2. 1MURLet not your heart be troubled: believe in God, and, believe in me.BSBBSB: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well.
3. 2MURThere are many mansions in the house of my Father: and if not, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.BSBBSB: In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
4. 3MURAnd if I go to prepare for you a place, I will come again and take you to myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.BSBBSB: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.
5. 4MURAnd whither I go, ye know; and the way ye know.BSBBSB: You know the way to the place where I am going.”

7. 5MURThomas said to him: Our Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?BSBBSB: “Lord,” said Thomas, “we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?”
8. 6MURJesus said to him: I am the way, and truth, and life: no one cometh unto my Father, but by me.BSBBSB: Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
9. 7MURIf ye had known me, ye would also have known my Father: and henceforth, ye know him, and have seen him.BSBBSB: If you had known Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.”

11. 9MURJesus said to him: Have I been all this time with you, and hast thou not known me, Philip? He that seeth me, seeth the Father: and how sayest thou, Show us the Father?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
12. 10MURBelievest thou not, that I am in my Father, and my Father in me? And the words which I speak, I speak not from myself: but my Father, who dwelleth in me, he doeth these works.BSBBSB: Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. Instead, it is the Father dwelling in Me, performing His works.
13. 11MURBelieve, that I am in my Father, and my Father in me. And if not, believe, at least, on account of the works.BSBBSB: Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me—or at least believe on account of the works themselves.
14. 12MURVerily, verily, I say to you: He that believeth in me, the works which I do, will he also do. And greater than these will he do, because I go unto my Father.BSBBSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
15. 13MURAnd what ye shall ask in my name, I will do for you; that the Father may be glorified in his Son.BSBBSB: And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

And he that loveth me, will be loved by my Father: and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.BSBBSB: Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.”
25. 22MURJudas, not Iscariot, said to him: My Lord, how is it that thou art to manifest thyself to us, and not to the world?BSBBSB: Judas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, why are You going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”
26. 23MURJesus answered, and said to him: He that loveth me, observeth my instruction; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him.BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
27. 24MURBut he that loveth me not, observeth not my instruction. And the instruction which ye hear, is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.BSBBSB: Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. The word that you hear is not My own, but it is from the Father who sent Me.

32. 28MURYe have heard what I said to you that I go away, and come again to you. If ye had loved me, ye would have rejoiced, that I go to my Father; for my Father is greater than IBSBBSB: You heard Me say, ‘I am going away, and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.
33. 29MURAnd now, lo, I have told you, before it occurreth; so that when it shall have occurred, ye may believe.BSBBSB: And now I have told you before it happens, so that when it does happen, you will believe.
34. 30MURHereafter I shall not converse much with you; for the ruler of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.BSBBSB: I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming, and he has no claim on Me.
35. 31MURBut that the world may know, that I love my Father, and as my Father commanded me, so I do. Arise; let us go hence.BSBBSB: But I do exactly what the Father has commanded Me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Get up! Let us go on from here.
