1इस्राएलाच्या सर्व लोकांची नोंद वंशावळीप्रमाणे केलेली आहे. इस्राएलाच्या राजाच्या पुस्तकात ती लिहिलेली आहे. त्यांच्या पापामुळे यहूदाच्या लोकांस बाबेल येथे कैद करून नेण्यात आले.So all Israel was recorded in the genealogies written in the Book of the Kings of Israel. But Judah was exiled to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness.

2त्यापैकी जे सगळ्यात आधी आपल्या, नगरात येऊन राहिले ते म्हणजे इस्राएल लोक याजक, लेवी आणि मंदिरातील कामकरी वर्ग.Now the first to resettle their own property in their cities were Israelites, priests, Levites, and temple servants.

3यरुशलेमामध्ये राहणाऱ्या यहूदा, बन्यामीन, एफ्राईम आणि मनश्शे घराण्यातील लोक राहत होते.Some of the descendants of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh lived in Jerusalem:

4ऊथय हा अम्मीहूदचा पुत्र. अम्मीहूद हा अम्रीचा पुत्र. अम्री इम्रीचा पुत्र. इम्री बानीचा पुत्र. बानी पेरेसच्या वंशजांपैकी. पेरेस हा यहूदाचा पुत्र.Uthai son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, a descendant of Perez son of Judah.

5यरुशलेमामध्ये राहणारे शिलोनी लोक असे, ज्येष्ठ पुत्र असाया आणि त्याचे पुत्र.From the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn and his sons.

6यरुशलेममधील जेरह चे वंशज म्हणजे यऊवेल आणि त्याचे एकंदर सहाशे नव्वद भाऊबंद.From the Zerahites: Jeuel and 690 relatives.

7बन्यामीन घराण्यातील लोक: सल्लू हा मशुल्लामचा पुत्र. मशुल्लाम होदव्याचा पुत्र. होदवा हस्सनुवाचा पुत्र.From the Benjamites: Sallu son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah;

8इबनया हा यरोहामाचा पुत्र. एला उज्जीचा पुत्र. उज्जी मिख्रीचा पुत्र. मशुल्लाम शफाट्याचा पुत्र. शफाट्या रगुवेलचा पुत्र रगुवेल इबनीया याचा पुत्र.Ibneiah son of Jeroham; Elah son of Uzzi, the son of Michri; Meshullam son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;

9त्याचे नातेवाइक वंशावळीच्या यादीत लिहिले ते एकंदर नऊशें छपन्न होते. हे सर्व आपापल्या घराण्यांचे प्रमुख होते.and 956 of their relatives according to their genealogy. All these men were heads of their families.

10यरुशलेममधील याजक यदया, यहोयारीब, याखीन, अजऱ्या.From the priests: Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, and Jachin;

11अजऱ्या हा हिल्कीयाचा पुत्र. हिल्कीया मशुल्लामचा पुत्र. मशुल्लाम सादोकाचा. सादोक मरायोथचा आणि मरायोथ अहीटूबचा पुत्र. अहीटूब हा देवाच्या मंदिरावरील प्रमुख अधिकारी होता.Azariah son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the chief official of God’s temple;

12यरोहामाचा पुत्र अदाया होता. यहोराम हा पशहूरचा पुत्र. पशहूर मल्कीयाचा, आणि अदीएलचा पुत्र मसय. अदीएल यहजेराचा पुत्र, यहजेरा मशुल्लामचा पुत्र, मशुल्लेम मशिल्लेमीथचा, मशिल्लेमीथ इम्मेराचा पुत्र.Adaiah son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah; Maasai son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

13असे एकंदर एक हजार सातशे साठ याजक होते. ते आपापल्या घराण्यांचे मुख्य होते. देवाच्या मंदिरातील सेवेच्या कामात फार प्रवीण होते.and 1,760 of their relatives, the heads of their families, able men for the work of the service of the house of God.

14यरुशलेममधील लेवी घराण्यातले लोक हश्शूबचा पुत्र शमाया. हश्शूब अज्रीकामचा पुत्र. अज्रीकाम हशब्याचा पुत्र. हशब्या हा मरारीच्या वंशातला.From the Levites: Shemaiah son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, a descendant of Merari;

15याखेरीज बकूबकर, हेरेश, गालाल आणि मतन्या हे ही यरुशलेमामध्ये राहत होते. मत्तन्या मीखाचा पुत्र. मीखा जिख्रीचा पुत्र. जिख्री आसाफचा पुत्र.Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

16ओबद्या शमाया याचा पुत्र. शमाया गालालचा पुत्र. गालाल यदूथूनचा पुत्र. याखेरीज आसा याचा पुत्र बरेख्या हाही तेथे राहत होता. आसा एलकानाचा पुत्र. हा नटोफाथी लोकांच्या जवळच्या छोट्या गावांमध्ये राहत होता.Obadiah son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.

17यरुशलेममधील द्वाररक्षक शल्लूम, अक्कूब, तल्मोन, अहीमान आणि त्यांचे नातलग. शल्लूम हा त्यांच्यावरचा मुख्य.These were the gatekeepers: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their relatives. Shallum was their chief;

20पूर्वी फिनहास द्वारपालाचा प्रमुख होता. फिनहास हा एलाजाराचा पुत्र. परमेश्वर त्याच्या बरोबर होता.In earlier times Phinehas son of Eleazar had been in charge of the gatekeepers, and the LORD was with him.

21मशेलेम्या याचा पुत्र जखऱ्या “दर्शनमंडपाचा” द्वारपाल होता.Zechariah son of Meshelemiah was the gatekeeper at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

22निवासमंडपाचे रक्षण करणारे असे एकंदर दोनशे बारा निवडक द्वाररक्षक होते. आपापल्या गावांच्या वंशावळ्यांमध्ये त्यांची नावे लिहिलेली आहेत. त्यांचा विश्वासूपणा पाहून दावीद आणि शमुवेल संदेष्टा यांनी त्यांची नेमणूक केली होतीThe number of those chosen to be gatekeepers at the thresholds was 212. They were registered by genealogy in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed them to their positions of trust.

23परमेश्वराच्या मंदिराच्या, निवासमंडपाच्या प्रवेशद्वारांवर राखण करण्याची जबाबदारी या द्वारपालांची आणि त्यांच्या वंशजांची होती.So they and their descendants were assigned to guard the gates of the house of the LORD—the house called the Tent.

24पूर्व, पश्चिम, उत्तर, दक्षिण अशी चार दिशांना प्रवेशद्वारे होती.The gatekeepers were stationed on the four sides: east, west, north, and south.

25आसपासच्या गावांमध्ये राहणारे द्वारपालांचे नातेवाईक वेळोवेळी त्यांच्या मदतीला येत. आले की सलग सात दिवस मदतीला राहत.Their relatives came from their villages at fixed times to serve with them for seven-day periods.

26या सर्व द्वारपालांचे नायकत्व चार लेवी द्वारपालांकडे होते. देवाच्या मंदिरातील खोल्या आणि खजिना यांची जपणूक करण्याचे काम त्यांचे होते.But the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted with the rooms and the treasuries of the house of God.

27देवाच्या मंदिरावर पहारा करण्यासाठी ते रात्रभर त्यासभोवती जागे राहत. दररोज सकाळी मंदिराचे दरवाजे उघडण्याचे काम त्यांच्याकडे होते.They would spend the night stationed around the house of God, because they were responsible for guarding it and opening it every morning.

28त्यांच्यातले काहीजण मंदिरात उपयोगात येणाऱ्या पात्रांची देखभाल करत. ती पात्रे बाहेर काढताना आणि पुन्हा आत ठेवताना ते ती मोजून ठेवत असत.Some of them were in charge of the articles used in worship, to count them whenever they were brought in or taken out.

39नेर हा कीशाचा पिता होता. कीश शौलाचा पिता होता. शौल योनाथान, मलकीशुवा, अबीनादाब आणि एश्बालाचा पिता होता.Ner was the father of Kish, Kish was the father of Saul, and Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal.

40मरीब्बाल हा योनाथानाचा पुत्र. मीखा हा मरीब्बालाचा पुत्र.The son of Jonathan: Merib-baal, who was the father of Micah.

41पीथोन, मेलेख आणि तरहेया हे मीखाचे पुत्र.The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.
