12 ULB दावीद उरीयाला म्हणाला, आजच्या दिवस इथे राहा उद्या मी तुला युध्दभूमीवर पाठवतो. उरीयाने त्या दिवशी यरुशलेमेमध्येच मुक्काम केला. BSB BSB: “Stay here one more day,” David said to Uriah, “and tomorrow I will send you back.” So Uriah stayed in Jerusalem that day and the next.
13 ULB दुसऱ्या दिवशी सकाळी दावीदाने त्यास भेटायला बोलावले. दावीदाबरोबर उरीयाने भोजन केले. दावीदाने त्यास बेहोश होईपर्यंत मद्य पाजले पण तरी उरीया घरी गेला नाही. त्या संध्याकाळीसुद्धा तो राजाच्या सेवकांबरोबरच महालाच्या दाराशी झोपायला गेला. BSB BSB: Then David invited Uriah to eat and drink with him, and he got Uriah drunk. And in the evening Uriah went out to lie down on his cot with his master’s servants, but he did not go home.
14 ULB दुसऱ्या दिवशी सकाळी दावीदाने यवाबासाठी एक पत्र लिहून ते उरीयाला न्यायला सांगितले. BSB BSB: The next morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah.
15 ULB त्या पत्रात दावीदाने लिहिले होते, आघाडीवर जेथे तुंबळ युध्द चालले असेल, तेथे उरीयाला पाठवा. त्यास एकट्याला तेथे सोडा, म्हणजे तो युध्दात कामी येईल. 22 ULB निरोप्याने दावीदाकडे जाऊन यवाबाने जे जे सांगायला सांगितले ते सर्व कथन केले. BSB BSB: So the messenger set out and reported to David all that Joab had sent him to say.

25 ULB दावीद त्या निरोप्याला म्हणाला, यवाबाला सांग निराश होऊ नको. हिम्मत सोडू नको. तलवारीने कोणाचाही संहार होऊ शकतो. राब्बावर आणखी जोरदार हल्ला चढवा, तुम्ही जिंकाल. यवाबाला माझा हा निरोप सांगून प्रोत्साहन दे. BSB BSB: Then David told the messenger, “Say this to Joab: ‘Do not let this matter upset you, for the sword devours one as well as another. Strengthen your attack against the city and demolish it.’ Encourage him with these words.”
26 ULB उरीया मरण पावल्याचे बथशेबाला कळले तिने पतिनिधनाबद्दल शोक केला. BSB BSB: When Uriah’s wife heard that her husband was dead, she mourned for him.
