4 ULB जर खरच मी काही चुक केली असेल तर, ती चुक माझी मला आहे. BSB BSB: Even if I have truly gone astray, my error concerns me alone.
5 ULB तुम्ही माझ्यापेक्षा चांगले आहात एवढेच तुम्हास दाखवायचे आहे, माझी संकटे माझ्या चुकीमुळेच निर्माण झाली आहेत असे तुम्ही (उगीचच) म्हणता. BSB BSB: If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me and use my disgrace against me,
6 ULB मग तुम्हास हे माहीती पाहीजे कि, देवानेच मला पकडण्यासाठी जाळे टाकले आहे. BSB BSB: then understand that it is God who has wronged me and drawn His net around me.
7 ULB ‘पाहा, असे मी ओरडतो कि मी चुकीचे केले आहे, पण कोणी ऐकले नाही. मी मदतीसाठी जोरात ओरडलो तरी न्याय मिळत नाही. BSB BSB: Though I cry out, ‘Violence!’ I get no response; though I call for help, there is no justice.
8 ULB मी पुढे जाऊ नये म्हणून देवाने माझ्या मार्गात अडथळा आणला. त्याने माझ्या मार्गावर अंधकार पाडला आहे. BSB BSB: He has blocked my way so I cannot pass; He has veiled my paths with darkness.
9 ULB देवाने माझी प्रतिष्ठा धुळीला मिळवली. आणि त्याने माझ्या डोक्यावरचा मुकुट काढून घेतला. BSB BSB: He has stripped me of my honor and removed the crown from my head.
10 ULB माझा सर्वनाश होईपर्यंत देव मला चाऱ्ही बाजूंनी झोडपतो. एखादे झाड मुळासकट उपटून काढावे त्याप्रमाणे त्याने माझ्या आशा उपटून टाकल्या आहेत. BSB BSB: He tears me down on every side until I am gone; He uproots my hope like a tree.

14 ULB माझे नातलग मला सोडून गेले आहेत, माझ्या जवळचे मित्र मला विसरले आहेत. BSB BSB: My kinsmen have failed me, and my friends have forgotten me.
15 ULB माझ्या घरी येणारे पाहुणे आणि माझ्या दासी मला परका आणि परदेशातला समजतात, मी त्यांच्या दृष्टीने उपरा झालो आहे. BSB BSB: My guests and maidservants count me as a stranger; I am a foreigner in their sight.
16 ULB जरी मी माझ्या मुखाने याचना केली, माझ्या नोकराला बोलावले, तरी तो मला उत्तर देत नाही, BSB BSB: I call for my servant, but he does not answer, though I implore him with my own mouth.
17 ULB माझी पत्नी माझ्या श्वासाचा तिरस्कार करते, माझे स्वतःचे भाऊ आणि बहिणी माझा तिरस्कार करतात. BSB BSB: My breath is repulsive to my wife, and I am loathsome to my own family.
18 ULB लहान मुलेदेखील मला चिडवतात, जेव्हा मी बोलायला जातो तेव्हा ते माझ्या विरूद्ध बोलतात. BSB BSB: Even little boys scorn me; when I appear, they deride me.
19 ULB माझे जवळचे मित्रदेखील माझा तिरस्कार करतात. माझे ज्यांच्यावर प्रेम आहे ते लोक देखील माझ्याविरुध्द गेले आहेत. BSB BSB: All my best friends despise me, and those I love have turned against me.
20 ULB मी इतका कृश झालो आहे की माझी कातडी हाडांवर लोबंते, मी केवळ दाताच्या कातडीने बचावलो आहे. BSB BSB: My skin and flesh cling to my bones; I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.
21 ULB माझी दया येऊ द्या, मित्रांनो, तुम्हास माझी दया येऊ द्या! कारण देवाचा हात मजवर पडला आहे. BSB BSB: Have pity on me, my friends, have pity, for the hand of God has struck me.
22 ULB तुम्ही माझा छळ असा करीत आहात जसे तुम्ही देव आहात. माझ्या देहाला सतत त्रास देण्याचा तुम्हास कंटाळा येत नाही का? BSB BSB: Why do you persecute me as God does? Will you never get enough of my flesh?
23 ULB अहो, मी जे बोलतो ते कुणीतरी लिहून ठेवावे! अहो, ते पुस्तकात नमुद करून ठेवायला हवेत. BSB BSB: I wish that my words were recorded and inscribed in a book,
24 ULB अहो, मी जे बोलतो ते लोखंडी कलमाने शिश्यावर किंवा पाषाणावर कोरुन कायम करायला हवे. BSB BSB: by an iron stylus on lead, or chiseled in stone forever.
25 ULB माझा तारण करणारा जिवंत आहे याची मला खात्री आहे. आणि शेवटी तो या पृथ्वीतलावर येऊन उभा राहील. BSB BSB: But I know that my Redeemer lives, and in the end He will stand upon the earth.
26 ULB मी जेव्हा माझे शरीर सोडून जाईन तेव्हा आणि माझी कातडी नष्ट होईल तेव्हा सुध्दा मी देवाला पाहू शकेन. BSB BSB: Even after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God.
27 ULB मी देवाला बघेन, तर मी स्वत:च त्यास पाहीन, माझे डोळे त्यास पाहतील, आणि ते परक्यासारखे राहणार नाही. माझा अतंरात्मा झुरत आहे. BSB BSB: I will see Him for myself; my eyes will behold Him, and not as a stranger. How my heart yearns within me!
28 ULB या सगळ्याचे मुळ माझ्याकडेच आढळून आले आहे, म्हणून याचा छळ कोणत्या प्रकारे करावा असे तुम्ही म्हणाल. BSB BSB: If you say, ‘Let us persecute him, since the root of the matter lies with him,’
29 ULB तर तुम्हास तलवारीची भीती वाटायला हवी, कारण रागामुळे तलवारीने शासन होते, यावरुन तुम्हास कळेल की न्याय आहे.” BSB BSB: then you should fear the sword yourselves, because wrath brings punishment by the sword, so that you may know there is a judgment.”
