Luke 24 (MAL10)

1അവർ ഒരുക്കിയ സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം എടുത്തു ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം ദിവസം അതികാലത്തു കല്ലറെക്കൽ എത്തി,On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared.

2കല്ലറയിൽ നിന്നു കല്ലു ഉരുട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞതായി കണ്ടു.They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,

3അകത്തു കടന്നാറെ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം കണ്ടില്ല.but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

4അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവർ ചഞ്ചലിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മിന്നുന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാർ അരികെ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.While they were puzzling over this, suddenly two men in radiant apparel stood beside them.

5ഭയപ്പെട്ടു മുഖം കുനിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ജീവനുള്ളവനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?As the women bowed their faces to the ground in terror, the two men asked them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?

6അവൻ ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല, ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു;He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee:

7മുമ്പെ ഗലീലയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു: മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ പാപികളായ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു ക്രൂശിക്കയും അവൻ മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും വേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു ഓർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.’”

8അവർ അവന്റെ വാക്കു ഓർത്തു,Then they remembered His words.

9കല്ലറ വിട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി പതിനൊരുവർ മുതലായ എല്ലാവരോടും ഇതു ഒക്കെയും അറിയിച്ചു.And when they returned from the tomb, they reported all these things to the Eleven and to all the others.

10അവർ ആരെന്നാൽ മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ, യോഹന്നാ, യാക്കോബിന്റെ അമ്മ മറിയ എന്നവർ തന്നേ. അവരോടുകൂടെയുള്ള മറ്റു സ്ത്രീകളും അതു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told this to the apostles.

11ഈ വാക്കു അവർക്കു വെറും കഥപോലെ തോന്നി; അവരെ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.But their words seemed like nonsense to them, and they did not believe the women.

12എന്നാൽ പത്രൊസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു കല്ലറെക്കൽ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു കുനിഞ്ഞു നോക്കി, തുണി മാത്രം കണ്ടു, സംഭവിച്ചതെന്തെന്നു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. And after bending down and seeing only the linen cloths, he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.

13അന്നു തന്നേ അവരിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു ഏഴു നാഴിക ദൂരമുള്ള എമ്മവുസ്സ് എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു പോകയിൽThat same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.

14ഈ സംഭവിച്ചതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒക്കെയും തമ്മിൽ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.They were talking with each other about everything that had happened.

15സംസാരിച്ചും തർക്കിച്ചും കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു താനും അടുത്തുചെന്നു അവരോടു ചേർന്നുനടന്നു.And as they talked and deliberated, Jesus Himself came up and walked along with them.

16അവനെ അറിയാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ കണ്ണു നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു.But their eyes were kept from recognizing Him.

17അവൻ അവരോടു:നിങ്ങൾ വഴിനടന്നു തമ്മിൽ വാദിക്കുന്ന ഈ കാര്യം എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; അവർ വാടിയ മുഖത്തോടെ നിന്നു.He asked them, “What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?” They stood still, with sadness on their faces.

18ക്ലെയൊപ്പാവു എന്നു പേരുള്ളവൻ; യെരൂശലേമിലെ പരദേശികളിൽ നീ മാത്രം ഈ നാളുകളിൽ അവിടെ സംഭവിച്ച കാര്യം അറിയാതിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.One of them, named Cleopas, asked Him, “Are You the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in recent days?”

19ഏതു എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ദൈവത്തിന്നും സകലജനത്തിനും മുമ്പാകെ പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും വാക്കിലും ശക്തിയുള്ള പ്രവാചകനായിരുന്ന നസറായനായ യേശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതു തന്നേ.“What things?” He asked. “The events involving Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered. “This man was a prophet, powerful in speech and action before God and all the people.

20നമ്മുടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രമാണികളും അവനെ മരണവിധിക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചു ക്രൂശിച്ചു.Our chief priests and rulers delivered Him up to the sentence of death, and they crucified Him.

21ഞങ്ങളോ അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പാനുള്ളവൻ എന്നു ആശിച്ചിരുന്നു; അത്രയുമല്ല, ഇതു സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടു ഇന്നു മൂന്നാം നാൾ ആകുന്നു.But we were hoping He was the One who would redeem Israel. And besides all this, it is the third day since these things took place.

22ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ചില സ്ത്രീകൾ രാവിലെ കല്ലറെക്കൽ പോയിFurthermore, some of our women astounded us. They were at the tomb early this morning,

24ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ചിലർ കല്ലറക്കൽ ചെന്നു സ്ത്രീകൾ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ തന്നേ കണ്ടു; അവനെ കണ്ടില്ലതാനും.Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had described. But Him they did not see.”

25അവൻ അവരോടു:“അയ്യോ, ബുദ്ധിഹീനരേ, പ്രവാചകന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം വിശ്വസിക്കാത്ത മന്ദബുദ്ധികളേ,Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

26ക്രിസ്തു ഇങ്ങനെ കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിച്ചിട്ടു തന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിൽ കടക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and then to enter His glory?”

27മോശെ തുടങ്ങി സകലപ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ നിന്നും എല്ലാതിരുവെഴുത്തുകളിലും തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതു അവർക്കു വ്യാഖ്യാനിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all the Scriptures about Himself.

28അവർ പോകുന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തോടു അടുത്തപ്പോൾ അവൻ മുമ്പോട്ടു പോകുന്ന ഭാവം കാണിച്ചു.As they approached the village where they were headed, He seemed to be going farther.

29അവരോ: ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പാർക്കുക; നേരം വൈകി അസ്തമിപ്പാറായല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നിർബന്ധിച്ചു; അവൻ അവരോടുകൂടെ പാർപ്പാൻ ചെന്നു.But they pleaded with Him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So He went in to stay with them.

30അവരുമായി ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അപ്പം എടുത്തു അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നുറുക്കി അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു.While He was reclining at the table with them, He took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to them.

31ഉടനെ അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു അവർ അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞു; അവൻ അവർക്കു അപ്രത്യക്ഷനായിThen their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus—and He disappeared from their sight.

32അവൻ വഴിയിൽ നമ്മോടു സംസാരിച്ചു തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ തെളിയിക്കുമ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയം നമ്മുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us as He spoke with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

33ആ നാഴികയിൽ തന്നേ അവർ എഴുന്നേറ്റു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, gathered together

34കർത്താവു വാസ്തവമായി ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിമോന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നു കൂടിയിരുന്നു പറയുന്ന പതിനൊരുവരെയും കൂടെയുള്ളവരെയും കണ്ടു.and saying, “The Lord has indeed risen and has appeared to Simon!”

35വഴിയിൽ സംഭവിച്ചതും അവൻ അപ്പം നുറുക്കുകയിൽ തങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയായ്വന്നതും അവർ വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.Then the two told what had happened on the road, and how they had recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread.

36ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ നിന്നു: നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമാധാനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.While they were describing these events, Jesus Himself stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

37അവർ ഞെട്ടി ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; ഒരു ഭൂതത്തെ കാണുന്നു എന്നു അവർക്കു തോന്നി.But they were startled and frightened, thinking they had seen a spirit.

38അവൻ അവരോടു:നിങ്ങൾ കലങ്ങുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ സംശയം പൊങ്ങുന്നതും എന്തു?“Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

39ഞാൻ തന്നെ ആകുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ കയ്യും കാലും നോക്കി അറിവിൻ; എന്നെ തൊട്ടുനോക്കുവിൻ; എന്നിൽ കാണുന്നതുപോലെ ഭൂതത്തിന്നു മാംസവും അസ്ഥിയും ഇല്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself. Touch Me and see—for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

40ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ കയ്യും കാലും അവരെ കാണിച്ചു.And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and feet.

41അവർ സന്തോഷത്താൽ വിശ്വസിക്കാതെ അതിശയിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരോടു:തിന്നുവാൻ വല്ലതും ഇവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പക്കൽ ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.While they were still in disbelief because of their joy and amazement, He asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

42അവർ ഒരു ഖണ്ഡം വറുത്ത മീനും തേൻകട്ടയും അവന്നു കൊടുത്തു.So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish,

43അതു അവൻ വാങ്ങി അവർ കാൺകെ തിന്നു.and He took it and ate it in front of them.

44പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരോടു:ഇതാകുന്നു നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു. മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലും പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളിലും സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങളിലും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും നിവൃത്തിയാകേണം എന്നുള്ളതു തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുJesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.”

45തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ തിരിച്ചറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിയെ തുറന്നു.Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.

46ക്രിസ്തു കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കയും മൂന്നാം നാൾ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയുംAnd He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

47അവന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ മാനസാന്തരവും പാപമോചനവും യെരൂശലേമിൽ തുടങ്ങി സകലജാതികളിലും പ്രസംഗിക്കയും വേണം എന്നിങ്ങനെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.and in His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.

48ഇതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.You are witnesses of these things.

49എന്റെ പിതാവു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതിനെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ അയക്കും. നിങ്ങളോ ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്നു ശക്തി ധരിക്കുവോളം നഗരത്തിൽ പാർപ്പിൻ എന്നും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But remain in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

50അനന്തരം അവൻ അവരെ ബേഥാന്യയോളം കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൈ ഉയർത്തി അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.When Jesus had led them out as far as Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them.

51അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയിൽ അവൻ അവരെ വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു സ്വർഗ്ഗാരോഹണം ചെയ്തു.While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.

52അവർ അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു മഹാസന്തോഷത്തോടെ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നുAnd they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

53എല്ലായ്പോഴും ദൈവലായത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു ദൈവത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തിപ്പോന്നു.praising God continually in the temple.
