1. Rejoice in the Lord

2. 1MURWherefore, my beloved and dear brethren, my joy and my crown!-so stand ye fast in our Lord, my beloved!BSBBSB: Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you must stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.
3. 2MURI beseech of Euodias and Syntyche, that they be of one mind in our Lord.BSBBSB: I urge Euodia and Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord.
4. 3MURI also beseech of thee, my true yokefellow, that thou assist those women who toiled with me in the gospel; together with Clement, and with the rest of my helpers, whose names are written in the book of life.BSBBSB: Yes, and I ask you, my true yokefellow, to help these women who have contended at my side for the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.
5. 4MURRejoice ye in our Lord, at all times; and again I say, Rejoice.BSBBSB: Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
6. 5MURLet your humility be recognized among all men. Our Lord is near.BSBBSB: Let your gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord is near.
7. 6MURBe anxious for nothing; but at all times, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, make known your requests before God.BSBBSB: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
8. 7MURAnd the peace of God, which surpasseth all knowledge, will keep your hearts and your minds, through Jesus the Messiah.BSBBSB: And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
9. 8MURFinally, my brethren, what things are true, and what things are decorous, and what things are right, and what things are pure, and what things are lovely, and what things are commendable, and deeds of praise and approbation, on these be your thoughts.BSBBSB: Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things.
10. 9MURWhat things ye have learned, and received, and heard, and seen, in me, these do ye: and the God of peace will be with you.BSBBSB: Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

11. The Generosity of the Philippians

    (2 Corinthians 8:1–15)

12. 10MURAnd I rejoice greatly in our Lord, that ye have again commenced caring for me; even as ye had before cared for me, but ye had not the opportunity.BSBBSB: Now I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.
13. 11MURYet I say this, not because I was in want; for I have learned to make that satisfy me, which I have.BSBBSB: I am not saying this out of need, for I have learned to be content regardless of my circumstances.
14. 12MURI know how to be depressed, and I also know how to abound in every thing; and in all things am I exercised, both in fullness and in famine, in abundance and in penury.BSBBSB: I know how to live humbly, and I know how to abound. In any and every situation I have learned the secret of being filled and being hungry, of having plenty and having need.
15. 13MURI find strength for every thing, in the Messiah who strengtheneth me.BSBBSB: I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
16. 14MURYet ye have done well, in that ye communicated to my necessities.BSBBSB: Nevertheless, you have done well to share in my affliction.
17. 15MURAnd ye know also, Philippians, that in the beginning of the annunciation, when I left Macedonia, not one of the churches communicated with me in respect to receiving and giving, except ye only;BSBBSB: And as you Philippians know, in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church but you partnered with me in the matter of giving and receiving.
18. 16MURthat also at Thessalonica, once and again ye sent me relief.BSBBSB: For even while I was in Thessalonica, you provided for my needs again and again.
19. 17MURNot that I desire a gift; but I wish fruits may multiply unto you.BSBBSB: Not that I am seeking a gift, but I am looking for the fruit that may be credited to your account.
20. 18MURI have now received all, and I abound, and am full: and I accepted all that ye sent to me by Epaphroditus, a sweet odor, and an acceptable sacrifice that pleaseth God.BSBBSB: I have all I need and more, now that I have received your gifts from Epaphroditus. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
21. 19MURAnd may God supply all your necessity, according to his riches, in the glory of Jesus the Messiah.BSBBSB: And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
22. 20MURAnd to God our Father, be glory and honor, for ever and ever. Amen.BSBBSB: To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

23. Final Greetings

    (Ephesians 6:21–24; 2 Timothy 4:19–22)

24. 21MURSalute all the saints who are in Jesus the Messiah. The brethren who are with me, salute you.BSBBSB: Greet all the saints in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you greetings.
25. 22MURAll the saints salute you, especially those of Caesar's household.BSBBSB: All the saints send you greetings, especially those from the household of Caesar.
26. 23MURThe grace of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, be with you all. Amen.BSBBSB: The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
