BSB BSB: Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves those born of Him.
2 PBA De'ngan ika, kita tau be'he'sanya kita me'ngasihi anak-anak Tuan Allah, apabe'la kita me'ngasihi Tuan Allah de'ngan patoh pe'he'ndah-pe'he'ndahNya. BSB BSB: By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep His commandments.

5 PBA Sapa nang me'ngalahkan dunie' kalau buke'n die' nang pe'caya be'he'sanya Yesus ade' ah Anak Tuan Allah? BSB BSB: Who then overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

12 PBA Tiap uhang nang de'lam Sang Anak die' de'pat idup; tiap ohang nang kok de'lam Anak Tuan Allah kok de'pat idup. BSB BSB: Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
14 PBA Juge' ika ah keyakinan nang kame' punya be'k de'pan Die', yaitu kalau kita minda apapon nang se'suai de'ngan ke'nak ati Die', Die' ne'nge'ng kita. BSB BSB: And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15 PBA Kalau kita tau Die' ne'ngeng kita, apapon nang kita pinda, kita tau be'he'sanya kita lah ade' permohonan nang lah kita pinda agi Die.' BSB BSB: And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.
16 PBA Kalau ade' uhang nang nye'ngo, h se'de'hanya be'bue't dosa nang me'ngahah ke' ke'matian, mole'knya ohang itu minda de'ngan Tuan Allah nak me'hi idup be'k ohang nang be'bue't dosa nang kok me'ngahah ke' kematian; Namun, ade' sato dosa nang m'engahah ke kematian; aku kok nyakap be'he'sanya dia naknya be'tanya ondok dosa itu. BSB BSB: If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he should ask God, who will give life to those who commit this kind of sin. There is a sin that leads to death; I am not saying he should ask regarding that sin.

18 PBA Kita tau be'he'sanya tiap uhang nang lae'h agi Tuan Allah kok be'bue't dosa, tapi die' nang lae, h agi Tuan Allah nang nye'ge'nya si je'e't kok de'pat nge'nde'hnya. BSB BSB: We know that anyone born of God does not keep on sinning; the One who was born of God protects him, and the evil one cannot touch him.
19 PBA Kita tau be'he'sanya kita ka asalnya agi Tuan Allah, de'ngan se'luhuh dunie' ade' be'k de'lam kuasa si je'e't. BSB BSB: We know that we are of God, and that the whole world is under the power of the evil one.
20 PBA Kita tau be'he'sanya Anak Allah lah de'tang dan lah me'hi pe'ngertian be'k kita mak kita de'pat nge'nal Die' de'ngan be'ne'h; kita ade' be'k de'lam Die' nang be'ne'h, de'lam Anak-Nya Yesus Kristus. Die' ah Tuan Allah nang be'ne'h dan idup nang ke'kal. BSB BSB: And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
21 PBA Anak-anakku, je'uhkan ah dihi mdike'u agi berhala-berhala. BSB BSB: Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
