1 UDB त्यसकारण, ख्रीष्टले आफ्नो शरीरमा कष्ट भोग्नुभएको कारणले तिमीहरू पनि कष्ट भोग्न तयार होओ। आफ्ना शरीरहरूमा कष्ट भोग्नेहरूले आफूले पाप गर्न काम छाडेका हुन्छन्। BSB BSB: Therefore, since Christ suffered in His body, arm yourselves with the same resolve, because anyone who has suffered in his body is done with sin.
2 UDB परिणामस्वरूप, तिनीहरूको यस पृथ्वीको बाँकी समयमा, पापी मानिसहरूले गर्न इच्छा गर्ने कुराहरू तिनीहरूले गर्दैनन्, तर त्यसको साटोमा तिनीहरूले गरून् भनी परमेश्वरले इच्छा गर्नुभएका कुराहरू तिनीहरूले गर्छन्। BSB BSB: Consequently, he does not live out his remaining time on earth for human passions, but for the will of God.
3 UDB परमेश्वरलाई नचिन्ने मानिसहरूले गर्न इच्छा गर्ने कुराहरू गर्दै तिमीहरूले यस पृथ्वीमा धेरै समय बिताइसकेकोा कारणले म तिमीहरूलाई त्यसो भन्छु। विगतमा तिमीहरूले सबै किसिमका यौनका अनैतिक कामहरू गर्यौ, तिमीहरूले मदिरा पिएर मात्तियौ र त्यसपछि छाडापन तथा भोजको मोजमजामा सहभागी भयौ, र तिमीहरूले मूर्तिहरू पुज्यौ जुन परमेश्वरको दृष्टिमा घृणित कुरा हो। BSB BSB: For you have spent enough time in the past carrying out the same desires as the Gentiles: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and detestable idolatry.
4 UDB तिमीहरूका मित्रहरूले यी कुराहरू गर्दा जब तिमीहरू फेरि तिनीहरूसँग सहभगी हुँदैनौ, तब तिनीहरू आश्चर्यमा पर्छन्। परिणामस्वरूप तिनीहरूले तिमीहरूका बारेमा खराब कुराहरू भन्छन्। BSB BSB: Because of this, they consider it strange of you not to plunge with them into the same flood of reckless indiscretion, and they heap abuse on you.
5 UDB तर एक दिन तिनीहरूले गरेका हरेक कुराको हिसाब तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरलाई दिनुपर्नेछ। उहाँले नै तिनीहरूको इन्साफ गर्नुहुनेछ। BSB BSB: But they will have to give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
7 UDB यस पृथ्वीमा भएका सबै कुराहरू चाँडै नै वितेर जानेछन्। त्यसकारण, निरन्तर बुद्धिमान भएर विचार गर र आफ्नो विचारलाई नियन्त्रण गर जसले गर्दा तिमीहरूले राम्ररी प्रार्थना गर्न सक्छौ। BSB BSB: The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray.
8 UDB सबैभन्दा महत्वपूर्ण कुरा, एकअर्कालाई साँचो किसिमले प्रेम गर, किनभने हामीले अरूलाई प्रेम गर्छौं भने, तिनीहरूले के खराबी गरेका छन् भनी पत्ता लगाउने कोसिस हामी गर्नेछैनौं। BSB BSB: Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
9 UDB तिमीहरूका माझमा आइपुग्ने ख्रीष्टियन यात्रुहरूलाई खाना र बास बस्ने व्यवस्था मिलाईदेओ, र गनसो नगरी यो काम गर। BSB BSB: Show hospitality to one another without complaining.
10 UDB विश्वासीहरूले अरूको सेवा गरून् भनेर परमेश्वरले दिनुभएका सबै वरदानहरूलाई तिनीहरूले प्रयोग गर्नुपर्छ। परमेश्वरले कृपा गरेर तिनीहरूलाई दिनुभएका विभिन्न वरदानहरूलाई तिनीहरूले राम्ररी व्यवस्थापन गर्नुपर्छ। BSB BSB: As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another.
11 UDB विश्वासीहरूको सभाका बोल्नेहरूले तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरको वचन बोल्दैछन् भनेजस्तै गरी बोल्नुपर्छ। अरूप्रति दयापूर्ण कामहरू गर्नेहरूले परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूलाई दिनुहुने शक्तिमा गर्नुपर्छ जसले गर्दा येशू ख्रीष्टले हामीलाई सामर्थी तुल्याउनु भएअनुसार तिमीहरूले परमेश्वरको आदर गर्न सक। हामी सबैले परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गर्न सकौं किनभने हरेक कुरामाथि सदासर्वदा राज्य गर्ने अधिकार उहाँसँग छ। यसै होस्! BSB BSB: If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
12 UDB तिमीहरू जसलाई म प्रेम गर्छु, तिमीहरू ख्रीष्टकोा भएकाो कारणले तिमीहरूले सहनुपरेका कष्टपूर्ण कुराहरूका बारेमा अचम्म नमान। ती कुराहरूले तिमीहरूलाई जाँच गर्दैछन् जसरी मानिसहरूले धातुलाई आगोमा हालेर त्यसको जाँच। केही अनौठो कुरा तिमीहरूलाई भइरहेको छ भनी विचार नगर। BSB BSB: Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you.
13 UDB बरु, ख्रीष्टले भोग्नुपरेका जस्तै किसिमका कष्टका कुराहरू तिमीहरूले पनि सहनुपरेको कारणले आनन्द गर। जब ख्रीष्ट पेरि आउनुहुन्छ र उहाँ कति महिमित हुनुहुन्छ भनी हरेक व्यक्तिलाई देखाउनुहुन्छ तब तिमीहरू पनि अत्यन्तै खुशी हुन सक्नेछौ भन्ने जानेर तिमीहरूले दुःख भोग्दा आनन्दित होओ। BSB BSB: But rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory.
14 UDB तिमीहरूले ख्रीष्टमा विश्वास गरेको कारणले अरूले तिमीहरूको अपमान गर्छन् भने, परमेश्वर तिमीहरूसँग खुशी हुनुहुन्छ, किनभने परमेश्वरका आत्मा, परमेश्वर कति महान् हुनुहुन्छ भनी प्रकट गर्नुहुने आत्माले तिमीहरूमा बास गर्नुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.
15 UDB तिमीहरूले दुःख भोग्छौ भने, तिमीहरूले कसैको हत्या गरेको वा चोरी गरेको वा अरू कुनै किसिमको खराब काम गरेको कारणले, अथवा तिमीहरूले अरू कसैको मामिलामा दख्खल दिएको कारणले दुःख नभोग। BSB BSB: Indeed, none of you should suffer as a murderer or thief or wrongdoer, or even as a meddler.
16 UDB तर तिमीहरू ख्रीष्टियन भएको कारणले तिमीहरूले दुःख भोग्छौ भने त, त्यसको निम्ति शर्म नमान। बरु तिमीहरू ख्रीष्टका भएको कारणले तिमीहरूले दुःख भग्दैछौ भने परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गर। BSB BSB: But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that you bear that name.
17 UDB यतिबेला परमेश्वरले आफ्ना मानिसहरूको इन्साफ गर्न सुरु गर्नुहुने समय भएको र उहाँले सबभन्दा पहिले आफ्नै मानिसहरूको इन्साफ गर्नुहुने भएको कारणले नै म यसो भन्छु। हामी विश्वासीहरूको इन्साफ उहाँले सबभन्दा पहिले गर्नुहुने भएको कारणले, उहाँबाट आउने सुसमाचारको आज्ञापालन नगर्नेहरूमाथि हुन आउने भयानक कुराहरूका बारेमा विचार गर! BSB BSB: For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?
18 UDB जस्तो धर्मशास्त्रमा लेखिएको छ त्यो त्यस्तै हुनेछः “धेरै जना धर्मी मानिसहरूले स्वर्ग जानुअघि धेरै वटा कठिन जाँचहरूको सामना गर्नुपर्नेछ। यसले अधर्मी र पापी मानिसहरूले निश्चय पनि परमेश्वरबाट झन् धेरै असह्य दण्डको समना गर्नुपर्नेछ!” BSB BSB: And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
19 UDB त्यसकारण परमेश्वरको इच्छाको कारणले कष्ट भोग्नेहरूले तिनीहरूलाई सुरक्षित राख्न परमेश्वरमा नै भरोसा गर्नुपर्छ—परमेश्वरले नै तिनीहरूको सृष्टि गर्नुभएको हो र उहाँले जे गर्ने प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुहुन्छ त्यो उहाँले सधैं पूरा गर्नुहुन्छ। र यसैले तिनीहरूले जे ठिक छ त्यो निरन्तर गर्नुपर्छ। BSB BSB: So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should entrust their souls to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.
