BSB BSB: Then we turned back and headed for the wilderness by way of the Red Sea, as the LORD had instructed me, and for many days we wandered around Mount Seir.

4 ULB നീ ജനത്തോട് കല്പിക്കേണ്ടത് എന്തെന്നാൽ: “സേയീരിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ മക്കളായ നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ അതിരിൽകൂടി നിങ്ങൾ കടപ്പാൻ പോകുന്നു. അവർ നിങ്ങളെ പേടിക്കും; ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റവും അധികം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം. BSB BSB: and command the people: ‘You will pass through the territory of your brothers, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, so you must be very careful.

BSB BSB: Do not provoke them, for I will not give you any of their land, not even a footprint, because I have given Mount Seir to Esau as his possession.
6 ULB നിങ്ങൾ അവരോട് ആഹാരം വിലയ്ക്ക് വാങ്ങി കഴിക്കേണം; വെള്ളവും വിലയ്ക്ക് വാങ്ങി കുടിക്കേണം. BSB BSB: You are to pay them in silver for the food you eat and the water you drink.’”
7 ULB നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ കൈകളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ മഹാമരുഭൂമിയിൽ നീ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നത് അവൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ നാല്പത് സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു; നിനക്ക് യാതൊന്നിനും കുറവ് വന്നിട്ടില്ല.“ BSB BSB: Indeed, the LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. The LORD your God has been with you these forty years, and you have lacked nothing.
8 ULB അങ്ങനെ നാം സേയീരിൽ പാർത്തിരുന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ മക്കളായ നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ ഒഴിവാക്കി, അരാബവഴിയായി, ഏലാത്തിന്റെയും എസ്യോൻ-ഗേബെരിന്റെയും അരികത്തുകൂടി കടന്ന്,വീണ്ടും തിരിഞ്ഞ് മോവാബ് മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയായി യാത്ര ചെയ്തു. BSB BSB: So we passed by our brothers, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. We turned away from the Arabah road, which comes up from Elath and Ezion-geber, and traveled along the road of the Wilderness of Moab.

They destroyed the Horites from before them and settled in their place, just as Israel did in the land that the LORD gave them as their possession.)
13 ULB ഇപ്പോൾ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് സേരെദ് തോട് കടപ്പീൻ എന്ന് യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചപ്പോൾ നാം സേരെദ് തോട് കടന്നു; BSB BSB: “Now arise and cross over the Brook of Zered.” So we crossed over the Brook of Zered.
14 ULB നാം കാദേശ് ബർന്നേയയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടതുമുതൽ സേരെദ് തോടു കടക്കുംവരെയുള്ള കാലം മുപ്പത്തെട്ട് സംവത്സരം ആയിരുന്നു; അതിനിടയിൽ യോദ്ധാക്കളായിരുന്ന തലമുറ മുഴുവൻ യഹോവ അവരെക്കുറിച്ച് സത്യം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ പാളയത്തിൽനിന്ന് നശിച്ചുപോയി. BSB BSB: The time we spent traveling from Kadesh-barnea until we crossed over the Brook of Zered was thirty-eight years, until that entire generation of fighting men had perished from the camp, as the LORD had sworn to them.

17 ULB യഹോവ എന്നോട് കല്പിച്ചത്: BSB BSB: the LORD said to me,
18 ULB നീ ഇന്ന് ആർ എന്ന മോവാബ്യദേശത്തുകൂടി കടപ്പാൻ പോകുന്നു. BSB BSB: “Today you are going to cross the border of Moab at Ar.
20 ULB അതും മല്ലന്മാരുടെ ദേശമെന്ന് വിചാരിച്ചുവരുന്നു; മല്ലന്മാർ പണ്ട് അവിടെ പാർത്തിരുന്നു; അമ്മോന്യർ അവരെ സംസുമ്മ്യർ എന്ന് പറയുന്നു. BSB BSB: (That too was regarded as the land of the Rephaim, who used to live there, though the Ammonites called them Zamzummites.

BSB BSB: They were a people great and many, as tall as the Anakites. But the LORD destroyed them from before the Ammonites, who drove them out and settled in their place,
22 ULB യഹോവ സേയീരിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ മക്കൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്തതുപോലെ തന്നേ, അവൻ ഹോര്യരെ അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് നശിപ്പിച്ചു. അവർ അവരുടെ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കി ഇന്നുവരെ അവിടെ പാർക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: just as He had done for the descendants of Esau who lived in Seir, when He destroyed the Horites from before them. They drove them out and have lived in their place to this day.

27 ULB “ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു കൂടി കടന്നുപോകുവാൻ അനുവദിക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ മാറാതെ പെരുവഴിയിൽകൂടി മാത്രം നടക്കും. BSB BSB: “Let us pass through your land; we will stay on the main road. We will not turn to the right or to the left.
28 ULB സേയീരിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ മക്കളും ആരിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന മോവാബ്യരും എനിക്ക് തന്നതുപോലെ നീ വിലയ്ക്ക് തരുന്ന ആഹാരം ഞാൻ കഴിക്കയും വിലയ്ക്ക് തരുന്ന വെള്ളം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്തുകൊള്ളാം. BSB BSB: You can sell us food to eat and water to drink in exchange for silver. Only let us pass through on foot,
29 ULB യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്ന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് തരുന്ന ദേശത്ത് എത്തുവോളം കാൽനടയായി പോകുവാൻ മാത്രം അനുവദിക്കേണം“എന്ന് പറയിച്ചു. BSB BSB: just as the descendants of Esau who live in Seir and the Moabites who live in Ar did for us, until we cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD our God is giving us.”
30 ULB എന്നാൽ നാം തന്റെ ദേശത്തുകൂടി കടന്നുപോകുവാൻ ഹെശ്ബോനിലെ രാജാവായ സീഹോൻ സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല; ഇന്ന് കാണുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവനെ നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവന്റെ മനസ്സും ഹൃദയവും കഠിനമാക്കി. BSB BSB: But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass through, for the LORD your God had made his spirit stubborn and his heart obstinate, that He might deliver him into your hand, as is the case this day.
31 ULB യഹോവ എന്നോട്: “ഞാൻ സീഹോനെയും അവന്റെ ദേശത്തെയും നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന് അത് കീഴടക്കുവാൻ തുടങ്ങുക“എന്ന് കല്പിച്ചു. BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to me, “See, I have begun to deliver Sihon and his land over to you. Now begin to conquer and possess his land.”
32 ULB അങ്ങനെ സീഹോനും അവന്റെ സർവ്വജനവും നമ്മുടെനേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്ന് യാഹാസിൽവെച്ച് യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു. BSB BSB: So Sihon and his whole army came out for battle against us at Jahaz.
33 ULB നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവനെ നമ്മുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു; നാം അവനെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും അവന്റെ സർവ്വജനത്തെയും സംഹരിച്ചു. BSB BSB: And the LORD our God delivered him over to us, and we defeated him and his sons and his whole army.
34 ULB അക്കാലത്ത് നാം അവന്റെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളും പിടിച്ച്, പട്ടണംതോറും പുരുഷന്മാരെയും സ്ത്രീകളെയും കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും ഉന്മൂലനാശം ചെയ്തു; ഒരുത്തനെയും ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചില്ല. BSB BSB: At that time we captured all his cities and devoted to destruction the people of every city, including women and children. We left no survivors.
35 ULB നാം പിടിച്ച പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ നാൽക്കാലികളെയും കൊള്ളയും മാത്രം നാം നമുക്കായിട്ട് എടുത്തു. BSB BSB: We carried off for ourselves only the livestock and the plunder from the cities we captured.
36 ULB അർന്നോൻ താഴ്വരയുടെ അറ്റത്തുള്ള അരോവേരും താഴ്വരയിലെ പട്ടണവും മുതൽ ഗിലെയാദ് വരെ നമുക്ക് കൈവശമാക്കാൻ കഴിയാഞ്ഞ ഒരു പട്ടണവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ സകലവും നമ്മുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു. BSB BSB: From Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the valley, even as far as Gilead, not one city had walls too high for us. The LORD our God gave us all of them.
37 ULB അമ്മോന്യരുടെ ദേശവും യബ്ബോക്ക്നദിയുടെ ഒരു വശത്തുള്ള സ്ഥലങ്ങളും മലനാട്ടിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വിലക്ക് കൽപ്പിച്ച ഇടങ്ങളും മാത്രം നീ ആക്രമിച്ചില്ല. BSB BSB: But you did not go near the land of the Ammonites, or the land along the banks of the Jabbok River, or the cities of the hill country, or any place that the LORD our God had forbidden.
