Deuteronomy 3 (ULB)

1അനന്തരം നാം തിരിഞ്ഞ് ബാശാനിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയിലൂടെ പോയി; അപ്പോൾ ബാശാൻരാജാവായ ഓഗും അവന്റെ സർവ്വജനവും നമ്മുടെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ട് എദ്രെയിൽവെച്ച് യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു.Then we turned and went up the road to Bashan, and Og king of Bashan and his whole army came out to meet us in battle at Edrei.

2അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ എന്നോട്: “അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടരുത്; ഞാൻ അവനെയും അവന്റെ സർവ്വജനത്തെയും ദേശത്തെയും നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു: ഹെശ്ബോനിൽ പാർത്തിരുന്ന അമോര്യരാജാവായ സീഹോനോട് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ അവനോടും ചെയ്യും” എന്ന് കല്പിച്ചു.But the LORD said to me, “Do not fear him, for I have delivered him into your hand, along with all his people and his land. Do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon.”

3അങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ബാശാൻരാജാവായ ഓഗിനെയും അവന്റെ സകലജനത്തെയും നമ്മുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു; ആരും ശേഷിക്കാതെ നാം അവരെ സംഹരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.So the LORD our God also delivered Og king of Bashan and his whole army into our hands. We struck them down until no survivor was left.

There was not a single city we failed to take—the entire region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

6ഹെശ്ബോൻ രാജാവായ സീഹോനോട് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നാം അവയെ നിർമ്മൂലമാക്കി; പട്ടണംതോറും പുരുഷന്മാരെയും സ്ത്രീകളെയും കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും നശിപ്പിച്ചു.We devoted them to destruction, as we had done to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children of every city.

7എന്നാൽ നാൽക്കാലികൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ സമ്പത്തെല്ലാം നാം കൊള്ളയിട്ടു.But all the livestock and plunder of the cities we carried off for ourselves.

8ഇങ്ങനെ അക്കാലത്ത് അമോര്യരുടെ രണ്ടു രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെയും കയ്യിൽനിന്ന് യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ അർന്നോൻതാഴ്വരതുടങ്ങി ഹെർമ്മോൻപർവ്വതംവരെയുള്ള ദേശവും-At that time we took from the two kings of the Amorites the land across the Jordan, from the Arnon Valley as far as Mount Hermon—

9സീദോന്യർ ഹെർമ്മോന് സീര്യോൻ എന്നും അമോര്യർ അതിന് സെനീർ എന്നും പേർ പറയുന്നു-which the Sidonians call Sirion but the Amorites call Senir—

10സമഭൂമിയിലെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളും ഗിലെയാദ് മുഴുവനും ബാശാനിലെ ഓഗിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തുള്ള സൽക്കാ, എദ്രെയി എന്നീ പട്ടണങ്ങൾവരെയുള്ള ബാശാൻ മുഴുവനും നാം പിടിച്ചടക്കി.-all the cities of the plateau, all of Gilead, and all of Bashan as far as the cities of Salecah and Edrei in the kingdom of Og.

11ബാശാൻരാജാവായ ഓഗ് മാത്രമേ മല്ലന്മാരിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നുള്ളു; ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടുള്ള അവന്റെ കട്ടിൽ അമ്മോന്യനഗരമായ രബ്ബയിൽ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ? അതിന് ഒമ്പത് മുഴം നീളവും നാല് മുഴം വീതിയും ഉണ്ട്.-(For only Og king of Bashan had remained of the remnant of the Rephaim. His bed of iron, nine cubits long and four cubits wide, is still in Rabbah of the Ammonites.)

To the Reubenites and Gadites I gave the land beyond Aroer along the Arnon Valley, and half the hill country of Gilead, along with its cities.

13ഗിലെയാദിന്റെ മറ്റെ പാതിയും ഓഗിന്റെ രാജ്യമായ ബാശാൻ മുഴുവനും അർഗ്ഗോബ് ദേശം മുഴുവനും ഞാൻ മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിന് കൊടുത്തു.- ബാശാന് മല്ലന്മാരുടെ ദേശം എന്ന് പേർ പറയുന്നു.To the half-tribe of Manasseh I gave the rest of Gilead and all of Bashan, the kingdom of Og. (The entire region of Argob, the whole territory of Bashan, used to be called the land of the Rephaim.)

14മനശ്ശെയുടെ മകനായ യായീർ ഗെശൂര്യരുടെയും മാഖാത്യരുടെയും അതിർവരെ അർഗ്ഗോബ്ദേശം മുഴുവനും പിടിച്ച് തന്റെ പേരിൻ പ്രകാരം ബാശാന് ഹവോത്ത്- യായീർ എന്ന് പേർ ഇട്ടു; ഇന്നുവരെ ആ പേർ നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു.-Jair, a descendant of Manasseh, took the whole region of Argob as far as the border of the Geshurites and Maacathites. He renamed Bashan after himself, Havvoth-jair, by which it is called to this day.

15മാഖീരിന് ഞാൻ ഗിലെയാദ്‌ദേശം കൊടുത്തു.To Machir I gave Gilead,

16രൂബേന്യർക്കും ഗാദ്യർക്കും ഗിലെയാദ് മുതൽ അർന്നോൻതാഴ്വരയുടെ മദ്ധ്യപ്രദേശവും അതിരും അമ്മോന്യരുടെ അതിരായ യബ്ബോക്ക്തോടുവരെയുംand to the Reubenites and Gadites I gave the territory from Gilead to the Arnon Valley (the middle of the valley was the border) and up to the Jabbok River, the border of the Ammonites.

18അക്കാലത്ത് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചത്: “നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഈ ദേശം അവകാശമായി തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളിൽ യുദ്ധപ്രാപ്തന്മാരായ എല്ലാവരും യിസ്രായേല്യരായ നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്ക് മുമ്പായി യുദ്ധസന്നദ്ധരായി കടന്നുപോകേണംAt that time I commanded you: “The LORD your God has given you this land to possess. All your men of valor are to cross over, armed for battle, ahead of your brothers, the Israelites.

19നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും മക്കളും ആടുമാടുകളും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തന്നിട്ടുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ പാർക്കട്ടെ; നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ആടുമാടുകൾ വളരെ ഉണ്ട് എന്ന് എനിക്ക് അറിയാം.But your wives, your children, and your livestock—I know that you have much livestock—may remain in the cities I have given you,

20യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്കും സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കുകയും യോർദ്ദാനക്കരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവർക്ക് കൊടുക്കുന്ന ദേശം അവർ കൈവശമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുവോളം തന്നേ. പിന്നെ നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തൻ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തന്നിട്ടുള്ള അവകാശത്തിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിപ്പോരേണം.“until the LORD gives rest to your brothers as He has to you, and they too have taken possession of the land that the LORD your God is giving them across the Jordan. Then each of you may return to the possession I have given you.”

21അക്കാലത്ത് ഞാൻ യോശുവയോട് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചത്: “നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആ രണ്ടു രാജാക്കന്മാരോട് ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും നീ കണ്ണാലെ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ; നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ ചെല്ലുന്ന സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളോടും യഹോവ അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്യും.And at that time I commanded Joshua: “Your own eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings. The LORD will do the same to all the kingdoms you are about to enter.

22നിങ്ങൾ അവരെ ഭയപ്പെടരുത്; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയല്ലോ നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നത്.“Do not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God Himself will fight for you.”

23അക്കാലത്ത് ഞാൻ യഹോവയോട് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു:At that time I also pleaded with the LORD:

24“കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ മഹത്വവും നിന്റെ ഭുജവീര്യവും അടിയനെ കാണിച്ചുതുടങ്ങിയല്ലോ; നിന്റെ ക്രിയകൾപോലെയും നിന്റെ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികൾപോലെയും ചെയ്യുവാൻ കഴിയുന്ന ദൈവം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലാകട്ടെ ഭൂമിയിലാകട്ടെ ആരുള്ളു?“O Lord GOD, You have begun to show Your greatness and power to Your servant. For what god in heaven or on earth can perform such works and mighty acts as Yours?

25ഞാൻ കടന്നുചെന്ന് യോർദ്ദാനക്കരെയുള്ള നല്ല ദേശവും മനോഹരമായ പർവ്വതവും ലെബാനോനും ഒന്ന് കണ്ടുകൊള്ളട്ടെ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.Please let me cross over and see the good land beyond the Jordan—that pleasant hill country as well as Lebanon!”

26എന്നാൽ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം എന്നോട് കോപിച്ചിരുന്നു; എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടതുമില്ല. യഹോവ എന്നോട്: “മതി; ഈ കാര്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഇനി എന്നോട് സംസാരിക്കരുത്;But the LORD was angry with me on account of you, and He would not listen to me. “That is enough,” the LORD said to me. “Do not speak to Me again about this matter.

27പിസ്ഗയുടെ മുകളിൽ കയറി തല ഉയർത്തി പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടും വടക്കോട്ടും തെക്കോട്ടും കിഴക്കോട്ടും നോക്കിക്കാണുക;Go to the top of Pisgah and look to the west and north and south and east. See the land with your own eyes, for you will not cross this Jordan.

28ഈ യോർദ്ദാൻ നീ കടക്കയില്ല; യോശുവയോട് കല്പിച്ച് അവനെ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തി ഉറപ്പിക്ക; അവൻ നായകനായി ഈ ജനത്തെ അക്കരെ കടത്തും; നീ കാണുന്ന ദേശം അവൻ അവർക്ക് അവകാശമായി പങ്കിട്ടു കൊടുക്കും” എന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.But commission Joshua, encourage him, and strengthen him, for he will cross over ahead of the people and enable them to inherit the land that you will see.”

29അങ്ങനെ നാം ബേത്ത്--പെയോരിനെതിരെ താഴ്വരയിൽ പാർത്തു.So we stayed in the valley opposite Beth-peor.
