1നിങ്ങൾ ഇടറിപ്പോകാതിരിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.“I have told you these things so that you will not fall away.

7എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു സത്യം പറയുന്നു; ഞാൻ പോകുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രയോജനം; ഞാൻ പോകാഞ്ഞാൽ കാര്യസ്ഥൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരികയില്ല; ഞാൻ പോയാൽ അവനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയക്കും.But I tell you the truth, it is for your benefit that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

8അവൻ വന്നു പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും നീതിയെക്കുറിച്ചും ന്യായവിധിയെക്കുറിച്ചും ലോകത്തിന്നു ബോധം വരുത്തും.And when He comes, He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:

9അവർ എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുംin regard to sin, because they do not believe in Me;

10ഞാൻ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകയും നിങ്ങൾ ഇനി എന്നെ കാണാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടുin regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me;

11നീതിയെക്കുറിച്ചും ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭു വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ന്യായവിധിയെക്കുറിച്ചും തന്നേ.and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world has been condemned.

12ഇനിയും വളരെ നിങ്ങളോടു പറവാൻ ഉണ്ടു; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഇപ്പോൾ വഹിപ്പാൻ കഴിവില്ല.I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it.

For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come.

14അവൻ എനിക്കുള്ളതിൽനിന്നു എടുത്തു നിങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയിച്ചുതരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you.

15പിതാവിന്നുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും എനിക്കുള്ളതു; അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ അവൻ എനിക്കുള്ളതിൽ നിന്നു എടുത്തു നിങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയിച്ചുതരും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതു.Everything that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will take from what is Mine and disclose it to you.

16കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കാണും.In a little while you will see Me no more, and then after a little while you will see Me.”

20ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ കരഞ്ഞു വിലപിക്കും; ലോകമോ സന്തോഷിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖിക്കും; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുഃഖം സന്തോഷമായിത്തീരും.Truly, truly, I tell you, you will weep and wail while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.

23അന്നു നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോടു ഒന്നും ചോദിക്കയില്ല. ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ പിതാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും അവൻ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തരും.In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

24ഇന്നുവരെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഒന്നും അപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; അപേക്ഷിപ്പിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തോഷം പൂർണ്ണമാകുംവണ്ണം നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിക്കും.Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.

25ഇതു ഞാൻ സദൃശമായി നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ഇനി സദൃശമായി നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കാതെ പിതാവിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു സ്പഷ്ടമായി നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിക്കുന്ന നാഴിക വരുന്നു.I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. An hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you this way, but will tell you plainly about the Father.

26അന്നു നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അപേക്ഷിക്കും; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി പിതാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നില്ല.In that day you will ask in My name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.

27നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു, ഞാൻ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു പിതാവുതാനും നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God.

28ഞാൻ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെയും ലോകത്തെ വിട്ടു പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുന്നു.I came from the Father and entered the world. In turn, I will leave the world and go to the Father.”

29അതിന്നു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ: ഇപ്പോൾ നീ സദൃശം ഒന്നും പറയാതെ സ്പഷ്ടമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.His disciples said, “See, now You are speaking plainly and without figures of speech.

30നീ സകലവും അറിയുന്നു എന്നും ആരും നിന്നോടു ചോദിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു ആവശ്യം ഇല്ല എന്നും ഞങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ അറിയുന്നു; ഇതിനാൽ നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.Now we understand that You know all things and that You have no need for anyone to question You. Because of this, we believe that You came from God.”

31യേശു അവരോടു: ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ?“Do you finally believe?” Jesus replied.

32നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ സ്വന്തത്തിലേക്കു ചിതറിപ്പോകയും എന്നെ ഏകനായി വിടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന നാഴിക വരുന്നു; വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു; പിതാവു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ഏകനല്ല താനും.“Look, an hour is coming and has already come when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave Me all alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

33നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്നിൽ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ലോകത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും ധൈര്യപ്പെടുവിൻ; ഞാൻ ലോകത്തെ ജയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”
