2 ULB “അടിമവീടായ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ നിന്ന് നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു. BSB BSB: “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
4 ULB ഒരു വിഗ്രഹവും ഉണ്ടാക്കരുത്; മുകളിൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലോ താഴെ ഭൂമിയിലോ ഭൂമിക്കടിയിൽ വെള്ളത്തിലോ ഉള്ള യാതൊന്നിന്റെ പ്രതിമയും അരുത്. BSB BSB: You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in the heavens above, on the earth below, or in the waters beneath.
5 ULB അവയെ നമസ്കരിക്കുകയോ സേവിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യരുത്. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ തീക്ഷ്ണതയുള്ള ദൈവം ആകുന്നു; അനീതി കാണിക്കുന്ന പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ശിക്ഷ മൂന്നാമത്തെയും നാലാമത്തെയും തലമുറവരെ മക്കളുടെ മേൽ നിലനിൽക്കുകയും BSB BSB: You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on their children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 ULB എന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ആയിരം തലമുറ വരെ ദയ കാണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. BSB BSB: but showing loving devotion to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7 ULB നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വൃഥാ എടുക്കരുതു; തന്റെ നാമം വൃഥാ എടുക്കുന്നവനെ യഹോവ ശിക്ഷിക്കും. BSB BSB: You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave anyone unpunished who takes His name in vain.
9 ULB ആറ് ദിവസം അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ച് നിന്റെ വേല ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്യുക. BSB BSB: Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
10 ULB ഏഴാം ദിവസം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ബത്ത് ആകുന്നു; അന്ന് നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രനും പുത്രിയും നിന്റെ വേലക്കാരനും വേലക്കാരിയും നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളും നിന്റെ പടിവാതിൽക്കകത്തുള്ള പരദേശിയും ഒരു വേലയും ചെയ്യരുത്. BSB BSB: but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God, on which you must not do any work—neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant or livestock, nor the foreigner within your gates.
13 ULB കൊല ചെയ്യരുത്. BSB BSB: You shall not murder.
14 ULB വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുത്. BSB BSB: You shall not commit adultery.
15 ULB മോഷ്ടിക്കരുത്. BSB BSB: You shall not steal.
16 ULB കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ നേരെ കള്ളസാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുത്. BSB BSB: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
18 ULB ജനം എല്ലാം ഇടിമുഴക്കവും മിന്നലും കാഹളധ്വനിയും കേൾക്കുകയും പർവ്വതം പുകയുന്നത് കാണുകയും ചെയ്തു; അത് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ ഭയന്നു വിറച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ദൂരത്ത് നിന്നു. BSB BSB: When all the people witnessed the thunder and lightning, the sounding of the ram’s horn, and the mountain enveloped in smoke, they trembled and stood at a distance.
19 ULB അവർ മോശെയോട്: “നീ ഞങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കുക; ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടുകൊള്ളാം; ഞങ്ങൾ മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ദൈവം ഞങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കരുതേ”എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: “Speak to us yourself and we will listen,” they said to Moses. “But do not let God speak to us, or we will die.”
20 ULB മോശെ ജനത്തോട്: “ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിങ്ങളെ പരീക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിനും നിങ്ങൾ പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുവാൻ അവനിലുള്ള ഭയം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിനും അത്രേ ദൈവം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്”എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: “Do not be afraid,” Moses replied. “For God has come to test you, so that the fear of Him may be before you, to keep you from sinning.”
21 ULB അങ്ങനെ ജനം ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു; മോശെയോ ദൈവം ഇരുന്ന ഇരുളിന്റെ അടുത്തുചെന്നു. BSB BSB: And the people stood at a distance as Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.
22 ULB അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മോശെയോട് കല്പിച്ചത്: “നീ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയണം: ഞാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് നിങ്ങളോട് സംസാരിച്ചത് നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ. BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses, “This is what you are to tell the Israelites: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven.
23 ULB എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വെള്ളികൊണ്ടുള്ള ദേവന്മാരെയോ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ദേവന്മാരെയോ നിങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കരുത്. BSB BSB: You are not to make any gods alongside Me; you are not to make for yourselves gods of silver or gold.
24 ULB എനിക്കു മണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്മേൽ നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെയും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളെയും നിന്റെ ആടുകളെയും കന്നുകാലികളെയും അർപ്പിക്കണം. ഞാൻ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്റെ സ്മരണ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്ന ഏതു സ്ഥലത്തും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്ന് നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും. BSB BSB: You are to make for Me an altar of earth, and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and peace offerings, your sheep and goats and cattle. In every place where I cause My name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you.
25 ULB കല്ലുകൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് യാഗപീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ചെത്തിയ കല്ലുകൊണ്ട് അത് പണിയരുത്; നിന്റെ ആയുധംകൊണ്ട് അതിനെ തൊട്ടാൽ നീ അത് അശുദ്ധമാക്കും. BSB BSB: Now if you make an altar of stones for Me, you must not build it with stones shaped by tools; for if you use a chisel on it, you will defile it.
26 ULB എന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിൽ നിന്റെ നഗ്നത കാണാതിരിക്കുവാൻ നീ അതിന്റെ പടികളിലൂടെ കയറരുത്. BSB BSB: And you must not go up to My altar on steps, lest your nakedness be exposed on it.’
