2 ULB ചിലർ അതിരുകളെ മാറ്റുന്നു; ചിലർ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തെ കവർന്ന് കൊണ്ടുപോയി മേയ്ക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Men move boundary stones; they pasture stolen flocks.
3 ULB ചിലർ അനാഥരുടെ കഴുതയെ കൊണ്ടു പോകുന്നു; ചിലർ വിധവയുടെ കാളയെ പണയം വാങ്ങുന്നു. BSB BSB: They drive away the donkey of the fatherless and take the widow’s ox in pledge.
4 ULB ചിലർ സാധുക്കളെ വഴി തെറ്റിക്കുന്നു; ദേശത്തെ ദരിദ്രർ എല്ലാം ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു. BSB BSB: They push the needy off the road and force all the poor of the land into hiding.
5 ULB അവർ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ കാട്ടുകഴുതകളെപ്പോലെ ഇര തേടി വേലയ്ക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; അവർ മക്കൾക്കു വേണ്ടി ശൂന്യപ്രദേശത്ത് ആഹാരം തേടിയുള്ള വേലയ്ക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുന്നു. BSB BSB: Indeed, like wild donkeys in the desert, the poor go to work foraging for food; the wasteland is food for their children.
6 ULB അവർ അന്യന്റെ വയലിൽ വിളവെടുക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ കാലാ പെറുക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: They gather fodder in the fields and glean the vineyards of the wicked.
7 ULB അവർ വസ്ത്രമില്ലാതെ നഗ്നരായി രാത്രി കഴിച്ചുകൂട്ടുന്നു; കുളിർ മാറ്റാൻ അവർക്ക് പുതപ്പും ഇല്ല. BSB BSB: Without clothing, they spend the night naked; they have no covering against the cold.
8 ULB അവർ മലകളിൽ മഴ നനയുന്നു; മറവിടം ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ അവർ പാറയെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Drenched by mountain rains, they huddle against the rocks for want of shelter.
9 ULB ചിലർ മുലകുടിക്കുന്ന അനാഥക്കുട്ടികളെ അപഹരിക്കുന്നു; ചിലർ ദരിദ്രനോട് കുട്ടികളെ പണയം വാങ്ങുന്നു. BSB BSB: The fatherless infant is snatched from the breast; the nursing child of the poor is seized for a debt.
10 ULB അവർ വസ്ത്രം കൂടാതെ നഗ്നരായി നടക്കുന്നു; പട്ടിണി കിടന്നുകൊണ്ട് കറ്റ ചുമക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Without clothing, they wander about naked. They carry the sheaves, but still go hungry.
11 ULB ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ മതിലുകൾക്കകത്ത് അവർ ചക്കാട്ടുന്നു; മുന്തിരിച്ചക്ക് ചവിട്ടുകയും ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. BSB BSB: They crush olives within their walls; they tread the winepresses, but go thirsty.
12 ULB പട്ടണത്തിൽ ആളുകൾ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു; മുറിവേറ്റവരുടെ പ്രാണൻ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിനോ അതിൽ ഒട്ടും ശ്രദ്ധയില്ല. BSB BSB: From the city, men groan, and the souls of the wounded cry out, yet God charges no one with wrongdoing.

15 ULB വ്യഭിചാരിയുടെ കണ്ണ് അസ്തമയം കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ മുഖം മറച്ച് നടക്കുന്നു. “ഒരു കണ്ണും എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല” എന്ന് പറയുന്നു. BSB BSB: The eye of the adulterer watches for twilight. Thinking, ‘No eye will see me,’ he covers his face.
16 ULB ചിലർ ഇരുട്ടത്ത് വീട് തുരന്നു കയറുന്നു; പകൽ അവർ വാതിൽ അടച്ചു പാർക്കുന്നു; വെളിച്ചത്ത് ഇറങ്ങുന്നതുമില്ല. BSB BSB: In the dark they dig through houses; by day they shut themselves in, never to experience the light.
17 ULB പ്രഭാതം അവർക്ക് അന്ധതമസ്സ് തന്നെ; അന്ധതമസ്സിന്റെ ഭീകരത അവർക്ക് പരിചയമുണ്ടല്ലോ. BSB BSB: For to them, deep darkness is their morning; surely they are friends with the terrors of darkness!
18 ULB വെള്ളത്തിനുമീതെകൂടി അവർ വേഗത്തിൽ പൊയ്പോകുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഓഹരി ഭൂമിയിൽ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ആരും പോകുന്നില്ല. BSB BSB: They are but foam on the surface of the water; their portion of the land is cursed, so that no one turns toward their vineyards.
19 ULB ഹിമജലം വരൾച്ചയ്ക്കും ഉഷ്ണത്തിനും പാപം ചെയ്തവൻ പാതാളത്തിനും ഇരയാകുന്നു. BSB BSB: As drought and heat consume the melting snow, so Sheol steals those who have sinned.
20 ULB അവനെ വഹിച്ച ഗർഭപാത്രം അവനെ മറന്നുകളയും; കൃമി അവനെ തിന്ന് രസിക്കും; പിന്നെ ആരും അവനെ ഓർക്കുകയില്ല; നീതികേട് ഒരു വൃക്ഷംപോലെ തകർന്നു പോകും. BSB BSB: The womb forgets them; the worm feeds on them; they are remembered no more. So injustice is broken like a tree.
21 ULB പ്രസവിക്കാത്ത മച്ചിയെ അവൻ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയുന്നു; വിധവയ്ക്ക് നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതുമില്ല. BSB BSB: They prey on the barren and childless, and show no kindness to the widow.
22 ULB ദൈവം തന്റെ ശക്തിയാൽ കരുത്തന്മാരെ നിലനില്ക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു; ജീവനെക്കുറിച്ച് നിരാശപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കെ അവർ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Yet by His power, God drags away the mighty; though rising up, they have no assurance of life.
23 ULB അവിടുന്ന് അവർക്ക് നിർഭയവാസം നല്കുന്നു; അവർ ഉറച്ചുനില്ക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി അവരുടെ വഴികളിലുണ്ട്. BSB BSB: He gives them a sense of security, but His eyes are on their ways.
24 ULB അവർ ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കുറെകഴിഞ്ഞിട്ട് അവർ ഇല്ല; അവരെ താഴ്ത്തി മറ്റെല്ലാവരെയുംപോലെ നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; കതിർക്കുലയെന്നപോലെ അവരെ അറുക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: They are exalted for a moment, then they are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like heads of grain.
25 ULB ഇങ്ങനെയല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്നെ കള്ളനാക്കുകയും എന്റെ വാക്ക് അർത്ഥശൂന്യമെന്ന് തെളിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാവുന്നവൻ ആര്? BSB BSB: If this is not so, then who can prove me a liar and reduce my words to nothing?”
