7അവനോടുകൂടെ പ്രയാണം ചെയ്ത പുരുഷന്മാർ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു എങ്കിലും ആരെയും കാണാതെ മരവിച്ചു നിന്നു.The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless. They heard the voice but did not see anyone.

8ശൗൽ നിലത്തുനിന്നു എഴുന്നേറ്റു കണ്ണു തുറന്നാറെ ഒന്നും കണ്ടില്ല; അവർ അവനെ കൈക്കു പിടിച്ചു ദമസ്കൊസിൽ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി;Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could not see a thing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus.

9അവൻ മൂന്നു ദിവസം കണ്ണു കാണാതെയും തിന്നുകയോ കുടിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെയും ഇരുന്നു.For three days he was without sight, and he did not eat or drink anything.

12അവൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു; അനന്യാസ് എന്നൊരു പുരുഷൻ അകത്തു വന്നു താൻ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്റെ മേൽ കൈ വെക്കുന്നതു അവൻ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”

14ഇവിടെയും നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവരെ ഒക്കെയും പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടുവാൻ അവന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ അധികാരപത്രം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.And now he is here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on Your name.”

15കർത്താവു അവനോടു: നീ പോക; അവൻ എന്റെ നാമം ജാതികൾക്കും രാജാക്കന്മാർക്കും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കും മുമ്പിൽ വഹിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നൊരു പാത്രം ആകുന്നു.“Go!” said the Lord. “This man is My chosen instrument to carry My name before the Gentiles and their kings, and before the people of Israel.

17അങ്ങനെ അനന്യാസ് ആ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു അവന്റെമേൽ കൈ വെച്ചു: ശൗലേ, സഹോദരാ, നീ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മപൂർണ്ണൻ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ വന്ന വഴിയിൽ നിനക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായ യേശു എന്ന കർത്താവു എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.So Ananias went to the house, and when he arrived, he placed his hands on Saul. “Brother Saul,” he said, “the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

18ഉടനെ അവന്റെ കണ്ണിൽ നിന്നു ചെതുമ്പൽപോലെ വീണു; കാഴ്ച ലഭിച്ചു അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു സ്നാനം ഏൽക്കയും ആഹാരം കൈക്കൊണ്ടു ബലം പ്രാപിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.At that instant, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and his sight was restored. He got up and was baptized,

19അവൻ ദമസ്കൊസിലുള്ള ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു കൂടെ കുറെനാൾ പാർത്തു,and after taking some food, he regained his strength. And he spent several days with the disciples in Damascus.

20യേശു തന്നേ ദൈവപുത്രൻ എന്നു പള്ളികളിൽ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.Saul promptly began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, declaring, “He is the Son of God.”

21കേട്ടവർ എല്ലാവരും വിസ്മയിച്ചു: യെരൂശലേമിൽ ഈ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർക്കു നാശം ചെയ്തവൻ ഇവനല്ലയോ? ഇവിടെയും അവരെ പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടി മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാനല്ലോ വന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.All who heard him were astounded and asked, “Isn’t this the man who wreaked havoc in Jerusalem on those who call on this name? And hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

22ശൗലോ മേല്ക്കുമേൽ ശക്തിപ്രാപിച്ചു, യേശു തന്നേ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു തെളിയിച്ചു ദമസ്കൊസിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരെ മിണ്ടാതാക്കി.But Saul was empowered all the more, and he confounded the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ.

23കുറെനാൾ കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ ആലോചിച്ചു.After many days had passed, the Jews conspired to kill him,

24ശൗൽ അവരുടെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടു അറിഞ്ഞു; അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അവർ രാവും പകലും നഗര ഗോപുരങ്ങളിൽ കാവൽ വെച്ചു.but Saul learned of their plot. Day and night they watched the city gates in order to kill him.

25എന്നാൽ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ രാത്രിയിൽ അവനെ ഒരു കൊട്ടയിലാക്കി മതിൽവഴിയായി ഇറക്കിവിട്ടു.One night, however, his disciples took him and lowered him in a basket through a window in the wall.

26അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ എത്തിയാറെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു ചേരുവാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ അവൻ ഒരു ശിഷ്യൻ എന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കാതെ എല്ലാവരും അവനെ പേടിച്ചു.When Saul arrived in Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.

27ബർന്നബാസോ അവനെ കൂട്ടി അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു; അവൻ വഴിയിൽ വെച്ചു കർത്താവിനെ കണ്ടതും കർത്താവു അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചതും ദമസ്കൊസിൽ അവൻ യേശുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യത്തോടെ പ്രസംഗിച്ചതും എല്ലാം അവരോടു വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.Then Barnabas brought him to the apostles and described how Saul had seen the Lord, who had spoken to him on the road to Damascus, and how Saul had spoken boldly in that city in the name of Jesus.

28പിന്നെ അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ അവരുമായി പെരുമാറുകയും കർത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യത്തോടെ പ്രസംഗിക്കയും ചെയ്തു പോന്നു.So Saul stayed with them, moving about freely in Jerusalem and speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.

29യവനഭാഷക്കാരായ യെഹൂദന്മാരോടും അവൻ സംഭാഷിച്ചു തർക്കിച്ചു; അവരോ അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ വട്ടംകൂട്ടി.He talked and debated with the Grecian Jews, but they tried to kill him.

30സഹോദരന്മാർ അതു അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ കൈസര്യയിലേക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി, അവിടെനിന്നു തർസൊസിലേക്കു അയച്ചു.When the brothers learned of this, they took him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.

31അങ്ങനെ യെഹൂദ്യാ, ഗലീല, ശമര്യ എന്നീ ദേശങ്ങളിൽ ഒക്കെയും സഭെക്കു സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടായി, അതു ആത്മികവർദ്ധന പ്രാപിച്ചും കർത്താവിനോടുള്ള ഭക്തിയിലും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെ പ്രബോധനയിലും നടന്നും പെരുകിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria experienced a time of peace. It grew in strength and numbers, living in the fear of the Lord and the encouragement of the Holy Spirit.

32പത്രൊസ് എല്ലാടവും സഞ്ചരിക്കയിൽ ലുദ്ദയിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു,As Peter traveled throughout the area, he went to visit the saints in Lydda.

33അവിടെ പക്ഷവാതം പിടിച്ചു എട്ടു സംവത്സരമായി കിടപ്പിൽ ആയിരുന്ന ഐനെയാസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യനെ കണ്ടു.There he found a man named Aeneas who had been paralyzed and bedridden for eight years.

34പത്രൊസ് അവനോടു: ഐനെയാസേ, യേശുക്രിസ്തു നിന്നെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കുന്നു; എഴുന്നേറ്റു താനായി തന്നേ കിടക്ക വിരിച്ചുകൊൾക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഉടനെ അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു.“Aeneas,” Peter said to him, “Jesus Christ heals you! Get up and put away your mat.” Immediately Aeneas got up,

35ലുദ്ദയിലും ശാരോനിലും പാർക്കുന്നവർ എല്ലാവരും അവനെ കണ്ടു കർത്താവിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു.and all who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.

36യോപ്പയിൽ പേടമാൻ എന്നർത്ഥമുള്ള തബീഥാ എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു ശിഷ്യ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൾ വളരെ സൽപ്രവൃത്തികളും ധർമ്മങ്ങളും ചെയ്തുപോന്നവളായിരുന്നു.In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which is translated as Dorcas), who was always occupied with works of kindness and charity.

37ആ കാലത്ത് അവൾ ദീനം പിടിച്ചു മരിച്ചു; അവർ അവളെ കുളിപ്പിച്ചു ഒരു മാളികമുറിയിൽ കിടത്തി.At that time, however, she became sick and died, and her body was washed and placed in an upper room.

On his arrival, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood around him, weeping and showing him the tunics and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them.

He knelt down and prayed, and turning toward her body, he said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up.

42ഇതു യോപ്പയിൽ എങ്ങും പ്രസിദ്ധമായി,This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord.
