1 ULB യഹോവേ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയോടു വാദിച്ചാൽ അവിടുന്ന് നീതിമാനായിരിക്കും; എങ്കിലും ന്യായങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ഞാൻ അങ്ങയോട് ചോദിക്കുവാൻ തുനിയുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വഴി ശുഭമായിരിക്കുവാൻ സംഗതി എന്ത്? ദ്രോഹം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരെല്ലാം നിർഭയരായിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ത്? BSB BSB: Righteous are You, O LORD, when I plead before You. Yet about Your judgments I wish to contend with You: Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all the faithless live at ease?
2 ULB അങ്ങ് അവരെ നട്ടു; അവർ വേരൂന്നി വളർന്ന് ഫലം കായ്ക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ വായിൽ അവിടുന്ന് സമീപസ്ഥനായും അന്തരംഗത്തിൽ ദൂരസ്ഥനായും ഇരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: You planted them, and they have taken root. They have grown and produced fruit. You are ever on their lips, but far from their hearts.

BSB BSB: But You know me, O LORD; You see me and test my heart toward You. Drag away the wicked like sheep to the slaughter and set them apart for the day of carnage.
4 ULB ദേശം ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നതും നിലത്തിലെ സസ്യമൊക്കെയും വാടുന്നതും എത്രത്തോളം? നിവാസികളുടെ ദുഷ്ടത നിമിത്തം മൃഗങ്ങളും പക്ഷികളും നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; ഇവൻ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അവസാനം കാണുകയില്ല” എന്ന് അവർ പറയുന്നു. BSB BSB: How long will the land mourn and the grass of every field be withered? Because of the evil of its residents, the animals and birds have been swept away, for the people have said, “He cannot see what our end will be.”
5 ULB “കാലാളുകളോടുകൂടി ഓടിയിട്ട് നീ ക്ഷീണിച്ചുപോയാൽ, കുതിരകളോട് എങ്ങനെ മത്സരിച്ചോടും? സമാധാനമുള്ള ദേശത്ത് നീ നിർഭയനായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ യോർദ്ദാന്റെ വൻകാട്ടിൽ നീ എന്തു ചെയ്യും?” BSB BSB: “If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in a peaceful land, how will you do in the thickets of the Jordan?
6 ULB “നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും പിതൃഭവനവും നിന്നോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരും നിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ആർപ്പുവിളിക്കുന്നു; അവർ നിന്നോട് മധുരവാക്കു പറഞ്ഞാലും അവരെ വിശ്വസിക്കരുത്. BSB BSB: Even your brothers—your own father’s household—even they have betrayed you; even they have cried aloud against you. Do not trust them, though they speak well of you.

8 ULB എന്റെ അവകാശം എനിക്ക് കാട്ടിലെ സിംഹംപോലെ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു; അത് എന്റെ നേരെ ഗർജ്ജിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അതിനെ വെറുക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: My inheritance has become to Me like a lion in the forest. She has roared against Me; therefore I hate her.

BSB BSB: Is not My inheritance to Me like a speckled bird of prey with other birds of prey circling against her? Go, gather all the beasts of the field; bring them to devour her.
10 ULB അനേകം ഇടയന്മാർ എന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നശിപ്പിക്കുകയും എന്റെ ഓഹരി ചവിട്ടിക്കളയുകയും, എന്റെ മനോഹരമായ ഓഹരിയെ ശൂന്യമരുഭൂമിയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Many shepherds have destroyed My vineyard; they have trampled My plot of ground. They have turned My pleasant field into a desolate wasteland.

12 ULB കവർച്ചക്കാർ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ മൊട്ടക്കുന്നിന്മേൽ എല്ലായിടവും വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ വാൾ ദേശത്തെ ഒരറ്റം മുതൽ മറ്റേ അറ്റംവരെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; ഒരു ജഡത്തിനും സമാധാനം ഇല്ല. BSB BSB: Over all the barren heights in the wilderness the destroyers have come, for the sword of the LORD devours from one end of the earth to the other. No flesh has peace.
13 ULB അവർ ഗോതമ്പു വിതച്ച്, മുള്ളു കൊയ്തു; അവർ പ്രയാസപ്പെട്ടു; ഒരു ഫലവും ഉണ്ടായില്ല; യഹോവയുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപം നിമിത്തം അവർ അവരുടെ വിളവിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ലജ്ജിക്കും”. BSB BSB: They have sown wheat but harvested thorns. They have exhausted themselves to no avail. Bear the shame of your harvest because of the fierce anger of the LORD.”
14 ULB ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന അവകാശത്തെ തൊടുന്ന ദുഷ്ടന്മാരായ എന്റെ എല്ലാ അയല്ക്കാരെയും കുറിച്ച് യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ അവരെ അവരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു പറിച്ചുകളയും; യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തെ ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു പറിച്ചുകളയും. BSB BSB: This is what the LORD says: “As for all My evil neighbors who attack the inheritance that I bequeathed to My people Israel, I am about to uproot them from their land, and I will uproot the house of Judah from among them.
15 ULB അവരെ പറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ ശേഷം ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും അവരോടു കരുണ കാണിച്ച് ഓരോരുത്തനെ അവനവന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കും ദേശത്തിലേക്കും തിരിച്ചുവരുത്തും. BSB BSB: But after I have uprooted them, I will once again have compassion on them and return each one to his inheritance and to his land.
16 ULB അവർ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ ബാലിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സത്യം ചെയ്യുവാൻ പഠിപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ, ‘യഹോവയാണ’ എന്ന് എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സത്യം ചെയ്യുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ വഴികളെ താത്പര്യത്തോടെ പഠിക്കുമെങ്കിൽ, അവർ എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ അഭിവൃദ്ധി പ്രാപിക്കും. BSB BSB: And if they will diligently learn the ways of My people and swear by My name, saying, ‘As surely as the LORD lives’—just as they once taught My people to swear by Baal—then they will be established among My people.
17 ULB അവർ കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ, ഞാൻ ആ ജനതയെ പറിച്ച് നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്. BSB BSB: But if they will not obey, then I will uproot that nation; I will uproot it and destroy it, declares the LORD.”
