1 ULB യഹോവേ, എന്നോട് മത്സരിക്കുന്നവരോട് വാദിക്കണമേ; എന്നോട് പൊരുതുന്നവരോട് പെരുതണമേ. BSB BSB: Of David. Contend with my opponents, O LORD; fight against those who fight against me.
2 ULB നീ കവചവും പരിചയും ധരിച്ച് എന്റെ സഹായത്തിനായി എഴുന്നേല്ക്കണമേ. BSB BSB: Take up Your shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid.
3 ULB നീ കുന്തം ഊരി എന്നെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവരുടെ വഴി അടച്ചുകളയണമേ; “ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്നു” എന്ന് എന്റെ പ്രാണനോട് പറയണമേ. BSB BSB: Draw the spear and javelin against my pursuers; say to my soul: “I am your salvation.”
4 ULB എനിക്ക് ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും വരട്ടെ; എനിക്ക് അനർത്ഥം ചിന്തിക്കുന്നവർ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞ് ലജ്ജിച്ചു പോകട്ടെ. BSB BSB: May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plan to harm me be driven back and confounded.
5 ULB അവർ കാറ്റത്തെ പതിരുപോലെ ആകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവരെ ഓടിക്കട്ടെ. BSB BSB: May they be like chaff in the wind, as the angel of the LORD drives them away.
6 ULB അവരുടെ വഴി ഇരുട്ടും വഴുവഴുപ്പും ഉള്ളതാകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവരെ പിന്തുടരട്ടെ. BSB BSB: May their path be dark and slick, as the angel of the LORD pursues.
7 ULB കാരണം കൂടാതെ അവർ എനിക്കായി വല ഒളിച്ചുവച്ചു; കാരണം കൂടാതെ അവർ എന്റെ പ്രാണനായി കുഴി കുഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: For without cause they laid their net for me; without reason they dug a pit for my soul.
8 ULB അവൻ വിചാരിക്കാത്ത സമയത്ത് അവന് അപായം ഭവിക്കട്ടെ; അവൻ ഒളിച്ചുവച്ച വലയിൽ അവൻ തന്നെ കുടുങ്ങട്ടെ; അവൻ അപായത്തിൽ അകപ്പെട്ടുപോകട്ടെ. BSB BSB: May ruin befall them by surprise; may the net they hid ensnare them; may they fall into the hazard they created.
9 ULB എന്റെ ഉള്ളം യഹോവയിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്ഷയിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കും; BSB BSB: Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD and exult in His salvation.
10 ULB യഹോവേ, നിനക്കു തുല്യൻ ആര്? “എളിയവനെ തന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവന്റെ കൈയിൽനിന്നും എളിയവനും ദരിദ്രനുമായവനെ കവർച്ചക്കാരന്റെ കൈയിൽനിന്നും നീ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന് എന്റെ അസ്ഥികൾ എല്ലാം പറയും. BSB BSB: All my bones will exclaim, “Who is like You, O LORD, who delivers the afflicted from the aggressor, the poor and needy from the robber?”
11 ULB കള്ളസാക്ഷികൾ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത കാര്യം എന്നോട് ചോദിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Hostile witnesses come forward; they make charges I know nothing about.
12 ULB അവർ എനിക്കു നന്മയ്ക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്ത്, എന്റെ പ്രാണന് അനാഥത്വം വരുത്തുന്നു. BSB BSB: They repay me evil for good, to the bereavement of my soul.
13 ULB ഞാനോ, അവർ ദീനമായി കിടന്നപ്പോൾ ചണവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു; ഉപവാസം കൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ എളിമപ്പെട്ടു. എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന വീണ്ടും എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിവന്നു. BSB BSB: Yet when they were ill, I put on sackcloth; I humbled myself with fasting, but my prayers returned unanswered.
14 ULB ഒരു സ്നേഹിതനോ സഹോദരനോ എന്നപോലെ ഞാൻ അവനോട് പെരുമാറി; അമ്മയെക്കുറിച്ച് വിലപിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ ദുഃഖിച്ച് കുനിഞ്ഞുനടന്നു. BSB BSB: I paced about as for my friend or brother; I was bowed down with grief, like one mourning for his mother.
15 ULB അവരോ എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ സന്തോഷിച്ച് കൂട്ടം കൂടി; ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത അക്രമികൾ എനിക്ക് വിരോധമായി കൂടിവന്നു, അവർ ഇടവിടാതെ എന്നെ പഴിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: But when I stumbled, they assembled in glee; they gathered together against me. Assailants I did not know slandered me without ceasing.
16 ULB വിരുന്നു വീട്ടിലെ പരിഹാസികളായ വഷളന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ പല്ലു കടിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Like godless jesters at a feast, they gnashed their teeth at me.
17 ULB കർത്താവേ, നീ എത്രത്തോളം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും? അവരുടെ നാശകരമായ പ്രവൃത്തിയിൽനിന്ന് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെയും ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് എന്റെ ജിവനെയും വിടുവിക്കണമേ. BSB BSB: How long, O Lord, will You look on? Rescue my soul from their ravages, my precious life from these lions.
18 ULB ഞാൻ മഹാസഭയിൽ നിനക്ക് സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും; ബഹുജനത്തിന്റെ നദുവിൽ നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കും. BSB BSB: Then I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people.
19 ULB വെറുതെ എനിക്ക് ശത്രുക്കളായവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ; കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്നെ പകയ്ക്കുന്നവർ പരിഹാസത്തോടെ കണ്ണിമയ്ക്കുകയും അരുതേ. BSB BSB: Let not my enemies gloat over me without cause, nor those who hate me without reason wink in malice.
20 ULB അവർ സമാധാനവാക്കുകൾ സംസാരിക്കാതെ ദേശത്തിലെ സാധുക്കളുടെ നേരെ വ്യാജകാര്യങ്ങളെ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful schemes against those who live quietly in the land.

22 ULB യഹോവേ, നീ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ; മൗനമായിരിക്കരുതേ; കർത്താവേ, എന്നോട് അകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ, BSB BSB: O LORD, You have seen it; be not silent. O Lord, be not far from me.
23 ULB എന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്റെ കർത്താവുമായുള്ള യഹോവേ, ഉണർന്ന് എന്റെ ന്യായത്തിനും വ്യവഹാരത്തിനും വേണ്ടി ജാഗരിക്കണമേ. BSB BSB: Awake and rise to my defense, to my cause, my God and my Lord!
24 ULB എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ നീതി നിമിത്തം എനിക്ക് ന്യായം പാലിച്ചു തരണമേ; അവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ. BSB BSB: Vindicate me by Your righteousness, O LORD my God, and do not let them gloat over me.
25 ULB അവർ അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ: “നന്നായി, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആഗ്രഹം സാധിച്ചു” എന്ന് പറയരുതേ; “ഞങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു” എന്നും പറയരുതേ. BSB BSB: Let them not say in their hearts, “Aha, just what we wanted!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up!”
26 ULB എന്റെ അനർത്ഥത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നവർ എല്ലാം ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ; എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പുപറയുന്നവർ ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും ധരിക്കട്ടെ. BSB BSB: May those who gloat in my distress be ashamed and confounded; may those who exalt themselves over me be clothed in shame and reproach.
27 ULB എന്റെ നീതിയിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നവർ ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ; “തന്റെ ദാസന്റെ ശ്രേയസ്സിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ മഹത്വമുള്ളവൻ” എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവർ എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ. BSB BSB: May those who favor my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, “Exalted be the LORD who delights in His servant’s well-being.”
28 ULB എന്റെ നാവ് നിന്റെ നീതിയെയും ദിവസം മുഴുവൻ നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയെയും വർണ്ണിക്കും. BSB BSB: Then my tongue will proclaim Your righteousness and Your praises all day long.
