1 ULB അയ്യോ, എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ പുത്രിയുടെ ഘാതകന്മാർനിമിത്തം രാവും പകലും കരയേണ്ടതിന് എന്റെ തല വെള്ളവും എന്റെ കണ്ണു കണ്ണുനീരുറവും ആയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളാമായിരുന്നു! BSB BSB: Oh, that my head were a spring of water, and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night over the slain daughter of my people.
2 ULB അയ്യോ, എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടു പോകേണ്ടതിന് മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വഴിയാത്രക്കാർക്കുള്ള ഒരു സത്രം എനിക്കു കിട്ടിയെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളാമായിരുന്നു! അവരെല്ലാവരും വ്യഭിചാരികളും ദ്രോഹികളുടെ കൂട്ടവുമല്ലയോ?. BSB BSB: If only I had a traveler’s lodge in the wilderness, I would abandon my people and depart from them, for they are all adulterers, a crowd of faithless people.

BSB BSB: “They bend their tongues like bows; lies prevail over truth in the land. For they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not take Me into account,” declares the LORD.
4 ULB നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തനും അവനവന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളുവിൻ; ഒരു സഹോദരനിലും നിങ്ങൾ ആശ്രയിക്കരുത്; ഓരോ സഹോദരനും ഉപായം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു; ഓരോ കൂട്ടുകാരനും നുണ പറഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Behold, I will refine them and test them, for what else can I do because of the daughter of My people?

10 ULB “പർവ്വതങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ കരച്ചിലും വിലാപവും മരുഭൂമിയിലെ മേച്ചിൽപുറങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രലാപവും തുടങ്ങും; ആരും വഴിപോകാത്തവണ്ണം അവ വെന്തുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു; കന്നുകാലികളുടെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുന്നില്ല; ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളും മൃഗങ്ങളും എല്ലാം അവിടം വിട്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: I will take up a weeping and wailing for the mountains, a dirge over the wilderness pasture, for they have been scorched so no one passes through, and the lowing of cattle is not heard. Both the birds of the air and the beasts have fled; they have gone away.
11 ULB ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിനെ കൽക്കുന്നുകളും കുറുനരികളുടെ പാർപ്പിടവും ആക്കും; ഞാൻ യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളെ നിവാസികൾ ഇല്ലാതെയാകും വിധം ശൂന്യമാക്കിക്കളയും. BSB BSB: “And I will make Jerusalem a heap of rubble, a haunt for jackals; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant.”
12 ULB ഇതു ഗ്രഹിക്കുവാൻ തക്ക ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളവൻ ആര്? അതു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം യഹോവയുടെ വായ് ആരോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു? ആരും വഴിപോകാത്തവിധം ദേശം നശിച്ച് മരുഭൂമിപോലെ വെന്തുപോകുവാൻ സംഗതി എന്ത്?” BSB BSB: Who is the man wise enough to understand this? To whom has the mouth of the LORD spoken, that he may explain it? Why is the land destroyed and scorched like a desert, so no one can pass through it?
13 ULB യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നത്: “ഞാൻ അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വച്ച ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവർ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുകയോ അത് അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാതെ BSB BSB: And the LORD answered, “It is because they have forsaken My law, which I set before them; they have not walked in it or obeyed My voice.

BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Behold, I will feed this people wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink.

18 ULB നമ്മുടെ കണ്ണിൽ നിന്ന് കണ്ണുനീർ ഒഴുകത്തക്കവിധവും നമ്മുടെ കൺപോളയിൽനിന്നു വെള്ളം കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകത്തക്കവിധവും അവർ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു വിലാപം കഴിക്കട്ടെ. BSB BSB: Let them come quickly and take up a lament over us, that our eyes may overflow with tears, and our eyelids may gush with water.

20 ULB എന്നാൽ സ്ത്രീകളേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്കുവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ചെവി അവിടുത്തെ വായിലെ വചനം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കട്ടെ; നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിമാരെ വിലാപവും ഓരോ സ്ത്രീയും അവളുടെ കൂട്ടുകാരിയെ പ്രലാപവും അഭ്യസിപ്പിക്കുവിൻ. BSB BSB: Now, O women, hear the word of the LORD. Open your ears to the word of His mouth. Teach your daughters to wail, and one another to lament.
21 ULB വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും വീഥികളിൽനിന്നു യുവാക്കളെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണ്ടതിന് മരണം നമ്മുടെ കിളിവാതിലുകളിൽകൂടി കയറി നമ്മുടെ അരമനകളിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: For death has climbed in through our windows; it has entered our fortresses to cut off the children from the streets, the young men from the town squares.
22 ULB മനുഷ്യരുടെ ശവങ്ങൾ വയലിലെ ചാണകംപോലെയും, കൊയ്ത്തുകാരന്റെ പിന്നിലെ കതിർമണിപോലെയും വീഴും; ആരും അവയെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കുകയില്ല എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്” എന്നു പറയുക. BSB BSB: Declare that this is what the LORD says: “The corpses of men will fall like dung upon the open field, like newly cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather it.”
23 ULB യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ജ്ഞാനി തന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കരുത്; ബലവാൻ തന്റെ ബലത്തിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കരുത്; ധനവാൻ തന്റെ ധനത്തിലും പ്രശംസിക്കരുത്. BSB BSB: This is what the LORD says: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, nor the strong man in his strength, nor the wealthy man in his riches.
24 ULB പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നവനോ: യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ ദയയും ന്യായവും നീതിയും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ എന്നെ ഗ്രഹിച്ചറിയുന്നതിൽ തന്നെ പ്രശംസിക്കട്ടെ; ഇതിൽ അല്ലയോ എനിക്കു പ്രസാദമുള്ളത്” എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്. BSB BSB: But let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD, who exercises loving devotion, justice and righteousness on the earth—for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.
25 ULB ഇതാ ഈജിപ്റ്റ്, യെഹൂദാ, ഏദോം, അമ്മോന്യർ, മോവാബ്, തലയുടെ അരികു വടിക്കുന്ന മരുഭൂനിവാസികൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെ അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തോടുകൂടിയ സകലപരിച്ഛേദനക്കാരെയും ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷിക്കുവാനുള്ള കാലം വരുന്നു. BSB BSB: “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh—

BSB BSB: Egypt, Judah, Edom, Ammon, Moab, and all the inhabitants of the desert who clip the hair of their temples. For all these nations are uncircumcised, and the whole house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart.”
