11 ULB परमेश्वर म्हणतो, आता तुझ्यावर संकटे कोसळतील. अडचणींना सुरुवात तुझ्या घरातूनच होईल. तुझ्या स्त्रिया तुझ्यापासून मी हिरावून घेऊन. त्या तुझ्या एका आप्ताच्याच हवाली करीन. तो तुझ्या बायकां बरोबर झोपेल आणि ही गोष्ट सर्वांसमक्ष घडेल. BSB BSB: This is what the LORD says: ‘I will raise up adversity against you from your own house. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to another, and he will lie with them in broad daylight.

13 ULB मग दावीद नाथानला म्हणाला, माझ्याहातून परमेश्वराचा मोठा अपराध घडला आहे. नाथान तेव्हा दावीदाला म्हणाला, परमेश्वराने हा तुझा अपराध दूर केला आहे. तू मरणार नाहीस. BSB BSB: Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” “The LORD has taken away your sin,” Nathan replied. “You will not die.
14 ULB पण परमेश्वराच्या शत्रूंना तू त्याचा उपहास करायला मोठे कारण दिलेस, म्हणून हा तुझा पुत्र मरेल. BSB BSB: Nevertheless, because by this deed you have shown utter contempt for the word of the LORD, the son born to you will surely die.”
15 ULB यानंतर नाथान घरी परतला. उरीयाची पत्नी बथशेबा आणि दावीद यांना झालेला मुलगा परमेश्वराच्या कोपामुळे खूप आजारी पडला. BSB BSB: After Nathan had gone home, the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife had borne to David, and he became ill.
16 ULB दावीदाने बाळासाठी देवाची प्रार्थना केली. दावीदाने अन्नपाण्याचा त्याग केला. घरात जाऊन रात्रभर जमिनीवर पडून राहिला. BSB BSB: David pleaded with God for the boy. He fasted and went into his house and spent the night lying in sackcloth on the ground.
17 ULB घरातील वडीलधाऱ्या मनुष्यांनी येऊन दावीदाला जमिनीवरून उठवायचा खूप प्रयत्न केला. पण काही केल्या दावीद तेथून हलेना. त्यांच्याबरोबर खायला प्यायलाही त्याने नकार दिला. 18 ULB सातव्या दिवशी ते मूल मरण पावले. मुलाच्या मृत्यूची बातमी दावीदाला द्यायला त्याचे नोकर कचरु लागले. ते म्हणाले, मुलगा जिवंत असतानाही आम्ही दावीदाशी बोलायला गेलो तरी तो ऐकत नसे, मग आता तर मूल मरण पावले असे आम्ही सांगितले तर तो आपल्या जिवाचे काही बरेवाईट करून घेईल. But David’s servants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, “Look, while the child was alive, we spoke to him, and he would not listen to us. So how can we tell him the child is dead? He may even harm himself.”
19 ULB पण आपल्या नोकरांची कुजबूज दावीदाने ऐकली त्यावरून मूल गेल्याचे तो मनोमन उमजला. त्याने नोकरांना विचारले, मूल गेले का? नोकरांनी होय म्हणून उत्तर दिले. BSB BSB: When David saw that his servants were whispering to one another, he perceived that the child was dead. So he asked his servants, “Is the child dead?” “He is dead,” they replied.
20 ULB तेव्हा दावीद जमिनीवरून उठला त्यांने आंघोळ केली, कपडे बदलून तयार झाला. मग आराधना करण्यासाठी परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात गेला. त्यानंतर घरी जाऊन त्याने खायला मागितले. सेवकांनी त्यास वाढले आणि तो जेवला. BSB BSB: Then David got up from the ground, washed and anointed himself, changed his clothes, and went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house, and at his request they set food before him, and he ate.
21 ULB दावीदाचे सेवक त्यास म्हणाले, तुम्ही असे का वागलात? मूल जिवंत असताना तुम्ही अन्नत्याग केलात, शोक केलात. पण मुलगा वारल्यावर मात्र तुम्ही उठलात आणि खाल्लेत. 22 ULB दावीदाने सांगितले, मूल जिवंत होते तेव्हा मी अन्न वर्ज्य केले आणि शोक केला, कारण मला वाटले न जाणो परमेश्वरास माझी दया येईल आणि बाळ जगेल. BSB BSB: David answered, “While the child was alive, I fasted and wept, for I said, ‘Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let him live.’

24 ULB दावीदाने मग आपली पत्नी बथशेबा हिचे सांत्वन केले. तिच्याशी त्याने शरीरसंबंध केला. बथशेबा पुन्हा गरोदर राहिली. तिला दुसरा मुलगा झाला. दावीदाने त्याचे नाव शलमोन ठेवले. शलमोनावर परमेश्वराची प्रीती होती. BSB BSB: Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and lay with her. So she gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. Now the LORD loved the child
25 ULB त्याने नाथान या संदेष्ट्यामार्फत दावीदाला निरोप पाठविला. नाथानने त्याचे नाव यदीद्या, म्हणजेच देवाला प्रिय असे ठेवले. परमेश्वराच्या वतीने नाथानने हे केले. BSB BSB: and sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah because the LORD loved him.
26 ULB अम्मोन्यांच्या राब्बावर हल्ला करून यवाबाने हे राजधानीचे नगर काबीज केले. BSB BSB: Meanwhile, Joab fought against Rabbah of the Ammonites and captured the royal fortress.
27 ULB यवाबाने निरोप्यामार्फत दावीदाला निरोप पाठवला राब्बाशी लढाई देऊन मी हे जलनगर हस्तगत केले आहे. BSB BSB: Then Joab sent messengers to David to say, “I have fought against Rabbah and have captured the water supply of the city.

29 ULB मग दावीद सर्व लोकांस घेऊन राब्बाकडे गेला. राब्बा येथे लढाई करून त्याने त्याचा ताबा घेतला. BSB BSB: So David assembled all the troops and went to Rabbah; and he fought against it and captured it.

31 ULB राब्बा नगरातील लोकांसही त्याने बाहेर नेले त्यांना कुऱ्हाडी, करवती, लोखंडी दाताळी यांनी काम करायला ठेवले. त्यांच्याकडून जबरदस्तीने वीट कामही करून घेतले. सर्व अम्मोनी नगरांमध्ये दावीदाने असेच केले. नंतर दावीद आपल्या सैन्यासह यरुशलेमेला परतला. BSB BSB: David brought out the people who were there and put them to work with saws, iron picks, and axes, and he made them work at the brick kilns. He did the same to all the Ammonite cities. Then David and all his troops returned to Jerusalem.
