1. 1ULBप्रारंभी शब्द होता, शब्द देवासह होता आणि शब्द देव होता.BSBBSB: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2. 2ULBतोच प्रारंभी देवासह होता.BSBBSB: He was with God in the beginning.
3. 3ULBसर्वकाही त्याच्याद्वारे झाले आणि जे काही झाले ते त्याने केल्यावांचून झाले नाही.BSBBSB: Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.
4. 4ULBत्याच्यामध्ये जीवन होते; आणि ते जीवन मनुष्यमात्राचा प्रकाश होते.BSBBSB: In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.

7. 7ULBतो साक्षीकरीता, त्या प्रकाशाविषयी साक्ष द्यावी म्हणून आला; यासाठी की सर्वांनी त्याच्याद्वारे विश्वास ठेवावा.BSBBSB: He came as a witness to testify about the Light, so that through him everyone might believe.
8. 8ULBयोहान तो प्रकाश नव्हता, पण त्या प्रकाशाविषयी साक्ष द्यावी म्हणून आला.BSBBSB: He himself was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light.
9. 9ULBजो खरा प्रकाश प्रत्येक मनुष्यास प्रकाशित करतो तो जगात येणार होता.BSBBSB: The true Light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
10. 10ULBतो जगात होता व जग त्याच्याद्वारे निर्माण झाले, तरी जगाने त्यास ओळखले नाही.BSBBSB: He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him.
11. 11ULBजे त्याचे स्वतःचे त्यांच्याकडे तो आला, तरी त्याच्या स्वकीयांनी त्याचा स्वीकार केला नाही.BSBBSB: He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
12. 12ULBपण जितक्यांनी त्याचा स्वीकार केला, म्हणजे त्याच्या नावावर विश्वास ठेवला, तितक्यांना त्याने देवाची मुले होण्याचा अधिकार दिला.BSBBSB: But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—
13. 13ULBत्यांचा जन्म रक्त किंवा देहाची इच्छा किंवा मनुष्याची इच्छा यापासून झाला नाही, तर देवापासून झाला.BSBBSB: children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God.

He cried out, saying, “This is He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me.’”

18. “The only Son” or “the only God”
    18ULBदेवाला कोणीही कधीहि पाहिले नाही. जो देवाचा एकुलता एक पुत्र पित्याच्या उराशी असतो त्याने त्यास प्रकट केले आहे.BSBBSB: No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is at the Father’s side, has made Him known.
19. 19ULBआणि योहानाची साक्ष ही आहे; जेव्हा यहूदी अधिकाऱ्यांनी यरुशलेम शहराहून याजक व लेवी यांना त्यास विचारायला पाठवले की, “तू कोण आहे?”BSBBSB: And this was John’s testimony when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him, “Who are you?”
20. 20ULBत्याने उघडपणे कबूल केले, नाकारले नाही, “मी ख्रिस्त नाही,” असे त्याने कबूल केले.BSBBSB: He did not refuse to confess, but openly declared, “I am not the Christ.”

30. 30ULBज्याच्याविषयी मी म्हणालो होतो की, ‘माझ्यामागून एकजण येत आहे तो माझ्या पुढचा झाला आहे कारण तो माझ्या पूर्वी होता,’ तो हाच आहे.BSBBSB: This is He of whom I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me.’
31. 31ULBमी त्यास ओळखत नव्हतो; तरी त्याने इस्राएलात प्रकट व्हावे म्हणून मी पाण्याने बाप्तिस्मा करीत आलो आहे.”BSBBSB: I myself did not know Him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that He might be revealed to Israel.”
32. 32ULBयोहानाने अशी साक्ष दिली की, “आत्मा कबुतरासारखा आकाशातून उतरत असतांना आणि त्याच्यावर स्थिर राहिलेला मी पाहिला.BSBBSB: Then John testified, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove and resting on Him.
33. 33ULBमी तर त्यास ओळखत नव्हतो, तरी मी पाण्याने बाप्तिस्मा करावा म्हणून ज्याने मला पाठवले त्याने मला सांगितले की, ‘तू ज्या कोणावर आत्मा उतरत असतांना आणि स्थिर राहिलेला पाहशील तोच पवित्र आत्म्याने बाप्तिस्मा करणारा आहे.’BSBBSB: I myself did not know Him, but the One who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is He who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
34. 34ULBमी स्वतः पाहिले आहे आणि साक्ष दिली आहे की, हा देवाचा पुत्र आहे.”BSBBSB: I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
35. 35ULBत्यानंतर दुसर्‍या दिवशी योहान व त्याच्या शिष्यांतील दोघांसह उभा असता;BSBBSB: The next day John was there again with two of his disciples.
36. 36ULBयेशूला जातांना न्याहाळून पाहून म्हणाला, “हा पाहा, देवाचा कोकरा!”BSBBSB: When he saw Jesus walking by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”
37. 37ULBत्याचे हे म्हणणे त्या दोघा शिष्यांनी ऐकले आणि ते येशूच्या मागोमाग निघाले.BSBBSB: And when the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.
38. 38ULBतेव्हा येशू वळून त्यांना आपल्यामागे येताना पाहून म्हणाला, “तुम्ही काय शोधीता?” ते त्यास म्हणाले, “रब्बी, (म्हणजे गुरूजी) आपण कोठे राहता?”BSBBSB: Jesus turned and saw them following. “What do you want?” He asked. They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are You staying?”
39. 39ULBतो त्यांना म्हणाला, “या म्हणजे पाहाल.” मग त्यांनी जाऊन तो कोठे राहतो ते बघितले आणि ते त्यादिवशी त्याच्या येथे राहिले; तेव्हा तो सुमारे चार वाजले होते.BSBBSB: “Come and see,” He replied. So they went and saw where He was staying, and spent that day with Him. It was about the tenth hour.

42. 42ULBत्याने त्यास येशूकडे आणले; येशूने त्याच्याकडे न्याहाळून पाहून म्हटले, “तू योहानाचा पुत्र शिमोन आहेस. तुला केफा (म्हणजे पेत्र किंवा खडक) म्हणतील.”BSBBSB: Andrew brought him to Jesus, who looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which is translated as Peter).
43. 43ULBदुसर्‍या दिवशी त्याने गालील प्रांतात जाण्याचा बेत केला; आणि तेव्हा फिलिप्प त्यास भेटला; येशूने त्यास म्हटले, “माझ्यामागे ये.”BSBBSB: The next day Jesus decided to set out for Galilee. Finding Philip, He told him, “Follow Me.”
44. 44ULBआता, फिलिप्प बेथसैदाचा, म्हणजे अंद्रिया व पेत्र यांच्या नगराचा होता.BSBBSB: Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the same town as Andrew and Peter.
45. 45ULBफिलिप्पाला नथनेल भेटल्यावर तो त्यास म्हणाला, “ज्याच्याविषयी मोशेने नियमशास्त्रात लिहिले व तसेच संदेष्ट्यांनी लिहिले, तो म्हणजे योसेफाचा पुत्र येशू नासरेथकर आम्हास सापडला आहे.”BSBBSB: Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the One Moses wrote about in the Law, the One the prophets foretold—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
46. 46ULBनथनेल त्यास म्हणाला, “नासरेथमधून काहीतरी उत्तम निघू शकेल काय?” फिल्लीपाने त्यास म्हणाला, “येऊन पाहा.”BSBBSB: “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip.
47. 47ULBनथनेल आपल्याकडे येत आहे हे येशूने बघितले व तो म्हणाला, “पाहा, हा खरा इस्राएली आहे, याच्यात कपट नाही.”BSBBSB: When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, He said of him, “Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceit.”
48. 48ULBनथनेल त्यास म्हणाला, “आपणांला माझी ओळख कोठली?” येशूने त्यास उत्तर दिले, “तुला फिल्लीपाने बोलावले त्यापुर्वी तू अंजिराच्या झाडाखाली होतास तेव्हाच मी तुला बघितले.”BSBBSB: “How do You know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus replied, “Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.”
49. 49ULBनथनेलाने उत्तर दिले, “रब्बी, आपण देवाचे पुत्र आहा, आपण इस्राएलाचे राजे आहात.”BSBBSB: “Rabbi,” Nathanael answered, “You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”
50. 50ULBयेशूने त्यास उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “मी तुला अंजिराच्या झाडाखाली पाहिले असे तुला सांगितले म्हणून तू विश्वास ठेवतोस काय? तू याच्यापेक्षा मोठ्या गोष्टी पाहशील.”BSBBSB: Jesus said to him, “Do you believe just because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than these.”
51. 51ULBआणखी तो त्यास म्हणाला, “मी तुम्हास खरे खरे सांगतो, तुम्ही यापुढे आकाश उघडलेले आणि देवदूतांना चढताना व मनुष्याच्या पुत्रावर उतरत असताना पहाल.”BSBBSB: Then He declared, “Truly, truly, I tell you, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
