1 ULB യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടതിന്റെ മൂന്നാം മാസത്തിൽ അവർ സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയിൽ എത്തി. BSB BSB: In the third month, on the same day of the month that the Israelites had left the land of Egypt, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai.
2 ULB അവർ രെഫീദീമിൽനിന്ന് യാത്ര തിരിച്ച് സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയിൽ വന്നു. അവിടെ പർവ്വതത്തിന് മുമ്പിൽ പാളയമിറങ്ങി. BSB BSB: After they had set out from Rephidim, they entered the Wilderness of Sinai, and Israel camped there in front of the mountain.
3 ULB മോശെ ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ കയറിച്ചെന്നു; യഹോവ പർവ്വതത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവനോട് കല്പിച്ചത്: “നീ യാക്കോബ് ഗൃഹത്തോട് പറയുകയും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോട് അറിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്: BSB BSB: Then Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain, “This is what you are to tell the house of Jacob and explain to the sons of Israel:
4 ULB “ഞാൻ ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാരോട് ചെയ്തതും നിങ്ങളെ കഴുകന്മാരുടെ ചിറകിന്മേൽ വഹിച്ച് എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതും നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ. BSB BSB: ‘You have seen for yourselves what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.
5 ULB അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വാക്ക് കേട്ട് അനുസരിക്കുകയും എന്റെ നിയമം പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്കു സകല ജനതകളിലുംവച്ചു പ്രത്യേക സമ്പത്തായിരിക്കും; കാ‍രണം ഭൂമി ഒക്കെയും എനിക്കുള്ളതാണല്ലോ. BSB BSB: Now if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, you will be My treasured possession out of all the nations—for the whole earth is Mine.
6 ULB നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്ക് ഒരു പുരോഹിതരാജത്വവും വിശുദ്ധജനവും ആകും. ഇവ നീ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോട് പറയേണ്ട വചനങ്ങൾ ആകുന്നു.” BSB BSB: And unto Me you shall be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to speak to the Israelites.”
7 ULB മോശെ വന്ന് ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെ വിളിച്ച്, യഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ച ഈ വചനങ്ങളെല്ലാം അവരെ പറഞ്ഞു കേൾപ്പിച്ചു. BSB BSB: So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the LORD had commanded him.
8 ULB “യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യും” എന്ന് ജനം ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. മോശെ ജനത്തിന്റെ വാക്ക് യഹോവയെ അറിയിച്ചു. BSB BSB: And all the people answered together, “We will do everything that the LORD has spoken.” So Moses brought their words back to the LORD.
9 ULB യഹോവ മോശെയോട്:“ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ജനം കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിനും നിന്നെ എന്നേക്കും വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിനും ഞാൻ ഇതാ, മേഘതമസ്സിൽ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നു” എന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു, ജനത്തിന്റെ വാക്ക് മോശെ യഹോവയോട് അറിയിച്ചു. BSB BSB: The LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear when I speak with you, and they will always put their trust in you.” And Moses relayed to the LORD what the people had said.
10 ULB യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോട് കല്പിച്ചത്: “നീ ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന് ഇന്നും നാളെയും അവരെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുക; BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. They must wash their clothes
11 ULB അവർ വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി, മൂന്നാം ദിവസത്തേക്ക് ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കട്ടെ; മൂന്നാം ദിവസം യഹോവ സകല ജനവും കാൺകെ സീനായിപർവ്വതത്തിൽ ഇറങ്ങും. BSB BSB: and be prepared by the third day, for on the third day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.
12 ULB ജനം പർവ്വതത്തിൽ കയറാതെയും അതിന്റെ അതിരിൽ തൊടാതെയും സൂക്ഷിക്കണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് നീ അവർക്കായി ചുറ്റും അതിര് തിരിക്കണം; പർവ്വതം തൊടുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കണം. BSB BSB: And you are to set up a boundary for the people around the mountain and tell them, ‘Be careful not to go up on the mountain or touch its base. Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.
13 ULB ആരും അവനെ തൊടാതെ അവനെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞോ എയ്തോ കൊന്നുകളയണം; മൃഗമായാലും മനുഷ്യനായാലും ജീവനോടിരിക്കരുത്. കാഹളം ദീർഘമായി ധ്വനിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ പർവ്വതത്തിന് അടുത്തുവരട്ടെ.” BSB BSB: No hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot with arrows—whether man or beast, he must not live.’ Only when the ram’s horn sounds a long blast may they approach the mountain.”
14 ULB മോശെ പർവ്വതത്തിൽനിന്ന് ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്ന് ജനത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു; അവർ വസ്ത്രം അലക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. BSB BSB: When Moses came down from the mountain to the people, he consecrated them, and they washed their clothes.
15 ULB അവൻ ജനത്തോട്: “മൂന്നാം ദിവസത്തേക്ക് ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലരുത്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: “Be prepared for the third day,” he said to the people. “Do not draw near to a woman.”
16 ULB മൂന്നാം ദിവസം നേരം വെളുത്തപ്പോൾ ഇടിമുഴക്കവും മിന്നലും പർവ്വതത്തിൽ കാർമേഘവും മഹാഗംഭീരമായ കാഹളധ്വനിയും ഉണ്ടായി; പാളയത്തിലുള്ള ജനം എല്ലാവരും നടുങ്ങി. BSB BSB: On the third day, when morning came, there was thunder and lightning. A thick cloud was upon the mountain, and a very loud blast of the ram’s horn went out, so that all the people in the camp trembled.
17 ULB ദൈവത്തെ എതിരേല്ക്കുവാൻ മോശെ ജനത്തെ പാളയത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; അവർ പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ അടിവാരത്തു നിന്നു. BSB BSB: Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.
18 ULB യഹോവ തീയിൽ സീനായി പർവ്വതത്തിൽ ഇറങ്ങുകയാൽ അതു മുഴുവനും പുകകൊണ്ട് മൂടി; അതിന്റെ പുക തീച്ചൂളയിലെ പുകപോലെ പൊങ്ങി; പർവ്വതം ഒക്കെയും ഏറ്റവും കുലുങ്ങി. BSB BSB: Mount Sinai was completely enveloped in smoke, because the LORD had descended on it in fire. And the smoke rose like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked violently.
19 ULB കാഹളധ്വനി ദീർഘമായി ഉറച്ചുറച്ചു വന്നപ്പോൾ മോശെ സംസാരിച്ചു; ദൈവം ഉച്ചത്തിൽ അവനോട് ഉത്തരം അരുളി. BSB BSB: And as the sound of the ram’s horn grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and God answered him in the thunder.
20 ULB യഹോവ സീനായി പർവ്വതത്തിൽ പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ കൊടുമുടിയിൽ ഇറങ്ങി; യഹോവ മോശെയെ പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ കൊടുമുടിയിലേക്ക് വിളിച്ചു; മോശെ കയറിച്ചെന്നു. BSB BSB: The LORD descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the summit. So Moses went up,
21 ULB യഹോവ മോശെയോട് കല്പിച്ചത്: “യഹോവയെ കാണേണ്ടതിന് ജനം യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കൽ കടന്നുവന്നിട്ട് അവരിൽ പലരും നശിച്ചുപോകാതിരിക്കുവാൻ നീ ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്ന് അവർക്ക് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകുക. BSB BSB: and the LORD said to him, “Go down and warn the people not to break through to see the LORD, lest many of them perish.
22 ULB യഹോവയുടെ അടുത്ത് വരുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാരും യഹോവ അവർക്ക് ഹാനി വരുത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് തങ്ങളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കട്ടെ.” BSB BSB: Even the priests who approach the LORD must consecrate themselves, or the LORD will break out against them.”
23 ULB മോശെ യഹോവയോട്: “ജനത്തിന് സീനായിപർവ്വതത്തിൽ കയറുവാൻ പാടില്ല; പർവ്വതത്തിന് അതിര് തിരിച്ച് അതിനെ ശുദ്ധമാക്കുക എന്ന് ഞങ്ങളോട് കർശനമായി കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: But Moses said to the LORD, “The people cannot come up Mount Sinai, for You solemnly warned us, ‘Put a boundary around the mountain and set it apart as holy.’”
24 ULB യഹോവ അവനോട്: “ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോകുക; നീ അഹരോനുമായി കയറിവരിക; എന്നാൽ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ജനവും യഹോവ അവർക്ക് നാശം വരുത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കയറുവാൻ അതിര് കടക്കരുത്. BSB BSB: And the LORD replied, “Go down and bring Aaron with you. But the priests and the people must not break through to come up to the LORD, or He will break out against them.”
25 ULB അങ്ങനെ മോശെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്ന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: So Moses went down to the people and spoke to them.
