2 ULB “ഈ നിയമത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ട് യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരോടും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളോടും പ്രസ്താവിക്കുവിൻ. BSB BSB: “Listen to the words of this covenant and tell them to the men of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem.
3 ULB നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടത് എന്തെന്നാൽ:“യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഈ നിയമത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ കേട്ടനുസരിക്കാത്ത മനുഷ്യൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. BSB BSB: You must tell them that this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Cursed is the man who does not obey the words of this covenant,

BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to me, “Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Hear the words of this covenant and carry them out.
7 ULB ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാളിലും ഇന്നുവരെയും ഞാൻ അതികാലത്തും ഇടവിടാതെയും അവരോട്: “എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുവിൻ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: For from the time I brought your fathers out of the land of Egypt until today, I strongly warned them again and again, saying, ‘Obey My voice.’

BSB BSB: Yet they would not obey or incline their ears, but each one followed the stubbornness of his evil heart. So I brought on them all the curses of this covenant I had commanded them to follow but they did not keep.”
9 ULB യഹോവ പിന്നെയും എന്നോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്: “യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിലും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളുടെ ഇടയിലും ഒരു കൂട്ടുകെട്ടു കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: And the LORD told me, “There is a conspiracy among the men of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem.
10 ULB അവർ എന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ കേട്ടനുസരിക്കാത്ത പൂർവ്വപിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞ്, അന്യദേവന്മാരെ സേവിക്കുവാൻ അവരോടു ചേർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമം യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹവും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹവും ലംഘിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു”. BSB BSB: They have returned to the sins of their forefathers who refused to obey My words. They have followed other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken the covenant I made with their fathers.
11 ULB അതുകൊണ്ട് യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “രക്ഷപെടുവാൻ കഴിയാത്ത ഒരനർത്ഥം ഞാൻ അവർക്കു വരുത്തും; അവർ എന്നോടു നിലവിളിച്ചാലും ഞാൻ കേൾക്കുകയില്ല. BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘I am about to bring upon them a disaster that they cannot escape. They will cry out to Me, but I will not listen to them.
12 ULB അപ്പോൾ യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളും ചെന്ന്, അവർ ധൂപം കാട്ടിവന്ന ദേവന്മാരോടു നിലവിളിക്കും; എങ്കിലും അവർ അവരെ അനർത്ഥകാലത്തു രക്ഷിക്കുകയില്ല. BSB BSB: Then the cities of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem will go and cry out to the gods to which they have been burning incense, but these gods certainly will not save them in their time of disaster.
13 ULB യെഹൂദയേ, നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണത്തോളം നിനക്കു ദേവന്മാരുണ്ട്; യെരൂശലേമിലെ വീഥികളുടെ എണ്ണത്തോളം നിങ്ങൾ ആ ലജ്ജാവിഗ്രഹത്തിനു ബലിപീഠങ്ങളെ, ബാലിനു ധൂപം കാട്ടുവാനുള്ള പീഠങ്ങളെ തന്നെ തീർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Your gods are indeed as numerous as your cities, O Judah; the altars of shame you have set up—the altars to burn incense to Baal—are as many as the streets of Jerusalem.’
14 ULB അതിനാൽ നീ ഈ ജനത്തിനു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കരുത്; അവർക്കു വേണ്ടി യാചനയോ പക്ഷവാദമോ കഴിക്കുകയുമരുത്; അവർ അനർത്ഥംനിമിത്തം എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ കേൾക്കുകയില്ല. BSB BSB: As for you, do not pray for these people. Do not raise up a cry or a prayer on their behalf, for I will not be listening when they call out to Me in their time of disaster.

BSB BSB: What right has My beloved in My house, having carried out so many evil schemes? Can consecrated meat avert your doom? When you are wicked, then you rejoice.
16 ULB ‘മനോഹര ഫലങ്ങളാൽ ശോഭിതമായ പച്ച ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷം’ എന്ന് യഹോവ നിനക്ക് പേർ വിളിച്ചിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ മഹാകോലാഹലത്തോടെ അവൻ അതിന് തീ വച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളും ഒടിഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: The LORD once called you a flourishing olive tree, beautiful with well-formed fruit. But with a mighty roar He will set it on fire, and its branches will be consumed.
17 ULB യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹവും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹവും ബാലിനു ധൂപം കാട്ടി എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതിനാൽ ദോഷം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ നിന്നെ നട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ നിനക്ക് അനർത്ഥം വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: The LORD of Hosts, who planted you, has decreed disaster against you on account of the evil that the house of Israel and the house of Judah have brought upon themselves, provoking Me to anger by burning incense to Baal.”
18 ULB യഹോവ എനിക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയതിനാൽ ഞാൻ അത് അറിഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങ് അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ അന്നെനിക്കു കാണിച്ചുതന്നു. BSB BSB: And the LORD informed me, so I knew. Then You showed me their deeds.
19 ULB ഞാനോ അറുക്കുവാൻ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്ന ഇണക്കമുള്ള കുഞ്ഞാടുപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു; ‘അവന്റെ പേർ ആരും ഓർക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് നാം വൃക്ഷത്തെ ഫലത്തോടുകൂടി നശിപ്പിച്ച് ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയുക’ എന്ന് അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ ഉപായം നിരൂപിച്ചത് ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല. BSB BSB: For I was like a gentle lamb led to slaughter; I did not know that they had plotted against me: “Let us destroy the tree with its fruit; let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be remembered no more.”
20 ULB നീതിയോടെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കുകയും അന്തരംഗവും ഹൃദയവും ശോധനകഴിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, അവിടുന്ന് അവരോടു ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രതികാരം ഞാൻ കാണുമാറാകട്ടെ; ഞാൻ എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം അങ്ങയെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. BSB BSB: O LORD of Hosts, who judges righteously, who examines the heart and mind, let me see Your vengeance upon them, for to You I have committed my cause.
21 ULB അതുകൊണ്ട്: “നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൈയാൽ മരിക്കാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ പ്രവചിക്കരുത്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് നിനക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്ന അനാഥോത്തുകാരെക്കുറിച്ച് യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD says concerning the people of Anathoth who are seeking your life and saying, “You must not prophesy in the name of the LORD, or you will die by our hand.”
22 ULB “ഞാൻ അവരെ സന്ദർശിക്കും; യൗവനക്കാർ വാൾകൊണ്ടു മരിക്കും; അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടു മരിക്കും. BSB BSB: So this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “I will punish them. Their young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters by famine.
23 ULB ഞാൻ അനാഥോത്തുകാരെ സന്ദർശിക്കുന്ന കാലത്ത് അവർക്ക് അനർത്ഥം വരുത്തുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് അവരിൽ ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പും ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല” എന്ന് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. BSB BSB: There will be no remnant, for I will bring disaster on the people of Anathoth in the year of their punishment.”
