. BSB BSB: So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.
PBBR Mungkin, ani ladakoh karah jenis bahasa wak dunia ge' kati nyitengpun umpat'n'a da kati bamakna. BSB BSB: Assuredly, there are many different languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning.
PBBR Barang, kalo iko' kati pane arti bahasa dakoh, iko' aok jadi sok asing umpat'n ini' da nyansana, ge' sok da nyansana dakoh jadi sok asing bagiko.' BSB BSB: If, then, I do not know the meaning of someone’s language, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and he is a foreigner to me.
PBBR Damikian uga imu', karna imu' sungguh-sungguh barusaha ya' karunia-karunia rohani, barusahanih supae bakalimpahan ya' ngalumpat jamaat. BSB BSB: It is the same with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, strive to excel in gifts that build up the church.
PBBR Karna dakoh, hendaklah sok da nyansana wak sadat'n bahasa rata' badoa supae ini' kaat'n ngarati'a. BSB BSB: Therefore, the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret.
PBBR Sabab, kalo iko' badoa ka sadat'n bahasa rata', rohko' badoa, tapi pikiranko' kati barubah. BSB BSB: For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
PBBR Jadi, jailah da harus iko' bulah? Iko' aok badoa nige rohko' ge' iko' uga aok badoa nige pikiranko'. Iko' aok ngado nige rohko' ge' iko' uga aok ngado ge' pikiranko.' BSB BSB: What then shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.
PBBR Sa' imu' hanya mangucap syukur nige rohmu', langkina sok, da ani ka sadat'n posisi kati umpu karunia dakoh, kaat'n bakata, "Amin," ka samo ucapan syukurmu' dakoh karna ini' kati ngarati jai da imu' muji'? BSB BSB: Otherwise, if you speak a blessing in spirit, how can someone who is uninstructed say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying?
PBBR Nyakalipun imu' mangucap syukur nige bait, tapi sok lait'n kati gat'n ngalumpat. BSB BSB: You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other one is not edified.
PBBR Iko' basyukur ka Jabata kalo iko' nyansana ka sadat'n bahasa-bahasa rata' labih dari imu' samaan'a. BSB BSB: I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.
PBBR Barang, ka sadat'n jamaat, iko' labih bait nyansana lima kata nige pikiranko' supae iko' uga kaat'n mangajar sok lait'n, daripada sapuluh ribu kata ka sadat'n bahasa rata.' BSB BSB: But in the church, I would rather speak five coherent words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.
PBBR Ayo-age, iya' jadi ayo-kangot ka sadat'n pikiranmu'. Jadilah bayi-bayi ka sadat'n pamikiranmu' jadilah dewasa! BSB BSB: Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature.
PBBR Ulah gat'n nulis ka sadat'n Hukum Taurat, "Uleh ayo-sok da umpu bahasa asing ge' uleh baba ayo-sok asing, Iko' aok nyansana ka bangsa diah, tapi ayo'a kati aok dangah Iko', firman Tuhan." BSB BSB: It is written in the Law: “By strange tongues and foreign lips I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to Me, says the Lord.”
PBBR Jadi, bahasa-bahasa rata' diu'ta tande, inya ya' sok da kati pacaya, tapi ya' sok da pacaya. BSB BSB: Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers.
PBBR Sa' saluruh jamaat bakumpul bariuh ka sadat'n tampat, ge' samaan'a nyansana nige bahasa rata', lalu ani ayo-sok da kati ngarati ato ayo-sok kati pacaya maruh, kati'ta ayo'a aok muji' kalo imu ngalaka gila? BSB BSB: So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who are uninstructed or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds?
PBBR Barang, sa' samaan'a ba'nubuat, lakadakoh ani sok da kati pacaya ato sok da kati ngarati maruh, ini' aok gat'n nyadar uleh samaan'a. BSB BSB: But if an unbeliever or uninstructed person comes in while everyone is prophesying, he will be convicted and called to account by all,
PBBR Rahasia ka sadat'n ate'a aok nyata, ini' aok tadungkop, ge' nyambah Jabata, ngako' kalo sasungguh'a Jabata ani wak antara imu'. BSB BSB: and the secrets of his heart will be made known. So he will fall facedown and worship God, proclaiming, “God is truly among you!”
PBBR Jadi, salanjut'a langkina, Ayo-age? Sa' imu' bakumpul, masing-masing umpu mazmur, pangajaran, panyataan, bahasa rata, ato nyabuah panafsiran. Kate'a samaan diah gat'n bulah ya ngalumpat. BSB BSB: What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be done to build up the church.
PBBR Sa' ani da bahasa rata', kate'a hanya dua ato paling karah taru ungan, ge' masing-masing sacara bagantian, ge' harus ani sok lait'n da ngarati'a. BSB BSB: If anyone speaks in a tongue, two, or at most three, should speak in turn, and someone must interpret.
PBBR Barang, kalo kati ani sok da ngarati'a, ini' harus tunguh-tunguh ka sadat'n jamaat ge' kate'a ini' nyansana ka adup'a sadi ge' ka Jabata. BSB BSB: But if there is no interpreter, he should remain silent in the church and speak only to himself and God.
PBBR Kate'a hanya dua ato taru nabi da nyansana ge' da lait'n mampartimbang'a. BSB BSB: Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said.
PBBR Barang, kalo sa' panyataan gat'n bulah ya' sok lait'n da unyung ka dakoh, sok da partama harus tunguh-tunguh. BSB BSB: And if a revelation comes to someone who is seated, the first speaker should stop.
PBBR Sa', ayo kup'm samaan kaat'n banubuat nyiteng demi nyiteng, supae samaan'a kaat'n balajar ge' samaan'a kaat'n gat'n nguat. BSB BSB: For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.
PBBR Roh-roh para nabi tunduk ka para nabi. BSB BSB: The spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.
PBBR Sa' Jabata inyalah Jabata umpat'n kakacauan, malait'nkan dame sejahtera, samu ulah ka sadat'n samaan jamaat ayo-sok kudus. BSB BSB: For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace—as in all the churches of the saints.
PBBR Sa' ani sasuatu da ngate ayo'a palajari, kate'a ayo'a mansikat'n ka banun'a wak ramin karna diu'ta hal da manyangun mangkat'n mahu ya' nyansana ka sadat'n jamaat. BSB BSB: If they wish to inquire about something, they are to ask their own husbands at home; for it is dishonorable for a woman to speak in the church.
PBBR Jai'ta firman Jabata brasal umpat'n imu? Ato, jai'ta hanya ka'imusadi firman dakoh gat'n nyampe? BSB BSB: Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only ones it has reached?
PBBR Sa' ani da bapikir kalo ini' diu'ta ayo sook nabi ato sok da rohani, kate'a ini' nganal kalo hal-hal da iko' nulis ka'imu diu'ta parintah Tuhan. BSB BSB: If anyone considers himself a prophet or spiritual person, let him acknowledge that what I am writing you is the Lord’s command.
PBBR Sa' ani sok da kati nganal diah, ini' kati gat'n nganal. BSB BSB: But if anyone ignores this, he himself will be ignored.
PBBR Jadi, Ayo-ageko', da ngusahalah nige sungguh-sungguh ya' banubuat, ge' iya' mingat sok nyansana ka sadat'n bahasa-bahasa rata.' BSB BSB: So, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
PBBR Barang, samaan'a harus gat'n bulah nige sopan ge tarator. BSB BSB: But everything must be done in a proper and orderly manner.
