BSB BSB: When Rehoboam arrived in Jerusalem, he mobilized the house of Judah and Benjamin—180,000 chosen warriors—to fight against Israel and restore the kingdom to Rehoboam.

4 ULB ‘നിങ്ങൾ പുറപ്പെടുകയോ നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരോട് യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുകയോ അരുത്; ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകുവിൻ; ഈ കാര്യം എന്റെ ഹിതത്താൽ സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു’ എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.” അവർ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് അനുസരിച്ച് യൊരോബെയാമിനെ ആക്രമിക്കാതെ മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി. 15 ULB ലേവ്യർ തങ്ങളുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും അവകാശങ്ങളും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് യഹൂദയിലേക്കും യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കും വന്നു. BSB BSB: And Jeroboam appointed his own priests for the high places and for the goat demons and calf idols he had made.

BSB BSB: Those from every tribe of Israel who had set their hearts to seek the LORD their God followed the Levites to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the LORD, the God of their fathers.
17 ULB ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ദാവീദിന്റെയും ശലോമോന്റെയും വഴികളിൽ നടന്ന് മൂന്നു സംവത്സരത്തോളം യെഹൂദാരാജ്യത്തിന് ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തുകയും ശലോമോന്റെ മകനായ രെഹബെയാമിനെ ബലപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. BSB BSB: So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah and supported Rehoboam son of Solomon for three years, because they walked for three years in the way of David and Solomon.
18 ULB രെഹബെയാം ദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ യെരീമോത്തിന്റെ മകളായ മഹലാത്തിനെയും യിശ്ശായിയുടെ മകനായ എലീയാബിന്റെ മകളായ അബീഹയീലിനെയും വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു. BSB BSB: And Rehoboam married Mahalath, who was the daughter of David’s son Jerimoth and of Abihail, the daughter of Jesse’s son Eliab.

In all, he had eighteen wives and sixty concubines, and he was the father of twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.

He gave them abundant provisions and sought many wives for them.
